Thomas? Why does he have anything to do with any of this? I know he was her mate, Eva had told me long ago.

Nevertheless, I never did anything to him that could upset her this much. I barely even spared a glance towards him unless he bothered me first.

"I don't understand. Why is this suddenly about him?" The words flew out heedlessly, voicing out my confusion and disagreement towards her.

To think that she had been playing me behind my back, leaking all the secrets I had solely opened up on her to him, and for him to embarrass me in front of all the people in the pack.
