Freya sat in the car with her mother, heading back to Blackwood Town. They had left right after her father's death, but now, after the tragic loss of her roommate and the relentless nightmares that followed, her mother had decided to bring her back.

She would be staying with her grandfather to continue her studies at Blackwood University. Now, in her sophomore year, all she wanted was for the nightmares to end and to find her way back to some sense of normalcy.

As they pulled up to her grandfather's quaint apartment, Freya reached for the door handle, but her mother gently took her other hand.

"Listen, everything will be fine," Catherine assured her.

Freya pressed her lips together and nodded. "I know, Mum."

Catherine offered her a weak smile.

Just then, the front door opened, and Jeffery, her grandfather, stepped outside.

"Gramps...," Freya exclaimed, stepping out of the car. She rushed to him, wrapping her arms around him in a hug.

"My beautiful Fae," Jeffery said warmly.

"Hey, Popsy," Catherine greeted him as she stepped out of the car and walked toward him.

"Hey, Cathy."

Catherine turned to her daughter. "Freya, can you go inside? I need to talk to your Gramps."

"Sure," Freya replied, pulling her luggage from the car and heading into the apartment.

Once she was inside, Catherine turned back to Jeffery, her voice heavy with concern.

"She's losing control without even knowing who she really is. I had to bring her here. The city isn't the place for her... and Billy knows nothing about this world, neither do her siblings." Catherine explained her situation with her husband and Freya's half-siblings.

Jeffery placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Calm down, I understand. I'll help her in any way I can."

He reached out to a flower, his fingers barely moving. A faint glow danced around the petals as the bloom shook, then gently broke from the stem. It hung in the air for a moment before sliding smoothly toward him, as if carried by an unseen wind.

Catherine watched as the flower drifted easily into her hand. She ran her fingers over the soft petals, a small smile forming on her lips.

"You have nothing to fear," Jeffery assured her with a knowing smile. "Let's go inside."

Deep in Blackwood Forest, the ancient wolf pack had gathered for a meeting. They sat among the trees-some perched on branches, others on fallen trunks.

Dominic Blackwood, the Alpha of the pack, stood in a dominant posture. His sleek black hair framed his features, and his crimson-red eyes gleamed under the moonlight. He wore a fitted leather jacket.

Beside him stood an old man cloaked in dark robes-the elder of the pack. His voice was low and foreboding as he spoke.

"I had a dream," the elder stated.

A bone-chilling howl echoed through the trees as some of the wolves began to morph-human faces shifting into snarling werewolf forms, fangs bared in silent rage.

"I dreamed of a werewitch coming into town," the elder continued.

The wolves growled and howled in response.

"This is something to be feared. She is not only a threat to Dominic, our Alpha, but she could also bring destruction upon us all."

Cameron, the Beta-second in command and a warrior-rose to his feet.

"How do we find this werewitch and burn her before she destroys us and our community?" he demanded.

Another collective howl rippled through the pack.

Dominic stepped forward, his powerful presence silencing them.

"I am your leader, and I am responsible for all of you," he declared. "I promise you-we will capture this werewitch before she has the chance to destroy us. We will burn her at the stake."

A murmur of agreement passed through the pack as the scout members nodded, knowing the weight of their duty.

Then, in a single fluid motion, Dominic morphed into a fearsome werewolf. He threw his head back and released a chilling howl, his red eyes glowing under the full moon. The pack followed his lead, shifting into their werewolf forms and howling in unison.

A graceful she-wolf padded forward, her sleek fur catching the moonlight. She pressed her muzzle against Dominic's in a silent vow. Together, they turned their gaze to the sky and howled once more, their voices joined by the entire pack, echoing through the dark forest.

Jasmine pressed the patch gently over Cameron's wound on his chest after rubbing in the healing ointment. Her fingers lingered for a second before she looked up at him. “By tomorrow, the mark will be gone,” she said, her eyes trailing from the patch to his bare chest, then to the rumpled shirt lying on the bed.“Thank you, Jaz,” Cameron murmured gratefully."You're welcome," she replied with a soft smile, holding his gaze for a moment before nodding toward his tousled hair and the faint shadow along his jaw. Tilting her head thoughtfully, she added, "How about I give you a trim? Tidy up that hair and beard a bit."“My hair and beard?” She nodded confidently. “I take care of my dad’s all the time. I’m good at it.”“Sure, why not,” he said with a shrug, his eyes sliding toward the last slice of pizza. “You can have it.”“Cameron offering me the last slice? That’s—” she began, just as he snatched it and took a big bite. Jasmine's mouth dropped open in surprise.“I said you could have it

Dominic and Elena relaxed in the warm, bubbling hot tub, facing each other. Candlelight danced on the water, casting a soft glow on their skin. It was a peaceful moment after everything they had been through.Elena let out a long sigh, eyes closed, her fingers trailing lazily through the foam. “I really needed this,” she murmured.“Yeah… me too,” Dominic replied. “It’s been one thing after another. And Sasha—she really got the better of me.”Elena opened her eyes and looked at him. “I still can’t believe Regina was Sasha all along. Ever since she showed up at Cameron’s door, something felt off. I’m just glad he never let himself fall for her.” She paused, thoughtful. “We should call him later. I imagine this whole thing hit him harder than he lets on.”Dominic gave a small nod. “I was planning to… but there’s something else. Something Sasha said to me while she was here. I traced it, and it checks out.”Elena stilled, her fingers pausing mid-motion as she swept foam from her shoulder.

Elena and Dominic entered their room, the door closing softly behind them. Elena let out a long sigh and sat on the edge of the bed, exhaustion tugging at her limbs. Dominic joined her quietly, his shoulder brushing against hers.“I still can’t believe everything that happened,” she murmured.Dominic looked down for a moment, then said softly, “I’m sorry.”Elena looked at him, puzzled. “Sorry? For what?”“For sleeping with Sasha,” he said, guilt flickering in his eyes. “Even if I wasn’t in control, I hate that it happened.”She reached out, brushing her fingers gently along his cheek. “It wasn’t your fault, Dominic. You were under a spell. I know you’d never do that willingly. If anything… I should be the one apologizing. I don’t know if you’re still angry about Cerdrick.”Dominic took her hand and held it tightly, guiding her gently into his lap. “Let’s call it even then,” he said, brushing his lips against hers. “But from now on, no more secrets. Not between us. We’ve seen how quick

Cameron gave a small nod, eyes understanding, and offered a faint smile before pulling Regina out of the room, Sean silently following behind. He kept a firm grip on Regina’s arm as they descended the stairs. Her voice slithered out, sickly sweet and mocking.“Come on, Cameron… let me go, please,” she purred, her tone turning sultry. “Remember all the times in your apartment? The kitchen… the sofa… that hot tub? We made out in every corner. We had fire. You can't deny that. You enjoyed every second. Don’t pretend you didn’t.”Cameron’s claws tightened around her arm, his expression flat and cold. She gasped, eyes wide. “Are you trying to kill me?!”“You tell me,” he said with a dark smirk. “You said let you go. Right now, the only place I’d consider letting you go is to your grave.”She tilted her head, smiling through the tension as she looked directly at him. “You really are more than just handsome. You're dangerous and passionate too… Maybe I should’ve focused on you instead of Dom

They arrived at the apartment, the silence inside unsettling. Cameron unlocked the door and pushed it open. They slipped in cautiously. The living room was empty, with no sign of anyone downstairs.“Upstairs,” Elena whispered. They crept up the stairs, each step echoing their racing hearts, bracing themselves for whatever they might find. The bedroom door creaked open—and there they were. Dominic and Regina, tangled beneath the sheets, sleeping.Elena didn’t hesitate. She rushed to Dominic’s side, brushed the hair from his face, and gently pressed her lips to his.Regina stirred, eyes fluttering open. Her expression twisted from confusion to horror in an instant.“What the hell—!” she gasped, bolting upright just as Jasmine and Margaret yanked her from the bed. Her legs tangled in the covers, sending her crashing to the floor. She shrieked in surprise, disoriented, her eyes darting toward Dominic—then widened in panic when she saw Elena kissing him. “No! Don’t kiss him!”“Shut up. Lis

Cameron led them through the maze-like dungeon. As two guards came into view, he didn’t hesitate—moving swiftly, he hurled two sharp daggers. They flew cleanly through the air, lodging perfectly in the guards' throats before either could make a sound. They hurried onward, following the faint but unmistakable scent of Elena, growing stronger with each step. Rounding a corner, they spotted three more guards stationed outside a heavy iron door. Without hesitation, Cameron unleashed three more daggers. Each struck with lethal precision, burying deep into the guards' necks. The guards collapsed silently to the ground. Margaret rushed to one of the bodies, yanked a heavy iron key from the belt, and jammed it into the lock. The door creaked open. Inside, Elena stood—weak but defiant. She took an unsteady step forward just as they rushed in. “You guys…” she breathed, her voice rough but alive, trembling with relief. Margaret ran to her, wrapping her arms around her tightly. “How are you
