CHAINS OF THE PAST

After days of torment, I finally broke through the last barrier of power—my magic flaring so wildly, it nearly tore me apart. My mother had almost sacrificed her life protecting me, shielding me from a blow that should have been mine. But I wouldn’t let her fall. Not again.

I should’ve been more careful. I was wrong about so many things—especially underestimating how far my past would go to haunt me. I almost put Stella in danger. She had stood beside me, ready to risk her life for both of us, and I hadn't even realized my abusive stepfather had been trailing us the whole time.

He knew I’d found safety in this pack. He waited until I let my guard down until I started to heal before trying to take it all away again.

He thought he could still break me. That his twisted games and threats would work like before.

But the only fear I had now... was Liam.

Because if my stepfather had succeeded in what he tried to do to me—Liam would’ve felt it. Every bruise. Every scream.

HER FATHER'S SHADOW I had been panicking ever since I received Maya’s letter. The phone call that followed only made it worse. The voice on the line hadn’t been hers. I knew it instantly the pauses, the way the person avoided saying her name too often. Maya had sent someone else, and that meant she was either in danger or couldn’t speak freely.I trusted no one with this except Damon.Zack and I had to stay in the palace. If anything went wrong, if the council moved, if the throne became vulnerable… we needed to be here. And no one could know about Maya. Not yet. Not until I secured what my father had died for.“I’m sorry,” I whispered to the empty corridor as I walked. “I just need to keep you safe.”Everything felt like my fault.I was the one who dragged her into this world of secrets and enemies. I was the one who put a target on her back. Now that she was finally close to finding her mother, fate had decided to strike again. I couldn’t let her suffer because of me.By the time

VENGEANCE Revenge tasted sweet.Maya was finally in my hands.Mother had been right, like always. She had seen this coming long before I did. I never knew she already suspected who Maya’s real father was… until now. That secret made Maya even more valuable. But first, I had something to enjoy.I stood in the dark room, waiting for her to wake up.When Maya finally stirred, her eyes opened slowly, filled with pain and confusion.“Stella…” she whispered. “Where is Stella?”I smiled.“Still worrying about others?” I leaned closer. “Even now?”She tried to sit up, but she was too weak. The wolfsbane and magic dampeners were doing their job. Her wolf was quiet. Her power was gone.“Where is she?” Maya cried, her voice shaking. “What did you do to her?”“She’s alive,” I said coldly. “Barely. But she is not who I want.”Her eyes lifted to me, full of fear and anger.“You,” I said softly. “You are the one I waited for.”Maya laughed weakly, then coughed, pressing her hand to her mouth. There

A MOTHER'S MAGIC I finally got to see my daughter, after everything, after all the moments stolen from us. It still felt like yesterday. The pain of giving birth alone, locked in a basement… in a cage beneath his house. The screams. The cold. And then, silence when he took her from me. Back then, I had two best friends. Magic was exciting, wild and beautiful. We laughed, we trained, we dreamed. But all of that shattered in one night. I never expected betrayal to come from them. The day it all changed had started with celebration. It was the full moon, and I was finally going to get my wolf. My witch powers had awakened early, and I’d been practicing with a nearby coven. Everything seemed perfect until it wasn’t.That night was supposed to be the beginning. Instead, it became the end of everything I believed in.I didn’t think much of it when Daniel returned from his travels. He decided to visit our pack—his best friend was still Alpha, after all. That night, I wore a soft, pretty

STRENGTH AND RESPECT I woke up before the sun, my chest heavy with a feeling I couldn’t shake. The room was silent, I couldn't shake the feeling, something might go wrong today.I dressed in silence—pulled on my boots, fastened my coat. Today was supposed to be about honor, a challenge in front of everyone. But deep down, I knew it wasn’t just that. This wasn’t just a fight,It was a trap.I went straight to Damon’s room. He was already awake, sitting at the table with a cup of tea in his hands, staring into it like it might give him the answers we both needed I knew he was worried also.“You’re up early,” he said, glancing at me.“I didn’t get much sleep,” I replied. “Feels like everyone’s watching, waiting.”Damon nodded. “Since the banquet, the packs haven’t looked away. They act friendly, but I can feel it… their thoughts aren’t as kind as their smiles.”I let out a breath. “Literally.”He looked up at me“If Ava hadn’t noticed the herbs in my drink that night…” I said quietly, “I

The sun was barely up when I found myself standing in front of Elena’s cottage. I hadn’t slept again after that dream, if it was even a dream. My heart still raced every time I replayed my mother’s voice in my head. Elena opened the door before I could knock. “You look pale, child. Come in.” Her voice was calm, but her eyes ,sharp and wise, studied me like she already knew something was wrong. I stepped inside, the scent of herbs and burning sage filling the air. “Did you see her?” she asked quietly as she poured tea into two small cups. I froze. “How… how did you know?” Elena handed me a cup, then sat opposite me. “When your kind — an Ancient Wolf starts to awaken fully, the veil between realms thins. Sometimes, dreams are not dreams at all but glimpses into truth.” I swallowed hard. “Then it was real. My mom… she’s still alive. I saw her, Elena. She was chained, in an old cabin. She said they’re keeping her somewhere west of the mountains.” Elena’s expression darkened,
