Chapter 4

Wyatt.

“That's not what I meant, I know you're just a girl but tell me who told you that so I can hit him.” She stopped banging on the door and looked at me very badly.

“You won't hurt them! They are good, we were seeing a rabbit that had her paw on her head and Lion said that she had mated with the rabbit that was looking at her. And Loan, after hitting him said that they were just resting, so I will not rest with you, bad wolf!”

“I just want to protect you, I wouldn't do anything like that to you...”

“Mark her!” the desperate Wren shouted again.

No, what's wrong with you? She's so scared. I won't mark her, she's just a girl and you get it.

I'm getting more and more pissed off.

“I warned you.” He grunted and didn't speak again.

“Come on, Olivia, I'll show you which is your room.” I took her hand and she stared at our hands together for a few seconds.

We went up to her new room. She changed into wolf form and lay down on the rug to sleep.

Live like an animal.

I carried her in my arms and laid her on the bed. I watched her and since I didn't know whether to turn off the light or not, I left it on and closed it behind me when I left.

My little wolf, I thought that the first thing I would do when I found you would be to make you mine but now that I see you I can't. You're just a girl and even though in the last hour you've gotten on my nerves more times than anyone else, I just want to protect you.

My little wolf slept for hours and from that moment I no longer felt her presence I was able to be myself again. Nico had noticed it and so had I, my attitude changes when I'm with her, maybe it's because of the peace I feel having her at last with me or because since she's mine, I feel the obligation to treat her well. I don't know if one of those two options corresponds to reality I’m but happy to be me again. I feel my humor coming back and the character too.

"Should Nico wake her up?" Anyway, I couldn't stop thinking about her as if there was something far beyond our connection, something that I don't know what it is but that keeps me aware of her as if we were one.

“It's already night and she has to eat, then she'll wake up hungry and believe me, you don't want that, Lila has a very bad mood when she's hungry.” he told me about his daughter.

Nico knows more about this than me, he and Hiraya, his mate, wasted no time having puppies and he has two, Raia the oldest by a year and Lila who is the same age as my little wolf.

"Will you tell him how old you are?" I hadn't thought about that. The difference between Olivia and me is enormous, next to me she would be a fetus while I, although I am not apparent, am an old man of five centuries with a very bad mood but with her I act differently, like more affectionate.

“No, she's just a girl, she's going to be scared, I prefer her to think that I have what I look like than for her to know that I've surpassed five centuries.” He didn't argue with me and nodded.

“Don't hesitate to call me if you need anything.” He left a bag on the couch and said goodbye with a hug.

“Thank you.” I spoke to him in his head and I heard him laugh.

“Good luck, you'll need it, Alpha.”

I hope not.

Olivia .

I was running in the woods with the animals, swimming with the fish and flying with the birds of my dreams when Wyatt jolted me awake.

"What... what do you want?" I asked terrified. The last time someone woke me up like this was father and I never saw him again. My brothers don't like to talk about them, they get very sad.

"Shall we eat?" he suggested. I stared at him confused. After Mom, Lion and Loan fed me only once because there wasn't any or they didn't want thirst to make my belly ache.

“I only eat once.” I told him. He observed my body, moved his eyes up and down and stretched out his hand, I thought he was going to poke my eye but he didn't and caressed my neck instead.

"You're very skinny, you should eat more, little wolf.” He took his hand away.

"Thin?" I asked her. Many things were leaving me, I hadn't talked to anyone for a long time. Lion and Loan were not very communicative.

"That would mean you're skinny," he explained and I nodded. "Tomorrow I'll buy you a dictionary," he said annoyed.

And what have I done to him now? How am I going to see the dictionary if I can't read either?

"Is there a lagoon or a river?" He raised his eyebrow very high and lowered the other.

"Why do you need a lagoon or a river?" He smiled as when children make fun of something or something amuses them.

“I want to clean myself.” I showed him my hands. “I don't like them to be dirty.” I raised my feet so he can saw them too.

“Come.” He took my hand as I covered myself with the strange cloth that I use when I was sleeping.

“You can take a bath here, you just have to open the faucets.” He pointed to the faucets and kissed my forehead before leaving the room. I got into that glass box, opening what he called the faucet and letting out a loud scream running out of there.

“What happened?!” Wyatt came very worried and running.

“The water.” I touched the arm that I burned and showed him the red color that it already had.

“You must open both,” he told me as if it were obvious and began to play with the shins, he rolled his eyes.

I slowly put one foot inside the glass box and put the other, the water was very nice and warm.

“Thank you.” I turned and smiled at him, he smiled and stared at me.

My cheeks burned and I turned my back on him. I heard him walking nearby. I saw his shadow behind me, I thought he was going to get into the glass box but he closed it, turned around and closed the door of the room.

I finished bathing, took a red cloth from the cabinet and wrapped myself in it. Mom used to do the same thing when I was little. She would wrap me in one of these, I think they call it a towel, and brush my hair in front of the glass.

I looked and next to the box there is a comb, I took it and started to untangle my hair. I returned to the room wrapped in the towel. Where I had slept there were yellow clothes and slippers.

It took me a while to know where everything was put until I managed it and went with Wyatt downstairs.

“Wyatt!” I shouted from the stairs.

“Little wolf, this way,” he spoke to me from the other side and when I approached, he stared at

Me.

“You're beautiful,” he told me and my cheeks began to burn again. “Come, let's eat.”

We sat at the table. He cut the meat with those sharp metal things and I ate with my hand because it's easier and I don't cut myself.

When I finished I stayed looking at the house, the lights are very strong but the decoration is beautiful. It's missing some pink here and there but it's cute.

"Do you like it?" His eyes were on me.

"It's very pretty" I kept looking at the rest of the house.

“I love you little wolf.”

His words made my muscles hard and my arms break out in goosebumps.

"What's wrong with you?" He approached and I backed away without looking at him.

“Little wolf.” He crouched down to my height, staying just a few steps from me.

“Don't come near me,” I whispered with fear and ran to the door to open it but it didn't open. I had to look everywhere looking for another one but there isn't.

I curled up on the floor and started crying.

“Little wolf.” I felt his hands touch my hair and I moved. “Little wolf, I'm not going to hurt you. I don't know what I did wrong but I need you to tell me.”

I looked up a little, meeting his eyes. He seemed serene and worried at the same time, his eyes showed me many different feelings and he stroked my hair like a baby.

"Calm down," he whispered.

“Why do you want to kill me? I've stopped poking you in the eye, Wyatt...”

“Kill you?” His eyebrows became uncontrolled again and he lowered them, almost joining them with his eyelashes. “Little wolf, I don't want to kill you.” He took my hand to his chest and kissed it.

"Then why do you say you love me?" I asked.

"Because I really love you, but I'm not going to kill you, I would never hurt you," he said, getting closer to me, lifting my chin and bringing his face close to mine. His mouth was placed on my little nose and I stayed still until he walked away.

"I'm sorry," he looked sad.

“What was that?” I touched my nose and there was nothing strange, my skin was soft as always and he looked at me very sad.

Wyatt.

Why the fuck didn't I hold back! She is a girl who is afraid of affection. At what point did I lose my mind?

"What was that?" She asked nervously. No, more like she seemed scared, she touched her nose and looked at her fingers looking for some reason for my bad behavior.

“I won't do it again, I'm sorry.” I went to the table without having the courage to look at her and gathered the plates and cutlery. I washed everything and when I got back to the living room she was looking at the box with the rings of the Alpha and its moon. "Do you like them?" I asked and she nodded.

"Who are they for?" she asked, hiding her smile, you can see from afar that she wants them for herself.

"For you and me" I said with a smile.

“But it's too big for me,” she said pointing to the black ring that is for the alpha of the pack.

"Try this on." I gave him the pack moon ring and she smiled. It was still big but not as big as mine.

Her smile gone, she took off the ring and tossed it into the little box.

"You don't like it?" I asked her.

"It burns me," she said and I saw that her finger had turned red.

I touched the rings and they have nothing, I tried it on and seconds passed and nothing happened.

“It's because of the metal,” Wren told me.

I kept the rings in their place and she stared at me with her finger in her mouth and blowing it

“I'm bored.” She rested her head on the table and pouted me in the most tender way. I took my cell phone and took a picture of her. I set the wallpaper, showed it to him, smiled, and turned it off.

"What is that?" she asked looking at my cell phone as if it were an alien recently fallen from space, I turned it on again and gave it to him. "What's his name?" she insisted looking at him.

“Cell phone.” She smiled and licked it

“It's not rich.” She made a face and I laughed.

"You can't eat it, little wolf. Do you want me to buy you one?" She nodded and played with the screen for a while.

"It's cute." She started playing everything and calling everyone.

"Who is she?" He showed me the photo of my sister.

"Her name is Moana, she is my younger sister," I replied.

"And him?" she asked pointing to Nico's son who is next to my niece.

"His name is Raia, he's Nico's son," I told her and she stared at him dumbfounded. I growled at her and sighed.

"It's cute," she murmured under his breath. I growled at her once more in warning and took the cell phone from him.

"I don't want you to notice another, you are mine. You belong to me Olivia!" She began to tremble.

"I'm sorry," she said crying.

“Control yourself... And mark her!” I rolled my eyes and ignored my wolf. I don't know how to tell him anymore that I won't mark a little girl.

I have to control my jealousy, it is in my eyes that she does not understand what it means to be mate and what it is to be faithful and love only your destiny.

"Wait, where are you going?" I asked, she was running towards the stairs.

"I'm sleepy." She kept running and disappeared up the stairs.

"I'm an idiot." I flopped down on the couch.

Why can't I behave? What's wrong with me? This is not me.

“Calm down, Alpha.” Nico knocked on the already open door and entered.

"You saw everything right?" I didn't see him but I know he nodded. "I know it's just a girl but why can't I hold back, Nico?" This time I did look at him.

“Because her wolf woke up. If her wolf hadn't done it to you, it would be easier for you and because being handsome is in my family,” he told me jokingly and sat next to me.

“You shouldn't get jealous and less than a child, you will only make her hate you, Alpha.”

"You're right," I agreed.

“I know it's your mate and you have every right to do what you want with her but don't be an idiot and wait until it's bigger.” Unfortunately, I know what he mean.

"I'm sure she's just a girl, Nico," I clarified in a growl.

"That's why I'm telling you, she's a girl and she will die if you hurt her.” I growled.

“It is not the first time that it would happen. I am not the only one who has a girl mate and unfortunately in the few cases that there are, both mate always end up dead.”

“I won't do that to her. I'll wait for her until she's eighteen, then she'll choose and she won't have a sad life, she'll be happy,” I affirmed.

“If you can't handle the task of taking care of her, you should call me and I'll take care of her together with Hiraya. You know how possessive we are and we can't risk our moon dying or hurting.”

I didn't say anything because I agreed with everything but I wasn't going to let him take her away. I am an Alpha, I can control my wolf.

“By the way, stop being jealous when she says that my son is cute, Olivia is a teenager. It's normal to have crushes."
