33. A Renewed Promise
Destiny stood outside Crystal's office door. She knocked and her mother answered.
"Destiny? Everything okay?"
Can we go out to lunch, please?"
"Of course. Let me put stuff away."
"Okay."
She waited for her mother in the hall and a few minutes later Crystal came out. She grabbed her by the arm and walked to town with her for lunch. When they get to town, Crystal asked her.
"Did he give the word?"
"Yes. Lunch and a fitting."
"I think a fitting and then lunch."
"Okay. Sounds good. What have been doing in your office?"
"Well, it's a vow renewal. I'm writing vows."
"Oh okay. Dad thought something was wrong."
"No. I'm keeping your secret."
"Not a secret anymore."
"Well, yes. Not anymore."

Crystal walked into the castle and the entry hallway looked absolutely magical. Lights were hanging from the ceiling that looked like icicles dropping down. Along the walls, there were lights of purple, white, blue, green, gold, and red. Inside the ballroom, it was decorated for the ceremony. There was an archway decorated with calla lilies of purple, white, and black. Chairs were set up with purple and black ribbons tieing the fabric to the back. The aisle had a long piece of black fabric with purple and white flowers painted on it. Crystal was sitting on the balcony and taking in the morning. Killian was still asleep and she could his soft snoring from across the room. She was in heaven and she was glad she decided to stay. She got up and walked over to the bed and climbed back in. Killian sensed her and rolled over and pulled her close to him. She snuggled up close to him and got lost in the feeling of his arms around hers. She wished the moment would never end and that it could always feel like this where she was happy and secure and felt like nothing could touch her again. She didn't know how much longer this would last before the next thing came up. She knew in two years, Destiny would be leaving for Sea Cave as their Luna and in four years, Alex and Missy would be taking over. There are so many things that went through her mind. Killian was packing the bags the next morning when Crystal woke up. She sat up and stretched and just stared at him. He stopped for a moment and kissed her and handed her some clothes and told her that her bathroom things were still in there. She slowly got up and shut the door as she started to clean herself up but she stopped. She smiled to herself as she started the shower and climbed in. She oaked her hair and closed her eyes and let the hot water cover her entire body, but she smiled again when her body was covered by something warmer. When she opened her eyes and saw a naked Killian in front of her and his hands were now wrapped around her. He kissed her and she returned it and was a slow makeout session, but as the heat of the shower rose, so did the heat between them. He had her backed against the shower wall as his fingers found their mark in her strawberry patch. She gasped at the sweet intrusion and gripped his shoulders as his other arm wrapped around her to steady her.

Sage was not always what she went by. As a witch, she had the power of eternal life. Sage was the name she went by now and so far she thought this might be her last. Sage had lived many lives and was born in the 1800s. She had learned many skills over time and fought many wars with other witches and sometimes against other witches. As time went by, she had learned it was easier to be allied with those different from her and so far it paid off. She grew up learning and hearing stories of what happened to the original Alpha King and Luna Queen and was told that witches would never have such an alliance again because there would never be another King and Queen. Like most others, she heard the rumors of what happened to Crystal and like most others, there was nothing she could do. Growing up, Blake thought having wolves and witches around was normal. He never knew that it was all new and because of him. It was obvious that there was something special about Blake, but none were sure if it was enough to make sense for the last living dragon to want him. 'There was fire everywhere and my mother had me and was flying to the highest mountain. At the top, there was a cave. She sat me down at the mouth and told me if she didn't come back, to go to the depths of the cave and to never come out until she felt a mate bond pull. When she felt that, another dragon was close and she would be safe. She watched as the fires spread and the dragons flew fighting an enemy she couldn't see from here. She knew however that it was man. Humans hated dragons and tried to kill them off. She knew other dragons were hidden as the years went by that she stayed at the mouth, she heard the piercing scream of the dragons being killed one after another. She crawled to the very end of the cave and it was like an icebox, so she shifted and blew her fire and made sure no one could get to where she was. When Thea brought up the topic of humans, no one knew what to say. None had ever encountered a human before. When Sage sat at the table, she was asked if she knew anything that happened and if she had ever encountered humans before. She said yes and left for the library. When she came back down, she had an old book none of them had ever seen before. She flipped it open and tossed it up and it was like a hologram in the air. Killian called Crystal in his office early one morning six weeks after Sage shared the history of humans. She walked in, confused at first but when she saw the goblet and papers on the desk, she knew."Are you sure it's safe?""Thea was the only reason we didn't. She is part of this family now.
