I forced myself awake due to the feeling of a pressure pushing on my bladder. I shot up and raced to the bathroom. After I had relieved myself, I stood Infront of the mirror. I couldn’t even recognise myself. My eyes were red and swollen, my nose was red with snot hanging from it, I grabbed some tissue and blew my nose. I turned on the cold tap and rinsed my face with some cold water.

“Azelea. Can you hear me?”

Nothing she was silent. I threw my wet tissue away in the bin and grabbed some more to take back to bed with me. I walked back to my bed and grabbed up my phone to check the time. I knew it was late as it was dark outside, I hadn’t even eaten anything but I wasn’t hungry. I powered my phone up and instantly had notifications coming through.  Messages from Ashley in fact all the messages were from her, not one from Conner. My heart sank and I could feel my tears welling up in my eyes again.

I noticed the time on my phone it was 11.20pm. I felt weak from crying so much but I wasn’t tired, I was angry, actually no I was more than angry I was seriously pissed off. I realised I was thirsty I hadn’t had anything to drink since yesterday so I went down to the kitchen to get a drink. I stood in the kitchen and made a drink of juice I drank it all. Still feeling thirsty I knew I was dehydrated so I had 2 glasses of water. I gulped them down. I wasn’t hungry so I went back up to my room.

My room was in darkness but the moon light was shining through. I went and sat on the window sill and opened my window. Infront of me was the woods in the distance but you could see people sitting around the camp fire in the clearing. I closed my eyes and lifted my face to the moon, hoping it would give Azelea some strength to help her. I seriously wanted to know who that woman as. The more I thought about it the more pissed off I became.

I could feel Azelea still whimpering quietly in the back of my mind. I sighed as I opened my eyes. I could hear the music coming from the camp fire site and I could see people running and messing around in the distance. I looked down and realised I was still in my ripped dress. I stood up and went to the walk-in wardrobe taking my pjs out of the drawer and walked into the bathroom to take another shower.

I had a Luke warm shower and didn’t wash my hair. I just wanted to feel fresher and more alive. I got out and dried myself, I did my evening routine before I put my pjs on, I picked up the ripped dress and threw it in the bin as I walked back to my bed. I know what you’re thinking I should be a mess right? Wrong. Yes, I’m pissed off and yes, I feel like crying all the time. But I was raised by warriors. Top warriors of this pack until last year. I’m not going to fall apart my parents raised me to be strong and strong I shall be.

Thoughts of my ripped dress came to my mind. I remembered how excited I was when I woke yesterday morning. I woke up to my phone ringing and Ashley’s name showed on the screen.

“Birthday Girl, get your glad rags on were hitting the shops.” She yelled.

I laughed. “Good morning to you to.”

“Make sure you’re ready, I’ll be outside in 45 minutes.”

“Ok, ok I’m getting ready now.” I chuckled.

“Ok, love you babe. Kiss kiss.” She ended the call.

I looked down at my phone and smiled. Ashley had been my best friend for 16 years. Her family moved to our pack when I was 2 years old. We played together, went to kindergarten together right through to college. She had always been there for me. I quickly got up ran into the bathroom, showered and washed my hair. I dried my hair with the dryer and got my clothes on. I grabbed my purse and my id from my bedside drawer put my converse on and headed downstairs.

I had just poured cereal into a bowl for breakfast when a car horn was beeping madly outside. I smiled as I placed the cereal box back down and ran through the living room to the door. When I opened it, Ashley was standing on the outside of the car, her arm reaching in beeping the damn car horn constantly. I laughed as she then broke out into a Happy Birthday song. Singing well if you could call that singing, I laughed and made my way to her.

Once she had finished her song she skipped over to me and hugged me.

“Happy birthday bestie.”

“Thanks, so where are we going?”

“First stop lunch, then into the mall for some serious shopping before we go to get your dress for the party tonight.”

“Sounds good.” I smiled as I opened the passenger side door and got in.

Ashley got in and started the car, playing with the CD fast button to get a song for us to sing to. The song started playing and the volume got turned up then BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY by Queen came blaring through the speakers. Both of us screaming as we broke into the song. We both sang our hearts out, banging our heads to the best bit of all the guitarist then the build-up. The bass thumping. I looked over at Ashley as goose bumps came popping up on my arm. There is just something about Freddie Mercury’s music that just puts you in the mood.

We pulled up outside of a little café called Nellys. My mum used to bring us here for breakfast sometimes. It is a quiet little café that makes the best waffles in town. The café is owned by a lovely old couple that has been here for years. We parked up and went inside finding our favourite table in the back. We ordered chocolate pancakes and a chocolate milkshake. By now my stomach was rumbling especially with the fresh smell wafting in from the kitchen.

  • The Alpha’s Lost Mate   The fight

I flipped her over the top of me and she landed on her back with a thump. She had let go of my hair and not shitting you she screamed and spat, wriggling to try and free herself from me. After letting her hair go, I managed to get up. My dress was hanging off one of my shoulders, I think it had torn. I was so pissed with this woman. I hadn’t done anything but she attacked me first. She got up and her chest was rapidly rising and falling, then she lunged for me again. Claws out and going for my face. I blocked her hands and threw them to the side before I landed a punch right in her face. Her screams were bouncing off of the walls. She kicked she threw punches which she missed. She was like a crazed banshee. The bathroom door opened and I heard a gasp. I didn’t take my eyes off of this crazy woman so I didn’t see who had opened the door. The door closed and the person left. “You can’t have him, he’s mine.” She yelled. “What the fuck are you on about?” “You, you’re try

  • The Alpha’s Lost Mate   At the Gala

Brett took my hand and placed it on his arm and he walked me out to the car. It was a limousine. I’ve never travelled in one and I felt important going to the gala in one. The driver had gotten out and was holding the door open for us by the time we got to the car. I stepped in first then Brett slid in beside me. We arrived at the gala 45 mins later. To say it was impressive well what can I say. Spotlights were shinning down on the red carpet. Cars were pulling up beside us. There were photographers snapping pictures of everyone who was attending. Our car stopped and Brett got out and walked around to my side of the car. He opened the door and held out his hand. God this was nerve wracking. What if I fall flat on my face walking on the red carpet. My nerves were going through the roof. I took a deep breath and placed my hand in his. The tingles were running down my fingers into my arm. Not strong only light but I stepped out. The moment I did photographers were snapping picture

  • The Alpha’s Lost Mate   Preparing for The Gala

She glared at me as she walked past. Sticking her chin up as If I was beneath her. Stuck up bitch. Shortly after Brett walked out of his office. I straightened up not knowing what to expect. He walked past me and I followed. We got down to the car park and got into the car. I thought he was going to drive off when someone knocked on his window. He looked up and wound his window down. “Brett my love, I will see you at the gala.” I looked over at her as she glanced at me. She raised her hand palm facing upwards and blew him a kiss as she turned and walked away. Brett shook his head and started the car. He pulled away as I sat back not saying a word. He broke the silence. “Sasha.” I looked at him. “As much as I thought what you said was amusing today. Please don’t talk to company guests like that again. You need to refrain from speaking your mind.” I nodded. “I understand sir.” “Ok let’s get this cleared up. When it’s just us you call me Brett. And just to let you kno

  • The Alpha’s Lost Mate   Meeting Stephanie Baxter again

I really wanted too ask Brett who that woman was. Acting like I wasn’t even there. Fuck that made my blood boil. I hate being ignored. One of my flaws I guess. But we finished our meal in a little awkwardness but hey that’s how it goes I guess. Once we had left the restaurant we headed back to the office. The job itself wasn’t too bad but I’m guessing he’s just letting me off seems it’s my first day. The drive back to the office was in silence. We both went into our own offices and work started again. The rest of the afternoon went pretty much fine. A knock on the door took my attention from Brett’s following day schedule. “There’s a gala this evening it’s a fund raiser, you need to come with me.” A gala fuck I’ve never been to one of these before. What do I wear? I sat there thinking to myself. I don’t even know if I will have time to go shopping after work. “I will pick you up at 7pm.” “But sir, I don’t think I have anything to wear to a gala, I mean I’ve never been

  • The Alpha’s Lost Mate   News on Sasha

“Why did you do that Conner?” Ashley shouted at him. “HEY, don’t damn well shout at me, if I didn’t pull you out of there do you know what would have happened? And why did you come in there? You’re not making it any easier for us.” Ashley huffed and pouted. “But Conner, why is he so up in the air about that useless bitch?” “He always has been Ash, since her parents died he’s always been there for her. Her parents were my parent’s best friends.” “So what? ARGHHH.” she screamed even now when she’s gone she’s causing fucking problems. She yelled and stormed off. I sighed, I pinched the bridge of my nose. I’m angry, know not angry am pissed. But Ashley’s right. Sasha isn’t even on pack lands but she’s still causing fucking trouble. This is a headache at its worst. The atmosphere over the whole pack right now was suffocating. Everyone knew this aura was from the Alpha. He was angry and I still don’t know why he’s so hell bent on Sasha being here. She’s an adult for Christ’s sak

  • The Alpha’s Lost Mate   Trying to find Sasha

I stood in my office, looking out. I don’t know where Sasha has gone. I had just had an argument with my father about her. He was so damn angry at me. I’m just hoping that he won’t hold back handing over the Alpha position to me. My father has been keeping a close eye on Sasha since her parents had died. Her parents and mine were in fact best of friends. We had grown up together, but I never thought she would have been my mate. Ashley ok is not really Luna material but she is so much better in so many ways. She smart, she’s beautiful, she has a figure to die for. I don’t care if she’s Luna material or not. My parents don’t like Ashley at all, mother even called her a gold digger. Admittedly, she loves to spend on my card. We have just gotten back from a meeting with my parents where I told them that Ashley is my chosen mate. They don’t know that Sasha is my fated. I’ve been to Sasha’s house but it’s locked up. I don’t know where she is. Thing is no one has seen her since the day
