KYLIE:
A tear slid down my eyes as the thought of everything I would lose ravaged my mind. My husband, my pack, my home, my honor, title, reputation, everything. I wasn't ready to become a laughing stock to other Luna's out there.
The sound of the door knob brought me back to reality and in an instant, I rub the tears clinging on my lashes and those that had stained my face,
“Dr Anna.”
I try as much as possible not to sound worried or anxious, but she was able to see right through me. She moved closer to me and handed me a report,
“You should see it for yourself, Luna.”
My heart continued pounding and my hands trembled as I outstretched my hand to take the report,
“I'm sorry Luna, but…”
I clutched harder onto the paper and raised my gaze at her once again,
“Check it yourself.”
The moment I opened the paper, I heard a low chuckle from her before she whispered,
“You're 6 weeks pregnant Luna Kylie, congratulations.”
__________
“Luna, we're here.” Luke's voice drew me out of the past, and my gaze immediately averted to the paper I was holding.
“When will my husband be back?” I questioned Luke.
Luke was Liam's Gamma, but he had also been appointed by Liam to watch and protect me since I became his Luna. If there was one person I confided in since the day I became Luna in the Silver crest pack, it was him.
He understood me better than anyone did, and he owed his loyalty to me too.
“The Alpha has an urgent meeting right now.” He brought his gaze down the watch on his wrist,
“2 hours or less.” And finally announced.
“That's enough time to prepare something really delicious for him tonight. I want to make this night the best night in 3 years Luke, and you're going to help me out.”
I stepped out of the car, and began to head into the house. The silver Crest pack wasn't where I grew up, but it was my home
3 years ago, Liam's father and my father wanted to merge our pack together because of an upcoming war and as a result of that, our marriage was created.
For me, it was the best decision ever. Marrying the man I always had a deep crush on since my childhood. Marrying my best friend's elder brother. But that wasn't the same case for Liam. Our marriage was a true definition of one sided love.
Because of me, his ex-girlfriend and past lover was banished from the silver Crest pack by his father 3 years ago after she had tried to sleep with Liam during the early stages of our marriage.
Even though I tried to talk Liam's father out of it for the sake of Liam, the old man was hell bent on punishing his son disobey him. For three years, I always had to live with the blame of her absence in his life.
After the merging of the pack, we were able to win the war, but at a very great loss. My father. I lost my father during the war which was the worst day of my life, and not once did Liam step into my room while I was mourning him. One year afterwards, Liam lost his father to a strange illness, leaving him no choice than to accept me as his Luna since that was what benefited the pack most.
And now, I was carrying the one thing that could change everything. The one thing that could bring life back to my marriage, and make our pack even stronger, prosperous. This baby would unite the pack forever.
I let out a smile as I dropped my handbag on the center table, and began to head towards the kitchen while Luke trailed behind me.
A step further, and I felt something. A sharp headache. Rubbing my forehead gently with my fingers, I signaled to Luke to get me my bag,
“Hurry pls.”
It was that pain again. That pain I had continuously felt for 2 years after Liam's father died. I had no idea what it was all about or why the pain was something that came and went on it own,
“Are you alright, Luna?” Luke asked as I hurriedly tucked my hand into my bag to get my aspirin.
“Oh goodness.” I let out a cry, falling to the ground and holding my head when the pain became unbearable. Luke rushed towards me, but I called faintly,
“D…drugs, hurry.”
He rushed towards my bag, and brought out the small white container. “Here.” He tilted my head up, and slowly placed it into my mouth,
“W…water.” I called again, and I watched him hurry towards the kitchen to get me water.
A few minutes later, I swallowed a deep breath in, thankful that the pain had reduced a little.
“You need to rest, Luna. The Alpha would have my head on a plate if anything happens to you. Remember that you're still the Alpha of the Blue mountain pack, and you're the only one your people have.” Luke reminded me, but deep down, I wished the first part were real.
He had almost made it seem like my husband was in love with me and that he would be heartbroken if anything happened to me, but that wasn't the case. My marriage wasn't a fairytale like the ones I always dreamt about while growing up.
If anything happened to me, Liam would only be worried about the pack. Though our pack was merged together, I had the one thing that still made my people recognize me as their Alpha, and I was certain that was what he wanted from me. At least it was what was keeping my marriage and I wasn't going to give it to him.
My father had made certain that it was in my possession before he died.
Luke helped me up on my feet, and the next thing I knew, I was in his arms since I couldn't walk. He carried me upstairs and gently placed me on the bed,
“I'll go get the pack doctor as soon as possible.”
I gently nodded my head and shut my eyes even before he walked out of the room.
I was worried about the baby. If this pain becomes persistent, I fear I might be unable to keep the baby safe. This baby was my life and I couldn't lose it. I couldn't lose the one thing that would make my husband become the strongest Alpha in North America alongside our packs.
A slight knock on the door brought me back from wonderland where I was having dreams about the baby, and when the door opened, Liam stepped into the room.
“Hey.” He greeted me as he tucked his hand into his pocket and began to walk towards me. As usual, my husband was looking exceptionally handsome. Everything about Liam always made me and my wolf go crazy and if there was one thing I couldn't resist, it was his red small lips. It's been long I had a taste of them.
He stood a few inches away from me?
“What happened?” The question came out rather cold, but nevertheless, I was used to it,
“Nothing, I just got a little dizzy, but I'm fine.”
“No, you're not, Kylie. This keeps on happening and it's been going on for two years now. I think it's high time you hand the seal over to me so the two packs can be fully merged together as one with one Alpha.”
I scoffed out loud, but decided not to feel bad about what Liam had just said now,
“I have something to tell you, Liam.”
To me, all of this harsh treatment would end once I tell him about the baby, but I was wrong.
Before I could continue, he grabbed my neck, and pinned me down on the bed. I tried to struggle free from his grip, but they were too tight.
“L..Liam, what are you…doing?” I managed to say, but his eyes turned red from rage,
“You're going to hand it over to me, Kylie, and this time around, I'm not asking nicely. Aurora's back to the pack, I'm taking a new Luna.”
ALPHA DAMON. Last night was a lot for me emotionally, but I woke up this morning feeling lighter, and for the first time since we started sleeping in the same room, it looks like Kylie got up before me. I find a sticky note stuck on her pillow and she wrote: Went shopping with Stephanie, be back soon. Well then, it looks like I won't see the both of them till evening, I know women and shopping, I've learnt from Stephanie, they say they just want to get one thing but that's a lie, you'll just end up spending the whole day going from store to store. I get out of bed, take a shower and get ready for the day, I need to start by figuring out where the survivors of Moon Shadow Pack are, it's a good thing I had my PI keep an eye on Brady, I need to start fixing things fast, before the rogues get a new Alpha. I make my way downstairs only to run into Daniel who has a weary look on his face. “What's the problem? Why do you look like that?” I ask him. “I just g
KYLIE. After dinner, we saw Damon's dad off, I stayed by the door while Daniel and Stephanie walked him to his car. But as I turned around I couldn't find Damon, that's weird. I went to the kitchen but he wasn't there, so I followed the mate bond instead and it led me to a set of double doors, the same set of double doors that leads into a room that I was told never to go into again. I mean I remember that day almost like it was yesterday, it was the day I arrived here and I was looking for the kitchen, I had no idea where it was, I got lost and I walked into this room and when Damon found me in here, I don't think I've ever seen him that angry. He wanted the room to be locked back up, so what is he doing in here? Should I leave him alone? I mean he came here without telling me where he was going, so maybe he wants to be left alone. “I don't want to be alone, come in sweetheart.” He says to me through our mind link and it's still shocking, the fact that he's abl
KYLIE. After he was done filling me in on everything, we took a quick shower and we made our way downstairs to join the family for dinner and they were all staring at us with suspicious eyes including Damons father, he looked like he was doing his best to hold back a laugh. Damon took out my chair for me and I sat down and so did he. “Don't look at us like that, I told you guys to have dinner without us.” Damon told us. “Yeah you did, but we thought the cordial thing would be to wait for you guys.” Stephanie tells him. “Well, from the looks of the table, it looks like you didn't.” Damon tells her. “Yeah, because after ten minutes went by, it didn't take a genius to figure out that the both of you were going to be a while.” She tells him. Oh my God, they know. Were we that loud? Did they hear us? I can feel my face heating up just thinking about the fact that my father in law might have heard us having sex. “Let's just eat, Chef everything looks and
KYLIE. We collapsed on the ground and it took us a few minutes to catch our breaths, my leg was strewn over his. If you had asked me if I expected the night to go this way, I would've told you hell no, but I'm hoping this means that things went well with the council. “Not that I'm complaining or anything, I mean you can take me like that anytime you want to my love but does this mean that things went well with the council.” I ask as I look up at him from my spot laying on his chest. “They went well, I mean I looked at all the scenarios and how things were going to turn out and I made sure to put contingencies in place but if you told me earlier today that things would've turned out this way, I would've laughed in your face.” He says with a smile on his face. Now, I don't know the details yet but just that answer makes my chest feel a hundred times lighter. “So tell me, what happened?” I ask him as I lean up against his chest so I can look at him. “Well,
KYLIE. My back arches off the table, my toes curl and I’m gripping the edge of the table so tight my knuckles are about to split. “Ohh, fuck, fuck, don’t stop, please Damon don’t stop.” I plead with a whimper while I rock my hips, rubbing my clit against his mouth desperately chasing that much sought-after release. I’m so wet that I feel my arousal dripping down to the pearl of my ass. The built-up pressure explodes, and a lukewarm glow spreads through me, sparks of electricity in my veins causing my body to shake and convulse wildly. “Oh fuck, fuck, I’m coming. Ahh yes, yes, Damon!” He groans against my pussy and the vibrations of his vocal cords travel through me and it’s all I need to go soaring over the edge. My breath catches and I momentarily forget to breathe, every coherent thought, every instinct I have is quelled as surge after surge of heavenly pleasure crashes over me. I breathlessly chant Damon’s name while riding out the very last spas
ALPHA DAMON. I greet the last of our guests as Daniel escorts them out and then it's just me and my dad left in the room, the sacrifice that he made today was surprising but it reminded me of the man I used to love and that maybe he has always been here and I just allowed hate to cloud my eyes. “Thank you dad, for what you did in there, I doubt that I would've gotten them on my side without you.” I tell him. “It's no problem son, besides I'm old and it's high time that I retired, I mean with you and Kylie getting married, I'll soon have grandkids to spend all my time with.” He says with a huge smile on his face. “Hopefully soon, you're staying for dinner right?” I ask him. “If you'll have me.” He says. “Of course, I think everything is ready, let me just go get Kylie and we'll come join you guys. I told Chef that you guys can start eating.” I tell him and he nods his head and then I turn around and run up the stairs until I get to my room. I fin
