Coming of Age Party

June the owner brought our milkshakes over and placed them down. She smiled at us as she walked away. My mouth watered as I cold smell the chocolate coming from the glass. I took a big sip as the cold chocolate milk went down my throat. I licked my lips savouring the taste.

“So what are you wearing tonight?” I asked Ashley.

“Hmm I don’t know yet, I don’t know whether to wear a long dress or short. What do you think?”

I shrugged my shoulders then grinned. “I think short.”

“Really?”

“Yup I think you should, you never know you might find your mate” as I wiggled my eyebrows at her. We both burst out laughing. We chatted and drank our milkshakes. We both stopped when June brought our waffles over. My mouth watered as she placed them down on the table. Melted chocolate was dripping down over the waffles. I couldn’t wait to tuck in. once we were finished and we sat the and rubbed our belly’s, Ashley went and paid the bill.

We walked out and headed to the mall. We fist hit a shop called Shelleys. It had lovely women’s clothes in store. I picked up a few items as did Ashley and took them into the back to try them on. We modelled for each other and I chose 2 dresses. Ashley didn’t buy any. I was disappointed only due to the fact one of them looked gorgeous on her. I paid for my purchases then headed next door to a Lingerie store called Victorias. I brought some new underwear and a couple of new bras. Ashley did buy something but not sure what it was.

Our last stop of the day was to the gown store. When we got there my breath hitched as we walked in. the gowns were so beautiful and I knew then that my bank card was going to get a beating. These dresses weren’t just beautiful they were God damn expensive running into the thousands. As I looked through each rack of dresses my eyes started to widen. I know I didn’t have enough on my card. Well, that’s a lie I did but if I brought any of these it would be like spending someone’s salary for 6 months.

I sighed heavy as I smiled at the attendant and went to walk out of the shop. I was just about to open the shop door when I heard a lady’s voice.

“Are you sure this dress doesn’t come in a larger size?”

“No am sorry ma’am I’ve already looked. This is the biggest it goes in this design.”

I looked at them and I have to say the dress was absolutely beautiful. It was white lace off the shoulder, floor length with a slit up the left side to the thigh. I decided to hang around for a bit hoping that the dress would go back on the rack and I could have a proper look. Ashley was still looking so I took a seat on a chair near the desk and waited. The attendant that was dealing with the customer that didn’t fit the dress walked to the counter and put it down.

I heard a squeal and saw Ashley beaming. “This is it; this is the one.” She walked over and told the cashier to wrap up her dress, she looked at me.

“Did you find one?”

I shook my head and got up walking to the counter. I eyed the white laced dress. I touched it to look for a price ticket but I couldn’t find one.

“Excuse me. How much is this dress please?”

“Let me look for you.” She replied.

“This dress Ma’am is £950.00 pounds. It’s actually on sale.”

Ok, so I could afford this. “May I try it on please?”

“Certainly.”

She handed me the dress, and I made my way to the changing rooms. I got inside a cubicle and changed. I slipped the dress on and gazed at myself in the mirror. I couldn’t believe it was me staring back at myself. Even saying it myself I looked freaking amazing. The dress fitted like a glove. It curved to my body and I looked so elegant.

“Come out Sasha, let me see.”

I walked out and Ashley’s face dropped in shock. Her eyes never left me. Her mouth opened to say something but it closed again. She walked back a couple of steps till she felt the waiting room chair behind her and she fell back into it.

“Wow.” Is all she could say.

“Do you like it? Does it look ok?”

“Sasha, seriously girl, look ok. Are you fucking kidding me. You look amazingly beautiful. The men will fall over themselves for you. Girl, you need to get this dress.”

I was happy with her reaction I was so happy inside, I walked back into the cubicle and changed back. I came out happy and practically skipped to the cashier’s desks.

“Wrap it up please.”

“Yes Ma’am.” She took the dress as I smiled at her. I paid for the dress and walked out ready to go I couldn’t wait for tonight when I would wear my dress. If my mate was going to be there tonight, I want to make an ever-lasting impression.

When we got home Ashley stayed to get ready at my house. Seems the party is at the conference hall on pack lands. I will also get my wolf tonight. Excitement was bustling through the house, we had music playing, having a couple glasses of wine to get us in the partying mood. We each had a shower and got ready. Ashley did my make up and hair before I slipped into my dress. I found some matching shoes to go with it in my closet. I went to the back of the closet and reached up to the shelf and brought down a brown box. Inside was a neckless and matching earings that my father had gifted her on their wedding anniversary.

The earrings were a tear drop with 1 diamond surrounded by blood moon rubies. The neckless the same. They were delicate. Ashley was kind enough to help me put them on.

We were finally ready, collecting our clutch bags from the sofa we made our way to Ashley’s car. My stomach was turning, nervous knots. We got in, buckled up and pulled off. We were on our way.
