KYLIE:
A tear slid down my eyes as the thought of everything I would lose ravaged my mind. My husband, my pack, my home, my honor, title, reputation, everything. I wasn't ready to become a laughing stock to other Luna's out there.
The sound of the door knob brought me back to reality and in an instant, I rub the tears clinging on my lashes and those that had stained my face,
“Dr Anna.”
I try as much as possible not to sound worried or anxious, but she was able to see right through me. She moved closer to me and handed me a report,
“You should see it for yourself, Luna.”
My heart continued pounding and my hands trembled as I outstretched my hand to take the report,
“I'm sorry Luna, but…”
I clutched harder onto the paper and raised my gaze at her once again,
“Check it yourself.”
The moment I opened the paper, I heard a low chuckle from her before she whispered,
“You're 6 weeks pregnant Luna Kylie, congratulations.”
__________
“Luna, we're here.” Luke's voice drew me out of the past, and my gaze immediately averted to the paper I was holding.
“When will my husband be back?” I questioned Luke.
Luke was Liam's Gamma, but he had also been appointed by Liam to watch and protect me since I became his Luna. If there was one person I confided in since the day I became Luna in the Silver crest pack, it was him.
He understood me better than anyone did, and he owed his loyalty to me too.
“The Alpha has an urgent meeting right now.” He brought his gaze down the watch on his wrist,
“2 hours or less.” And finally announced.
“That's enough time to prepare something really delicious for him tonight. I want to make this night the best night in 3 years Luke, and you're going to help me out.”
I stepped out of the car, and began to head into the house. The silver Crest pack wasn't where I grew up, but it was my home
3 years ago, Liam's father and my father wanted to merge our pack together because of an upcoming war and as a result of that, our marriage was created.
For me, it was the best decision ever. Marrying the man I always had a deep crush on since my childhood. Marrying my best friend's elder brother. But that wasn't the same case for Liam. Our marriage was a true definition of one sided love.
Because of me, his ex-girlfriend and past lover was banished from the silver Crest pack by his father 3 years ago after she had tried to sleep with Liam during the early stages of our marriage.
Even though I tried to talk Liam's father out of it for the sake of Liam, the old man was hell bent on punishing his son disobey him. For three years, I always had to live with the blame of her absence in his life.
After the merging of the pack, we were able to win the war, but at a very great loss. My father. I lost my father during the war which was the worst day of my life, and not once did Liam step into my room while I was mourning him. One year afterwards, Liam lost his father to a strange illness, leaving him no choice than to accept me as his Luna since that was what benefited the pack most.
And now, I was carrying the one thing that could change everything. The one thing that could bring life back to my marriage, and make our pack even stronger, prosperous. This baby would unite the pack forever.
I let out a smile as I dropped my handbag on the center table, and began to head towards the kitchen while Luke trailed behind me.
A step further, and I felt something. A sharp headache. Rubbing my forehead gently with my fingers, I signaled to Luke to get me my bag,
“Hurry pls.”
It was that pain again. That pain I had continuously felt for 2 years after Liam's father died. I had no idea what it was all about or why the pain was something that came and went on it own,
“Are you alright, Luna?” Luke asked as I hurriedly tucked my hand into my bag to get my aspirin.
“Oh goodness.” I let out a cry, falling to the ground and holding my head when the pain became unbearable. Luke rushed towards me, but I called faintly,
“D…drugs, hurry.”
He rushed towards my bag, and brought out the small white container. “Here.” He tilted my head up, and slowly placed it into my mouth,
“W…water.” I called again, and I watched him hurry towards the kitchen to get me water.
A few minutes later, I swallowed a deep breath in, thankful that the pain had reduced a little.
“You need to rest, Luna. The Alpha would have my head on a plate if anything happens to you. Remember that you're still the Alpha of the Blue mountain pack, and you're the only one your people have.” Luke reminded me, but deep down, I wished the first part were real.
He had almost made it seem like my husband was in love with me and that he would be heartbroken if anything happened to me, but that wasn't the case. My marriage wasn't a fairytale like the ones I always dreamt about while growing up.
If anything happened to me, Liam would only be worried about the pack. Though our pack was merged together, I had the one thing that still made my people recognize me as their Alpha, and I was certain that was what he wanted from me. At least it was what was keeping my marriage and I wasn't going to give it to him.
My father had made certain that it was in my possession before he died.
Luke helped me up on my feet, and the next thing I knew, I was in his arms since I couldn't walk. He carried me upstairs and gently placed me on the bed,
“I'll go get the pack doctor as soon as possible.”
I gently nodded my head and shut my eyes even before he walked out of the room.
I was worried about the baby. If this pain becomes persistent, I fear I might be unable to keep the baby safe. This baby was my life and I couldn't lose it. I couldn't lose the one thing that would make my husband become the strongest Alpha in North America alongside our packs.
A slight knock on the door brought me back from wonderland where I was having dreams about the baby, and when the door opened, Liam stepped into the room.
“Hey.” He greeted me as he tucked his hand into his pocket and began to walk towards me. As usual, my husband was looking exceptionally handsome. Everything about Liam always made me and my wolf go crazy and if there was one thing I couldn't resist, it was his red small lips. It's been long I had a taste of them.
He stood a few inches away from me?
“What happened?” The question came out rather cold, but nevertheless, I was used to it,
“Nothing, I just got a little dizzy, but I'm fine.”
“No, you're not, Kylie. This keeps on happening and it's been going on for two years now. I think it's high time you hand the seal over to me so the two packs can be fully merged together as one with one Alpha.”
I scoffed out loud, but decided not to feel bad about what Liam had just said now,
“I have something to tell you, Liam.”
To me, all of this harsh treatment would end once I tell him about the baby, but I was wrong.
Before I could continue, he grabbed my neck, and pinned me down on the bed. I tried to struggle free from his grip, but they were too tight.
“L..Liam, what are you…doing?” I managed to say, but his eyes turned red from rage,
“You're going to hand it over to me, Kylie, and this time around, I'm not asking nicely. Aurora's back to the pack, I'm taking a new Luna.”
EPILOGUE. SEVEN MONTHS LATER. KYLIE Ok I know it's a huge time jump but let me catch you up. After I killed Liam, the people of his pack could finally breathe a sigh of relief. We returned to Blood Moon Pack to find that Damon was victorious not that I ever doubted him. He did sustain some very bad injuries but nothing fatal and by the end of the week he was fully healed and the only reason it took that long was because he was injured with Obsidian. He told me Tyler's last words and I actually believe that he did regret his decisions in his end and now I do hope that he was at peace. Luke survived, he got a transfusion and he was back to his normal self in a few days. Since I killed Liam, I was now the Alpha of Silver Crest Pack but it didn't belong to me, that wasn't my home, it was Lukes, so I made him Alpha and everyone was happy with that decision. We got our pack back and the first order of business was laying Damons dad to rest. We did have the bi
KYLIE. “You nervous?” Chef asks me. “No, why'd you ask?” “Cuz your legs haven't stopped vibrating since we left.” He tells me and then I look down and I see that he's right so I immediately stop. “Everything is going to be fine, Liam wouldn't dare to do anything with all of us there.” He tells me. “I know that, I do, I am worried about Liam, because he's crazed and a crazed werewolf isn't a good thing. But most of all I’m worried about Luke, what if we're too late?” I ask him. “We aren't, you can't afford to think like that Ok.” He tells me and I nod my head. “How about you tell me about him.” He tells me. “About Luke?” I ask him. “Yes you need happy memories to drown out the bad thoughts in your head.” He tells me. “Ok, well he was my first friend, he wad meant to be Liams eyes and ears, reporting whatever I did everyday back to Liam but he quickly became my friend. He was there for me when Liam started cheating b
ALPHA DAMON. It's six o'clock and it's time to move out, Daniel has sent the word to out other men and they are moving out now too. We aren't taking any cars, the reason why we chose this houses are because they are strategically placed close to Blood Moon Pack and so just a little stroll through the woods, I say stroll but it's about an hour, but we need to do it this way, right now we have the element of suprise on out side and we need to keep that. “Is Edna in place?” I ask Daniel. “Yeah she is and she's ready.” I come out of the house to address the men that are gathered here and Daniel is also streaming it to the other men on the other side. “I want to thank you all for being here today, when I first asked your Alpha's for help, I told them that this had to be willingly done on your parts because this isn't your fight it is mine. But I am so grateful that so many of you answered the call. A week ago I had to give up my pack for the safety of m
ALPHA DAMON. “She's going to be just fine man, Chefs got her.” Daniel says as she comes to stand by my side. “Yeah I know, doesn't make it easy though.” I tell him and he nods his head in understanding. “Are we packed?” I ask him. “Just about, I need to get the last bags in the trunk and we are good to go.” He tells me. “Good, we are going to meet up with Alpha Langley, us and his men will attack using the back entrance that my brother still hasn't found and then our men will open the front gates for Kylie's men and also Alpha Greg and his men.” I explain to him as we walk back inside the house. “Ok and what about the bombs?” He asks me. “My guy will meet us at the house.” I tell him and he nods his head. “I feel like you've almost died twice since this while thing started.” Stephanie tells me as I walk into the living room. “Don't you know cats have nine lives?” I ask her hoping to get a smile from her but she just glares at me
ALPHA DAMON. Sleep was far away from me that night, but thankfully Kylie was asleep and I held her close to me as I thought of what I has to do, memories of Tyler when he was still the brother that I loved plagued me. I remembered the day he was born, I mean Stephanie was just a year plus and I lived her but I was so excited about having a baby brother, it was the light at the end of the tunnel for me. He brought me out of the grief that I wa drowning in, he was such a cute baby but he cried about everything but that never bothered me because I was the only one who cloud calm him down and that made me feel special. It continued to be like that as he grew older, I understood his silent cues, I knew what was on his mind before he even said it and now to think that tomorrow night I'm going to have to kill him. Because that's the only choice here, I can't let him kill me and how as a Lycan, there's no way that I can let him live. “I can feel you thinking in my
ALPHA DAMON. I really I'm a sucker for this woman because how else would you explain me agreeing to this stupid plan. “You really mean that?” She asks, looking surprised. “Yes I do, but there are conditions.” I tell her and she nods her head. “Of course, whatever you want.” She tells me. “I'm going with you.” I tell her and she proceeds to look at me like I'm crazy. “No that's not going to happen, the plan is in place and you need to attack tomorrow night, you are not going to throw it all away because of me. Stephanie and I already came up with a plan.” She tells me and she looks so cute when she's trying to be serious. “You and Stephanie came up with a plan?” I ask her. “Yes and a very good one.” She tells me. “Alright then, tell me the plan, I'm listening.” I tell her. “Ok so, Stephanie stays here with Morana while you pick five of your best men and I pick five of my best men to come with me to Silver Crest Pack, it'
