Rose shook out her fur before gazing up at Nico. His eyes were wide as he stared down at us. Rose took a step forward, running her head over his leg before she circled him. He reached down to touch our fur and Rose raised her head.

“You’re so beautiful, Rose.” Nico said in awe as his fingers ran through our fur. Rose was purring like a little puppy at his soft caress on our fur.

“How did you know my wolf’s name?” I linked Nico. It was strange he knew already, since I hadn’t told anyone, not even my family.

“Apparently, she connected with Hawk. He said he'd known for a few weeks but wouldn’t tell me anything.”

“How is that possible when I didn’t have my wolf?”

“Are you sure? He’s insisting he sensed her before we even came home.”

“Ummm…” I was at a loss. No one knew I got my wolf early, except my parents. Yes, Rose came to me early, but I still had to wait until I was eighteen to shift. That’s all she told me. No answer as to why. I guess tonight I’ll find out.
