Chapter 59 - A beautiful ceremony.

Gabriella was concerned that they might be attacked, but it soon became clear that they might just have a good day. What was the most surprising thing of all was to see Eli and his family in one of the front rows of the chamber. When the councillor came to the part where he asked if anybody present had any objections to the union, Gabriella’s attention turned to Eli, but he remained in his seat.

Gabriella fought the urge to laugh as the ceremony continued and Melody and Matthew promised to love and honour each other for the rest of their lives. Gabriella had to admit that it really was a beautiful ceremony, and she stepped forward so she could officially make them part of the pack. Cutting her palm, she held it out to Melody, who did the same and as soon as their palms touched, Gabriella could feel Melody’s power flow through her.
