He must have sensed my fear. He was a predator who could smell fear and use it against his prey.

I couldn’t even run out of a speeding car if I wanted to. I was at a dead end, yet again, regretting ever choosing to go with this Alpha over dying in the hands of Alpha Tauren.

I simply sank into the leather seat like it could hide me away from him but it was hopeless. I was hopeless.

My senses were heightened all through the ride. I was tired and weak but I couldn’t dare close my eyes. If I was going to die, I’d rather not do it in my sleep.

We finally got to an unfamiliar location and he stopped the car. Right in the middle of nowhere. We were only surrounded by tall trees and thick ferns. There was a thick fog in front of us, so thick that I couldn’t see the forest ahead of us.

It was the perfect place to dump a body.
