Chapter 20 - Bad news

With a glass of whiskey in his hand and staying in the darkness of his room, Raphael felt like he was seeing his life escaping through his fingers and the feeling from this realization was something that was eating his heart. He needed just some time to slow down all the events but it was impossible. He was aware that the people needed him and that he needed to be a model for them, but his heart was hurting so much that he could not think straight. The dice were thrown and he was in the middle of the events. Even if it hurt him, he swore he would do his best to be the model people expected from him. And he did, but he will fail her, and that was hurting him more than anything. Only thinking about her claws was clenching his heart. He was drinking slowly his drink while keeping his eyes closed deep inside his thoughts when he heard a knock at the door. At first, he decided to ignore the knock but it became repetitive and annoying. He felt that the drink soothed his nerves for a bit, but
