View MoreKENDRA’S POV
It was after dinner, and I was heading upstairs to bed when I heard my father’s voice roar throughout the entire house loudly.
I walked towards his office and stood outside the door, thinking it wasn’t the first time I had heard him speaking this way to my brother Kaleb.
Kaleb was my younger twin and the heir of my father’s multi-billionaire drug business, but unlike me he didn’t care about money or reputation.
He loved partying and enjoying life to the fullest, which often got him into trouble, just like today.
“If I ever find you in a club again, watch what happens” I heard my father Jonathan shout as loud as he could, making my heart shudder.
“You can’t stop me from having fun, I don’t care about you or your stupid business” Kaleb said moments later, without any care in the world.
I heard some footsteps and before my father did something he would come to regret, I quickly barged into the office and looked at the gun he was holding in his hand.
“No papa you can’t do this” I said before I quickly stood in front of Kaleb, thinking I couldn’t lose him, he was all I had.
I love him dearly and there was nothing I wouldn’t do for him to keep him safe.
“Move out the way or I’ll shoot you to” father said emotionlessly.
Even though he was our biological father, I sometimes wondered if he actually was because of the way he treated us compared to his other kids.
“Then shoot me” I said, earning myself a look from Kaleb as he knew father might even do it.
He tried to pull me back, but I didn’t move, I wanted to protect him with all my heart.
“This tongue of yours will get you killed one day” Father warned me before he lowered his gun and glared at me and Kaleb both.
I walked over to him and looked up into his cold eyes that looked like they had seen more pain than love over the years.
“Until then I will do what I can to protect the ones I love” I said before I told Kaleb to leave as I wanted to talk to him alone.
I waited for the door to close after him before I looked up at father,
“You know he isn’t mentally well, yet you still treat him this way” I said before I ruffled my hair, thinking there was no such a thing as peace in this house.
Father sat back down on his chair and looked at me with a frown on his face,
“I don’t believe in any of that crap, he is fine, if he can party, he can run a business” he said coldly.
It wasn’t the first time I had heard him say that and knew it would most definitely not the last either as he always liked to drop it in every conversation.
“Well maybe you should, because a person could look fine from the outside, but be hurting from the inside” I replied quickly, my large brown eyes not leaving his.
I knew father hated it when I sided Kaleb, I could see it in his cold blue eyes.
“If you’re done defending him you may leave” he said before he pulled out a cigarette and lit it quickly.
Instead of leaving I walked over to him and looked down at him,
“Goodnight papa” I said before I wrapped both of my arms around him and hugged him tightly, hoping he didn’t push me away like he always did.
Just when I thought he wouldn’t, he did, and it hurt. I always tried my best to be there for him and Kaleb, but sometimes it felt like it just wasn’t enough.
I longed for the day he hugged me back and held me in his arms tightly, just like how he used to do when I was a little girl.
It was just a few minutes later when I made my way back upstairs. I walked towards Kaleb’s room and prayed he was inside, even though I had a feeling he had probably sneaked out once again.
I turned the knob and felt my stomach sink the moment I realised he wasn’t there.
“This guy will be the end of me” I thought to myself before I quickly hurried to my room and changed out of my clothes, thinking I’ll bring him home before father realises, he was even gone.
I walked to my closet and quickly picked out a nice short dress before I put it on and ruffled my glossy brown hair that reached my waist.
I touched up on my lipstick and looked at myself in the mirror, thinking tonight was not the night I wanted to go out as it was raining heavily, and I hated the cold weather of London.
Half an hour later and I had finally arrived at the club where Kaleb liked to hang out at often.
I was wearing a nice fuchsia pink coloured sequined dress that had thin straps and nicely clung to my body.
It was the perfect dress to fit in with the crowds and I just hoped no one tried making a move on me, because I was in no mood to entertain anyone.
I had no time for men or relationships and just preferred to fuck and leave, but not tonight, tonight I needed to get my brother home before father even realised, he was gone.
I stepped out of my expensive looking car and handed my key to the tall valet guy, not missing his wandering eyes as he checked me out shamelessly.
“I’ll call you when I’m ready to leave” I told him before I walked up to the fancy looking club, and showed my id to the two burly security guards that were standing at the entrance.
They allowed me in pretty quickly and I couldn’t be more glad as the rain was coming down fast and had almost soaked me through.
“Hey pretty lady, let’s dance” a young guy who looked in his early twenties said as loud upbeat music played in the background.
I didn’t spare him a second glance and kept walking towards the front, thinking Kaleb had to be here somewhere.
The crowds seemed much bigger than normal, and I wondered if someone famous was in town, as usually the club wasn’t that busy, on a weekday.
I found Kaleb sitting around a leather booth with a few of his friends who were all drinking, talking and simply enjoying each other’s company.
“And look who we have here” one of them said, bringing everyone’s attention to me, but Kaleb’s as he was too busy bopping his head to the music.
I looked past them and straight at Kaleb, thinking he wasn’t doing anything wrong, but father was right, he needed to get himself together, for his future.
“Kaleb, I need to talk you” I said as I stepped over a few of his friends and sat down next to him, hoping he didn’t get annoyed.
It took Kaleb a moment to realise that I was there,
“What are you doing here?” he asked with a small smile that told me he wasn’t annoyed to see me.
I took the glass of drink from his hand and quickly gulped it down, making a few of his friends whistle as it was clear they weren’t expecting me to do that.
“I came to save your ass, now let’s go before papa finds out we’re not home” I said as I felt the alcohol run down the inside of my throat.
Kaleb ordered some more drinks and looked at me with a small smile,
“I’m not going anywhere, not until my man Elias hit’s the stage” he said.
I moved all of my long hair over one shoulder and looked at him, wondering who the hell was Elias and why he wanted to see him so much.
“Elias?” I asked with one of my perfectly arched brows raised ever so slightly.
Kaleb passed him a glass of coke and looked at me amused,
“Yes, aka the best singer in town, he’s performing tonight” he said with the excitement clear in his voice.
I wondered what was so amazing about this Elias guy that my brother was willing to risk losing his life for, even though I had also taken an instant liking to his name as it sounded nice and catchy.
Only when the crowds got louder, I followed their voices and looked towards the stage and up at the man who everyone seemed to be waiting for so eagerly.
Hello there my beloved readers, This marks the end of this long journey. My first thanks goes to the person who invited me to work with this platform and then to all my editors for their immeasurable help and guidance they provided throughout this process. And then I thank all of my beloved readers for the support and appreciation you have shown towards my work. I don't know if this work is good or bad or mild since it was basically one of my first ever web novels and I was a bit immature when I first started writing this almost two years ago. Since then, I have learnt and grown more. However, I still hope that this story entertained you with my chaotic imagination. Writing this story has been more than just weaving words together; it's been a shared experience of laughter, tears, and heartfelt moments. Every view, each vote, and every new follower has been a source of encouragement, driving me to push my boundaries to give my best to you, delving deeper into the world of celesti
Eva's POV . ~• Five years later •~ ...Nine Ten Eleven Thirteen... Or is it twelve? Or maybe fourteen? Or did I breath at all? I can't remember anymore… Everything is a blur, and all I can feel is the stinging pain of my nails digging into my palm. Six hours! Six freaking hours of never ending demands to do this and that, all at once!! That's the consequences of being unable to resist the puppy eyes of my sisters-in-law when I could have just eloped with my mate without anyone noticing anything at all. It would have spared me from this suffering. It's nerve-wracking and too tiresome, but that's what happens when you have two sisters-in-law dead set on making a perfect bride out of you. And I don't even want to start with my two mothers—yes, mothers. My biological mother and adoptive mother, whom my biological father, the moon god, and I successfully brought back to life alongside my adoptive father and my best friend Ezra five years ago. That healing wave that exploded
Eva's POV."How are you feeling?" I asked, gently caressing his cheek. He still looked so pale, and I still couldn't sense Eros's presence in his mind, but at least he was conscious now. "Mm... heavy, like I am submerged in water." He replied groggily, a husky undertone in it which sent a pleasant shiver down my spine. I couldn't help it when my hum came out more like a moan than a proper hum. He chuckled amusedly."You've been way more active ever since I marked you, my love... Your reactions to my actions are... well... They are pleasantly surprising, to say the least. You sure it wasn't all on Razna?""Shut up!" I shot back at his teasing, obviously flustered but not wanting to admit it. His earthy laughter only made me more flustered and blush more deeply."I love this side of you." He confessed warmly. I involuntarily leaned into his touch as he reached out to tuck a stray strand of hair behind my ear, his fingers lingering to caress my cheek and jawline. Our past hadn't been
Aziel's POV . The moment the last celestial fell, Eva was gone. One second, she was still there, hovering above the withered and shrunken bodies of the dozen or so council members; the next second she was gone. When my mind registered that it was finally over, an immense wave of exhaustion washed over me and I collapsed onto the ground. Soon, I was forced to shift back, unable to maintain my wolf form a second longer. I felt my wolf retract far back into my mind, utterly spent from the intense battle. My mate whined worriedly, gently licking my face as he lay down, wrapping himself around my slumped body. 'You okay, baby?' His voice echoed in my mind, sounding drained but not as much as me, since he managed to stay in his wolf form. '...ngh... exhausted.' I thought back, too tired to even speak. The scene around us was brutal and bloody, but I had no strength left to care as I let Anubis cradle me against his warm, furry body. I didn't even care that both of us were covered in b
3rd Person's POV(Warning: Scenes of war, blood, and gore included. Proceed with caution.) . Barging into the heart of a celestial clan was never an easy feat to achieve. It was proven true when even after so many hours, they still struggled to breach into Ayn Shams. Even sending the three alphas inside took almost all the effort of Selene and Hecate put together. To fight against an army of elite celestial warriors and minor deities just with a few packs of werewolves and the band of Greek hunters, it was supposed to be an endgame. It was basically a battle between canines and manmade weapons with the deities themselves interfering here and there, trying to make their respective parties win. It was literally a bloodbath that cost many their lives. If those who think that the worst massacre happened in World War II had a chance to witness this particular battle, they will definitely lose their sanity out of pure horror!! There were at least a thousand of giant wolves going ramp
3rd Person's POV . "Impossible!" Mafdet snarled, her eyes blazing with fury as she glared at the girl she had taken such pleasure in torturing for weeks. The council stood frozen, unable to interfere as the weakened and battered moon child rapidly regained her lost glory and suppressed power in mere seconds, thanks to her mate's marking. They could do nothing but watch the scene unfolding before their eyes as something indescribable kept them all from interfering. It was as if the universe itself stood on the side of the soulmates, giving them a chance to reinstate their lost bond that connected them together. "What is going on?" A goddess demanded, her voice tinged with panic as their powers failed to reach the supposed 'prisoners'. "Get them down! NOW!!" Amun-Ra barked in frustration as their attempts to attack the four went in vain. The marking was a miracle, unparalleled in its nature, much less in front of the Egyptians who never believed in the red thread of fate or sou
