02) A Bond?

last update 최신 업데이트: 2022-10-22 19:35:30

What is she talking about? What reason? What bond?

And my wolf? Do I even have a wolf?

Is she talking about the mate bo-

NO!! It can't be. That's impossible!!!

I shook my head wildly, trying to pull my thoughts out of that wild fantasy.

"What's going on here? And why are you attacking your own beta?" The man who just came in asked curiously, while trying to digest the current situation in the kitchen.

For a moment, the alpha looked so lost that even his eyes glazed over, but the next second he regained his composure and let go of his beta hastily.

"Nothing. My wolf got out of control for a moment. That's all. Ezra, let's go." The alpha said in a cold tone and marched out of the kitchen without waiting there any longer.

And the beta mouthed a quick apology to me before running out to catch his alpha's tail.

"Are you okay, little girl?" The other man asked very gently, approaching me.

"I- My- I don't- I- Y-yes s-sir..." Unable to utter a full sentence with proper explanations, I stuttered timidly.

"No need to fear now, my dear. My cousin, Chaos... he... is one of a kind. But he would never hurt a woman. So, there is no need for you to be so fearful. Okay...?" He coaxed, sitting in front of me like it was the most normal thing in the world to do.

"The blood stains on your dress... I believe it's not Chaos's doing, right?" Because I didn't say anything, he asked again, trying to make me speak.

Instead of speaking I just nodded my head but didn't dare to meet his eyes.

I don't trust this man, yet.

With his domineering aura, I could tell that he is most probably an alpha or a beta and if I make any mistake, he wouldn't hesitate to punish me. Or worse, kill me.

All alphas and high rankers are the same. There are no exceptions.

"Then... this should be your pack members' doing...?" He guessed.

"No no! Please... don't be afraid. I won't ask anything further. Okay?" Seeing my panic spiked on, he reassured me in a hurry and hugged me unexpectedly, like I'm a porcelain doll.

At first, it really freaked me out, but the warm hug felt so comfortable that I couldn't bear to let go of it at that moment. So I stayed still, engulfing the momentarily joy wholeheartedly and poured out the pent up pain of years and years of torture as big, unstoppable tears.

At that moment, I didn't care that he was a stranger, let alone a high ranker. I didn't care that he held the power to decide my fate or what would happen if anyone from my pack sees us being this close to each other either. At that moment, all I cared about was the fact that this stranger's hug and the care he bestowed upon me was so gentle and comforting.

It was the first time since my mother's death that someone cared enough to worry about my feelings or even give me a hug. So I didn't care even if this man killed me right after this little moment.

"You feel better now?" After a long while when my eyes ran out of tears, he released me and asked in a soft tone while looking into my eyes.

"Y-yes. T-thank- thank you..." I muttered through hiccups.

"Good. It seems like you've been holding back your feelings for so long. You've cried like a little baby who had injured herself very badly." He commented, wiping my tears away.

But as soon as his words settled in my mind, a huge wave of panic hit me very hard and I suddenly felt myself struggling for breath.

"What's wrong?" He asked worriedly.

"Th-they- I- I should not- I should've- the lunch... work... I-"

"It's okay. I've already informed my beta to tell your alpha that I'm snatching you out from your works. Also, I told my warriors to wait outside the kitchen so no one would enter here to disturb you." He explained, surprising me to a point where I could no longer be sure if it was real or just a dream.

"Y-you really d-did that...? F-for m-me? Y-you... you d-don't k-know me... w-why?"

"I just felt that you would need a free day today. You look exhausted... If it wasn't for the fact that you seem to have a very strong will, you would have already collapsed by now." As he said in a somewhat playful tone, my lips curled upwards into a small smile.

"You look prettier when you smile. You should do it more..." He murmured, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.

"You... you are an alpha... You shouldn't be here... comforting a slave like me, a-alpha..."

"I'm very happy to do so. By the way, we should properly get to know each other. I'm Aziel Midnight. Alpha of the Midnight Moon pack. However, you can call me Aziel. But I'd like it if you call me Az." He said so casually like he didn't give a shit about hierarchy by allowing an omega_a mere slave to be precisely to call him, an alpha by a pet name!!

"I- I don't think that's a-appropriate, alpha... I'm just a-"

"What nonsense! You look just like my sister... Small and timid. It's not inappropriate for my sister to call me by my pet name!!"

I drew in a sharp breath at his very unexpected and possessive declaration as my mind experienced a huge shock wave.

"What? It's not something so shocking... Also, my wolf felt an attraction towards you the moment I laid my eyes upon you... I can't deny that either. You can take your time... but please try to accept it... Okay... um...?" He trailed off giving me another chance to introduce myself and I gladly accepted it.

"Eva... I'm Eva. I was found by my adoptive mother and she doesn't know who my father is. So, I don't know my surname either." I said less timidly this time, wondering where this would lead my life to.

"You can have mine, sister..." He offered very excitedly, but before I could comment on that, I felt my consciousness slipping into the darkness due to the pain, exhaustion and continuous shock weaves.

  • The Alpha's Celestial   Acknowledgements

Hello there my beloved readers, This marks the end of this long journey. My first thanks goes to the person who invited me to work with this platform and then to all my editors for their immeasurable help and guidance they provided throughout this process. And then I thank all of my beloved readers for the support and appreciation you have shown towards my work. I don't know if this work is good or bad or mild since it was basically one of my first ever web novels and I was a bit immature when I first started writing this almost two years ago. Since then, I have learnt and grown more. However, I still hope that this story entertained you with my chaotic imagination. Writing this story has been more than just weaving words together; it's been a shared experience of laughter, tears, and heartfelt moments. Every view, each vote, and every new follower has been a source of encouragement, driving me to push my boundaries to give my best to you, delving deeper into the world of celesti

  • The Alpha's Celestial   Epilogue: The Alpha's Celestial

Eva's POV . ~• Five years later •~ ...Nine Ten Eleven Thirteen... Or is it twelve? Or maybe fourteen? Or did I breath at all? I can't remember anymore… Everything is a blur, and all I can feel is the stinging pain of my nails digging into my palm. Six hours! Six freaking hours of never ending demands to do this and that, all at once!! That's the consequences of being unable to resist the puppy eyes of my sisters-in-law when I could have just eloped with my mate without anyone noticing anything at all. It would have spared me from this suffering. It's nerve-wracking and too tiresome, but that's what happens when you have two sisters-in-law dead set on making a perfect bride out of you. And I don't even want to start with my two mothers—yes, mothers. My biological mother and adoptive mother, whom my biological father, the moon god, and I successfully brought back to life alongside my adoptive father and my best friend Ezra five years ago. That healing wave that exploded

Eva's POV."How are you feeling?" I asked, gently caressing his cheek. He still looked so pale, and I still couldn't sense Eros's presence in his mind, but at least he was conscious now. "Mm... heavy, like I am submerged in water." He replied groggily, a husky undertone in it which sent a pleasant shiver down my spine. I couldn't help it when my hum came out more like a moan than a proper hum. He chuckled amusedly."You've been way more active ever since I marked you, my love... Your reactions to my actions are... well... They are pleasantly surprising, to say the least. You sure it wasn't all on Razna?""Shut up!" I shot back at his teasing, obviously flustered but not wanting to admit it. His earthy laughter only made me more flustered and blush more deeply."I love this side of you." He confessed warmly. I involuntarily leaned into his touch as he reached out to tuck a stray strand of hair behind my ear, his fingers lingering to caress my cheek and jawline. Our past hadn't been

  • The Alpha's Celestial   58) The aftermath

Aziel's POV . The moment the last celestial fell, Eva was gone. One second, she was still there, hovering above the withered and shrunken bodies of the dozen or so council members; the next second she was gone. When my mind registered that it was finally over, an immense wave of exhaustion washed over me and I collapsed onto the ground. Soon, I was forced to shift back, unable to maintain my wolf form a second longer. I felt my wolf retract far back into my mind, utterly spent from the intense battle. My mate whined worriedly, gently licking my face as he lay down, wrapping himself around my slumped body. 'You okay, baby?' His voice echoed in my mind, sounding drained but not as much as me, since he managed to stay in his wolf form. '...ngh... exhausted.' I thought back, too tired to even speak. The scene around us was brutal and bloody, but I had no strength left to care as I let Anubis cradle me against his warm, furry body. I didn't even care that both of us were covered in b

  • The Alpha's Celestial   57) The night is here

3rd Person's POV(Warning: Scenes of war, blood, and gore included. Proceed with caution.) . Barging into the heart of a celestial clan was never an easy feat to achieve. It was proven true when even after so many hours, they still struggled to breach into Ayn Shams. Even sending the three alphas inside took almost all the effort of Selene and Hecate put together. To fight against an army of elite celestial warriors and minor deities just with a few packs of werewolves and the band of Greek hunters, it was supposed to be an endgame. It was basically a battle between canines and manmade weapons with the deities themselves interfering here and there, trying to make their respective parties win. It was literally a bloodbath that cost many their lives. If those who think that the worst massacre happened in World War II had a chance to witness this particular battle, they will definitely lose their sanity out of pure horror!! There were at least a thousand of giant wolves going ramp

  • The Alpha's Celestial   56) Likeness remains

3rd Person's POV . "Impossible!" Mafdet snarled, her eyes blazing with fury as she glared at the girl she had taken such pleasure in torturing for weeks. The council stood frozen, unable to interfere as the weakened and battered moon child rapidly regained her lost glory and suppressed power in mere seconds, thanks to her mate's marking. They could do nothing but watch the scene unfolding before their eyes as something indescribable kept them all from interfering. It was as if the universe itself stood on the side of the soulmates, giving them a chance to reinstate their lost bond that connected them together. "What is going on?" A goddess demanded, her voice tinged with panic as their powers failed to reach the supposed 'prisoners'. "Get them down! NOW!!" Amun-Ra barked in frustration as their attempts to attack the four went in vain. The marking was a miracle, unparalleled in its nature, much less in front of the Egyptians who never believed in the red thread of fate or sou
