Training had become my life these past few weeks. Between Elena’s intense lessons and William’s combat drills, my body barely got any rest. But the progress was undeniable. I could now summon and control energy without trembling, and when I channeled my wolf,Nyx,her presence felt steadier, stronger.

Granny’s book helped too. The more I read, the more I understood what being an Ancient Wolf truly meant. We exist to restore balance between realms. That line stayed with me. Maybe that was why fate brought me here,to fix what had been broken long before I was born.

Elena’s voice broke my thoughts. “You’re doing better than I expected, child,” she said with a small smile, her silver hair shimmering under the candlelight. “But don’t let pride dull your focus. The moment you do, your power will consume you instead of obeying you.”

I nodded, wiping the sweat from my forehead. “I know, Elena. I just… wish I could ask my mother how she did it. There’s so much I still don’t understand.”
