Chapter 13

The following morning, Cade made his way to Ava’s room, cup of coffee in his hand, a smile on his face.

The previous evening had gone well, after dessert, the adults had lingered for a while, then Luke and his family left soon afterwards.

He had decided to stay overnight in one of the guest rooms, there was no reason to rush home, especially if his kids were staying over at friends and he rather liked the idea of being near Ava and to be able to see her first thing in the morning.
