ログイン" What about her?" His inquire came out softly and lazy. Ayla's eyes suddenly contracted fiercely and rolled to her brain! She thought she might collapse any moment from now! No! She can't be known! Her identity can't be revealed! The senior nun must not reveal my identity! " Errr......that's Ayla, the wolfslayer's daughter." Damn! The atmosphere dropped to a freezing point and Alpha Darius felt his lips twitched for a second. He looked back at the senior nun, snapping his brows coldly and back at Ayla, whose legs was already trembling violently. " You mean Morgan and Arnold's daughter?" He hissed, finding it hard to believe. " Yes." The senior nun replied. " We found her not too long when her father was set ablaze." Darius unexpectedly chuckled dryly, and his eyes lowered. " The slayer's daughter hun?" He approached Ayla even closer, gazing at her keenly like she was his prey and he lifted her chin, allowing her nervous dim eyes to met his. " Then, I guess my bride is in front of me." ****** A war was coming and it is predicted there might be no survivors. With this, Darius, a heartless, dangerous and crazy Alpha king of the Crimson moon, who was feared by all, set to get a bride who would give him an heir. Their pack was cursed, making it impossible. This led them to a downtown church, where ladies are sold like slaves and nuns, to seek bride. However, he encountered the least person he thought! The daughter of the wolves slayer's? This was going to be fun! But would something change between Ayla's hatred for the wolves and Darius vengeance on Ayla? What would fate write for them?
もっと見るAYLA POV.
I sat crouched down on the small, uncomfortable bed in the dark room I had been kept in since the previous day.
It felt good to finally have some silence. The other ladies I shared the room with had gone out for an evening lesson. The dance lesson.
'Some dance lessons it is. More like the Art of Seduction'.
My messy, long, and wild hair cascaded around my face, giving me a kind of protection and security that I desperately needed.
I ran a hand through the messy mass and wrapped my hands around myself. Those damned idiots who had brought me to this prison were not to be trusted.
'No wonder it is said to never trust strangers.'
There should be a way to get out of this damned hell hole. The atmosphere of this place was very dark and uncomfortable.
As I looked up at the ceiling high window panes, the door was pushed open, and I turned to look at it from behind my hair veil with neck breaking speed.
The middle-aged woman who had a black dress with a white cross on it had a grim look on her face.
"And what are you doing here?", she snapped.
I did not want to answer her. The damned hypocrite.
"I am talking to you, whore"
I refused to go he her the satisfaction of scaring me. I remained mute, my lips pressing in a thin line.
I suddenly felt a stinging sensation near my throat, and my eyes flew wide open.
I saw her in front of me with an unsmiling face, a small and shiny dagger pressed to my neck.
"You will fucking answer me when I talk to you, bitch. You will do as you are told. The sooner you start acting like the other girls here, the better for you"
I gulped in fright. The lightest movement could send the object into my throat. She had a dangerous glint in her eyes.
My resolve wavered for a moment, and I stood up on defeat.
"Let me just tell you this. This is what you were born for. This is your fate, and you will accept it, or we will make you. Now get out there and join the other girls"
Tears rolled down my cheeks.
'Could this really be my fate?'
*
"Ah... stop!!"
The petite lady in front of me groaned in pain, but I could barely hear her.
I was enraged.
"You dare insult me, the alpha of this pack. Have you lost your mind?", I growled at her, and she whimpered under my harsh grasp.
"P-please!"
I had her breast in one of my palms, pinned to the back of her waist as my other hand shoved her face towards the coal place.
"P-please, a-alph-pha. I-I sorry"
She choked out as she begged, trying to wriggle herself out of my hold, the heat doing its job of melting her, but she was no match for me. Dalia or Daniella. I could not recall her name, and that was the least of my worries at the moment.
"Be quiet," I growled, yanking her hair more tightly. "You dare talk back at me. "I think I've been so lenient with you.
"P-please, stop," she choked out, but I barely heard her.
I hummed as I felt the exhilarating sensation build in my groin, and a groan escaped my lips.
Her face turned slightly blue as her voice became more faint with each further shove.
"P-please"
The door flew open, and my face turned to it. My damn beta, Chase strolled in like he owned my room.
My mood was killed instantly. I pushed the minx away.
I picked a glass of cold water from the table and then lit a cigarette, taking a lungful of that smoke.
Her face was white as she heaved heavily and drew in a lungful of air.
She held her neck and coughed slightly, fanning herself with her hands.
"Get out, Dalia."
She nodded like a sheep and grabbed her clothes and threw them on, rushing out of the room, almost bumping into the wall as she ran blindly.
"If there was no need to knock, there would not be a fucking door", I snapped at him but he just shrugged with a boyish grin.
I puffed in his face and poured myself a drink from the bottle which I had been drinking.
"You could have killed that whore"
"And that would not have been any of your business", I snapped back.
He raised his hands in surrender.
If he was not someone who was as close as a brother to me, he would have been searching for his head now.
"Two more families have been declared missing and one other of our guards was found dead", he walked over to me and took a stub of cigar and lit it. "Have you heard?"
I take a large gulp of my drink. "Of course. I'm the damn alpha for a reason", I replied.
"And?"
"I'm working on it"
"Remus is asking for war. Damn, he's bringing war"
I scoffed. I knew all these.
"What do you plan to do?"
"I'm working on it", I repeated in a dead tone.
He sighed and walked over to sit at the edge of my bed.
"There could be no survivors?"
"We'll see about that", I replied indifferently. "I've got something up my sleeve"
"Sure", he said and fell silent for a momet. "I'm here for a different cause right now though"
I look at him and he cocks his brow.
"It would not hurt to have a plan to sustain the legacy of the pack", he said with a shrug.
I turned sharply to him.
"Is this what I think you're trying to say?"
He shrugs. "You're not getting any younger man. You need an heir"
I refrained from rolling my eyes. "Have you forgotten about the curse? Will you give me the heir?", I asked sarcastically.
"Well, not me. And not any of our females either. You can always get a bride from somewhere else..."
I raised a brow in intrigue. "You mean?"
"The Church Downtown"
I groaned lowly. "You want me to get married to a fucking nun?", I growl, throwing my hands up.
Goddess knows of he was not so close to me, he would have a different story.
He raised his hand, noticing the dangerous glint in my eyes as he stalled.
"Well, technically. Yes. Young fertile ladies are taken over there and are trained to pleasure any starved wolf. You can buy a bride from there."
I cock a brow.
'This is interesting.'
"We leave first thing in the morning!"
AYLA’S POVThe night air felt cold and sharp on my skin, filled with the smell of blood and smoke drifting from the forest. I stood on a small balcony outside the Great Hall, watching the forest edge burn in the moonlight.Darius stood nearby, his posture rigid, every muscle coiled like a spring. The guards patrolled the perimeter, whispers of urgency passing between them.“They’re close,” he said, his voice low but steady. “Northern Watch reports they’re moving faster than expected.”I swallowed, feeling the truth sink in. These weren’t just stories. The danger was real, alive, and I was caught in it.“Will you… fight?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.Darius’ eyes found mine, intense and unreadable. “Do you think I let anyone threaten my lands without answering?” His gaze hardened. “Especially tonight.”DARIUS’ POVThe girl watches me like she can see past the surface, past the Alpha mask I wear. That makes her dangerous because of her mind and her curiosity. The Northern p
AYLA’S POVThe heavy doors of the Great Hall loomed over me, carved with snarling wolves and crimson sigils. My legs trembled beneath the layers of my gown, but I refused to let Darius see my fear, at least not fully. The hall was enormous, with a long polished table running down the center, flanked by high-backed chairs. Candles flickered along the walls, casting shadows that danced like predators waiting in the dark.“Sit,” a deep voice commanded from the head of the table. My eyes lifted, meeting Darius’ cold gaze. He lounged casually in his chair, yet every inch of him radiated danger. Even sitting, he was an Alpha.I lowered myself into the chair across from him, trying to steady my breathing. Every instinct screamed at me to flee, to disappear, but I had nowhere to go.Darius studied me like a predator examining prey. “You’re quiet,” he said, his tone flat but heavy with unspoken threat. “Do you always obey without a word?”“I don’t speak without reason,” I said, my voice shakin
AYLA'S POVSummoned by the superior Alpha as said by my maid, I had no choice but to obey and let them lead me to the hall in which he waited for me.The maids had come in earlier to inform me that the Alpha had called me in to have Dinner with him in the Great hall....I wondered where that was.Arriving at a huge wooden door, With a wolf head carving at the front, it was opened by the two door men at the entrance.....surprisingly it took 2 people to open the door, must be really heavy I thought.Inside of the hall lied a long table with chairs on each side and a particularly special chair made for the Ruler. There he was sitting on that Chair, with his uptight demeanour, his eyes narrowed at me piercing with a gaze as I walked down to where I was to be seated just beside him.My meal was already laid down on the table for me, but I still sat there not willing to eat.....before he spoke."You skipped ur meals today, why?" He asked. How should that concern you, I hate it here and how a
AYLA'S POV "Ayla! Ayla, darling. Get up now; we need to go!" my mother yelled at me softly, dragging me up from the floor where I sat playing with the wooden toys she had made for me.'But what of father? aren't we going to wait for him?' I asked as my eyes followed my mother while she walked around our cottage."Ayla, you need to listen now. Bad people are coming, and if we don't leave now, they'll get us", my mother said, holding my arms with a trembling voice.I didn't know who they were; I just knew they were bad, and my father told me I had to always listen to my mother. She packed a little Bag and led me down a flight of stairs through a door I never knew we had on our floor. There she took me into the forest, carried me and ran as fast as she could. She panted heavily while running; the cold air was creeping into her, weakening her with every pace she took. But she didn't stop, Mother was determined to take me away from the bad people....she ran so fast she didn't know when
