LOGINAYLA'S POV
"Ayla! Ayla, darling. Get up now; we need to go!" my mother yelled at me softly, dragging me up from the floor where I sat playing with the wooden toys she had made for me.'But what of father? aren't we going to wait for him?' I asked as my eyes followed my mother while she walked around our cottage.
"Ayla, you need to listen now. Bad people are coming, and if we don't leave now, they'll get us", my mother said, holding my arms with a trembling voice.
I didn't know who they were; I just knew they were bad, and my father told me I had to always listen to my mother.
She packed a little Bag and led me down a flight of stairs through a door I never knew we had on our floor.
There she took me into the forest, carried me and ran as fast as she could.
She panted heavily while running; the cold air was creeping into her, weakening her with every pace she took. But she didn't stop, Mother was determined to take me away from the bad people....she ran so fast she didn't know when she stepped on a thorn Bush, she stumbled over wrapping me over her chest so I'd not take a single bruise.
When she'd let go of her release a little, I crawled out of her arms, and mother was bleeding so bad, the thorns had cut her feet and ankles open, and she couldn't even moved them, she cried silently holding back her wail.
With tears and pain, she turned to me "Run, Ayla, run and hide!" "Do not let them get you","Sobbing," I sat there in hesitation, unwilling to move.
My mother, who couldn't take it anymore and desperately wanted me to leave, sent me to get her water from the river nearby and sternly warned me that if I saw any wolf-like people, I had to hide behind the trees in the woods unless they'd kill me.
She knew they were coming in her direction and made me believe the water could help her back up, so I left her, running into the forest to find the water.
"Your father will be here soon, be safe for me". she whispered with tears in her eyes.
Running into the forest as fast as my little feet could carry me, the trees danced around as the wind led them. Soon, I saw the sight of the river as I increased my pace.
On getting there, I quickly took out the little bottle with me, opened it and dipped it into the water as my hands trembled. hearing some footsteps approaching, before I could get on my feet, I was lifted by a familiar strong arm.
He carried me up, covering my mouth, and looked at me.....it was father.
I hugged him tightly while he carried me away. There, I started to hear my mother's screams and the sound of howls, the Bad people got her.
I cried so hard that my Dad covered my mouth so they couldn't hear us.
Soon, they were gone, and when we went back to where mother was, she had been brutally torn to pieces. That father covered my eyes to protect me from seeing how they left my Mother.
But I saw it all, It stung my heart so much that I lost consciousness.....
"Mistress! Mistress!"I stood up, startled; the so-called maids were waking me up from my nightmare.
"Mistress, Master Darius requests u meet him at the garden," One of the maids said.
"You should take a shower now and dress up, he doesn't like waiting," they added.
Standing up from the soft bed I lay in, I woke up to reality.
My cruel fate.I stepped into the warm shower the maids prepared for me. I was being treated well, but that won't distract me from the fact that these people had taken away everything I had in life.
I sank into deep thoughts in the shower, recalling my mum's death, the screams from my father while burning to death... neither of they both didn't deserved that. I have to fight back for my family!
But how these people have me in their arms and can kill me in an instant, even though Darius needs an heir from me, he can just buy another woman to do that.
I needed to think well and fast.
DARIUS POV
"Stop!" I ordered the woman beside me, whose hands were already shaky, while caressing my shoulders.
She stopped immediately, shaking in fear
'Tell them to make my bath right away.'
"Yes, Alpha," she said, bowing her head while running out of the room.
Pulling off my clothes and tying my robe, I sat beside the window, looking back at the acres of land spread far across the castle. The breeze was particularly warm and soft as it brushed my hair backwards.
"It's ready, master". The maid who was back informed me.
I stepped into the bath house, and the maids helped me remove my robe and led me into the bath.
They washed me gently, caressing each part of my body in a soft motion.
'Tell the girl to get ready and meet me in the garden', I ordered one of the maids.
She rushed out, heading to deliver my message...
Staring at my broad, built, and chiselled shoulders....I must admit my look after a bath is breathtaking; the maids never cease to admire when they get the chance.
After dressing up, I dismissed them, and in speed, I was already at the garden. These are some of the powers u inhabit from being an Alpha.
After standing impatiently for a while, she was already there standing by the door and staring at me, I could smell her... she was clenching her fists.
Displeased at how this mere girl looked at me and kept me waiting, I yelled at her.
'Do u intend to stand there forever? I'm sure u were told I don't like waiting!'I turned to her.
She walked in, approaching me. I could smell the fear within her and how she tried to hide it with a shaky confidence.
Such a silly girl, I said within.
'You were saying something yesterday slayer's child before Remus rudely walked in, what was it...?' I asked, walking around her.
AYLA'S POV
My father told me more about these cruel animals as I grew. They had a keen sense of smell so strong they could smell u from a mile.... They could even smell to the depths of ur souls, so I wasn't too shocked when he noticed I'd be standing and staring for a while. After yelling at me for keeping him waiting while I stood at the door, I walked up to him wondering why he called me out to this garden...
Standing still while he circled me like a vulture planning to devour its dead meat, he asked me what I was saying yesterday before Remus barged in.
"Shit!" I almost forgot about that.
'I said nothing, ' I replied.
"Something about you defying my will to bear me a child?"
I gulped; his tone was changing."See here, Slayer's child", as he always called me, reminding me of who I am.
" People like you have no say and no opposition to people like me, when we get you we own you and do as you're told or you die...just like ur miserable parents",
"They're not..." I was about to reply when his hand circled my neck and his finger grew so long piercing into the side of my neckline while he stood behind me.
He spoke into my ears...
"You do not speak back to me, Ayla." For the first time, my name came out of his mouth."I could break you at a snap if u dare defy me; no one defies me! Your father has spent his years killing my kind; do not think that u have not carried his sins".
His cold breath swept over my jawline and neck while he spoke; his voice was filled with pain and burning anger, and I could feel his eyes getting brighter. He let go of me and threw me to the floor. I was almost out of breath as he held my neck for a long time. He had left like he was never there.
I didn't notice how much fear had gripped me; I couldn't even feel my legs anymore.
I sat there on the floor, coughing and gasping for air, recalling everything he said....he wasn't someone that could be shaken easily; it was clear he hated my whole bloodline and would do anything to wipe it out.
Why does he need me to bear him an heir then? Why didn't he just marry one of their kind?
AYLA’S POVThe night air felt cold and sharp on my skin, filled with the smell of blood and smoke drifting from the forest. I stood on a small balcony outside the Great Hall, watching the forest edge burn in the moonlight.Darius stood nearby, his posture rigid, every muscle coiled like a spring. The guards patrolled the perimeter, whispers of urgency passing between them.“They’re close,” he said, his voice low but steady. “Northern Watch reports they’re moving faster than expected.”I swallowed, feeling the truth sink in. These weren’t just stories. The danger was real, alive, and I was caught in it.“Will you… fight?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.Darius’ eyes found mine, intense and unreadable. “Do you think I let anyone threaten my lands without answering?” His gaze hardened. “Especially tonight.”DARIUS’ POVThe girl watches me like she can see past the surface, past the Alpha mask I wear. That makes her dangerous because of her mind and her curiosity. The Northern p
AYLA’S POVThe heavy doors of the Great Hall loomed over me, carved with snarling wolves and crimson sigils. My legs trembled beneath the layers of my gown, but I refused to let Darius see my fear, at least not fully. The hall was enormous, with a long polished table running down the center, flanked by high-backed chairs. Candles flickered along the walls, casting shadows that danced like predators waiting in the dark.“Sit,” a deep voice commanded from the head of the table. My eyes lifted, meeting Darius’ cold gaze. He lounged casually in his chair, yet every inch of him radiated danger. Even sitting, he was an Alpha.I lowered myself into the chair across from him, trying to steady my breathing. Every instinct screamed at me to flee, to disappear, but I had nowhere to go.Darius studied me like a predator examining prey. “You’re quiet,” he said, his tone flat but heavy with unspoken threat. “Do you always obey without a word?”“I don’t speak without reason,” I said, my voice shakin
AYLA'S POVSummoned by the superior Alpha as said by my maid, I had no choice but to obey and let them lead me to the hall in which he waited for me.The maids had come in earlier to inform me that the Alpha had called me in to have Dinner with him in the Great hall....I wondered where that was.Arriving at a huge wooden door, With a wolf head carving at the front, it was opened by the two door men at the entrance.....surprisingly it took 2 people to open the door, must be really heavy I thought.Inside of the hall lied a long table with chairs on each side and a particularly special chair made for the Ruler. There he was sitting on that Chair, with his uptight demeanour, his eyes narrowed at me piercing with a gaze as I walked down to where I was to be seated just beside him.My meal was already laid down on the table for me, but I still sat there not willing to eat.....before he spoke."You skipped ur meals today, why?" He asked. How should that concern you, I hate it here and how a

DARIUS POV"They're bringing in the girls," Chase informed me as he walked to stand beside me.Soon, a line of girls in a straightened line began to fill the hall, all wearing seductive dresses and flashing smiles at me.. "Attractive," I thought, but none looked peculiar enough to look like my bride. They danced for a while, all flashing their breasts and swaying their hips to draw my attention. I alerted Chase in a dry tone to end the dancing as I was bored with it.....The courtly musicians soon ended the music, and the girls assembled once again in straight lines opposite each other on each side of the wall."The girls have each danced to display themselves and are waiting for you to make your choice, Alpha", the senior nun said in a bow.I stood up and walked down the hall, looking amongst the girls. None seemed to fit my taste, but a few steps ahead, I turned back at a girl whom I noticed I had not really seen dancing at the hall. I walked back to take a look at the girl with h
DARIUS POVIt was very early the next morning when I awoke and got ready to go to the Church Downtown. I brushed my hair again and buttoned my shirt.A knock sounded on my door."Come in," I snarled, and in walked one of the maids with a tray containing my daily breakfast."Your meal, alpha," she drawled with a hint of lust in her voice.'I could use the release right now,' I thought."Put it on the table," I commanded, and she sashayed to the table."Will that be all you need, sir?"I felt the man in my rise, and I suddenly wanted to hurt someone.Thankfully, one presented itself before me.Fannie.The maid who knew how to please me as much as she could."Take off your clothes," I snapped. She gave me a small smile and began to strip slowly."I don't have all day", I snapped at her, and on sensing the edge in my voice, she hurried out of her clothes, and I pulled down my pants."On your knees," I commanded, and she rushed to her knees and took me in her hands."You know what to do"S
