Chapter 18 - Mark a territory

"Tabitha! How could you? You already forgot the king's order?" Kevin snapped.

Selene widen her eyes and Tabitha was cool like a monk in a monastery. Selene widened her eyes at her father because she had never heard him talk like that with her mother. That looked really bad in her eyes. Her father was not a man to be conducted by feelings. He was temperate in any situation and that was something she had always admired about him, but now she really scared her. Her mother turned to him calmly like she would explain something to a little child and said,

" It is our daughter. She has the right to know."

Selene was feeling like all the other worries went through the window and another fear, much greater started to overwhelm her. She tried to swallow the big ball of air that was resisting in her throat, before asking,

" What do I have the right to know? Mom, dad?" she was looking from one to another, confused and worried.

Her mother turned to her father with angriness in her voice,
