“You needed sleep and it was the only way I could be sure of it.” He mutters, unphased by my reaction. “And,” He adds with a smile, “this way, I knew you couldn’t do something stupid and try to run.”

I was speechless. If he thought it was so easy to drug me, then what else was he capable of?

My thighs clamp together and his eyes shift to the movement under the comforter. “Don’t worry, little wolf, I haven’t touched you, yet. But one day you will be begging me too.”

He moves from the chair revealing a plate of breakfast pastries. I’m not going to lie, they look delicious, but what if he has drugged them too? What if this was his plan to make sure I stay here?

“They haven’t been touched.” He mutters, like he could read my mind, which only makes me frown.

We could both hear my stomach growling, but still, I stay rooted to the bed. I was used to going without food now and again. The grumbling stomach didn’t bother me, I had heard it much louder than it is now.
