Chapter 3: Dealing with the Alpha

I am still adjusting to my new environment. I am surrounded by normal people, werewolves and vampire which is not definitely what I want. Spenting few days and night here is both blessing and cursed. I feel more comfortable here but when the Alpha is around, my body is reacting so strange.

"Are you really a normal person?" Vivian keeps on asking her me we are on our way to our school.

I acted like I didn't hear anything. Why would I tell her the truth? I am a big disgrace to my family, and I hated being a werewolf without a wolf. If i tell her my secret, then it’s like betraying my own.

"Okay, I wont force you to tell me the truth, but please always be careful. Almost ¾ of the students in our school are vampires and werewolves. There are a lot of bully, and sometimes we have a dangerous and risky activity that not suit for normal people," Vivian said seriously.

When I heard it, I became curious about the school I enrolled. I knew that my life might be in jeopardy, but I am willing to risk my life than to came back to where I came from. I will never get back to the hell i live a long time ago.

"What's with that smirked, transferee?"

I sniffed when I heard a cold and disgusting voice in front of us. It is the Beta who is trying to mock on me again. He stared into my own eyes, his blue eyes are cool, but why thehell hekeep on pestering me too? The Alpha and this one is tormenting me in every night I attended my class.

"Sorry for what I did yesterday," I said, but deeply I really want to choke this guy in front of me. I let my pride down for my own's sake.

"I'm surprised! You change a lot, did Alpha taught you a lesson?"

"No one taught me, I learned it by my own." With her hand on her pocket, she walks away from the Beta who's looking at her without blinking. He can't deny that Patricia is attractive.

"She's the transferee."

"She looks so boastful, like the heck! I want to kill this brat!"

Gossip spread all over the corner. As I walk on the hallway, the student's look is fixated on me which definitely made me irritated..

"Touch her, and you'll perish." A cold and playful voice echoed. The Alpha walks towards me and held my hand without wasting time.

"This girl is my property, no one shall touch nor hurt her!" Alpha Laurence said with his bossy tone.

"I'm no one's property," I whispered to Alpha Laurence but it's nothing to him.

I can't deny that Alpha Laurence is attractive to my eyes, but being a girl that doesn't care about my surrounding, it is easy for me to ignore him.  He is an Alpha, I shouldn’t be interfering with his life.

"Let's have a deal," the Alpha said while looking at me.

"Alpha Laurence, sorry for disturbing you but... Patricia is just a normal being," Vivian interrupted.

"I don't care if what kind of being she is. You can go, Vivian," with a fierce look, he answered.

I tried to calm. I am not afraid that the Alpha might hurt me, but I’m afraid that he might discover my secret.

"Again, I want to have a deal with you," the Alpha said once again. He faced me and lifted my chin up.

"What deal?" I breath restlessly. I began to feel something weird that I can't even explain.

"I want you to be my girlfriend. Let's say, we're going to pretend," Alpha Laurence said and grin at me.

"Girlfriend? What do you think of me?" I shouted, good thing that there's no one behind us.

"I'm an Alpha, I can get whatever I wanted, and I want you," he said and a smirked escaped from his lips.

"Haven't you heard what Vivian said? A werewolf can't be paired with humans," I said and turned my back from him.

"I am a the Alpha. Who told you that we can't be paired by a normal human? I can make you one of us," Alpha Laurence sounds desperate to make me agree with his deal.

"I don't like you!"

"You're so brave. But what can you do, if I want you? You can't reject me, human," he pulled me to his grasp.

"Let me go!" Iyelled in annoyance.

"Okay, fine. I will give you a challenge. Once you pass our activity today, I will terminate that fucking deal, but once you failed, it simply means you have no other choice but to accept my deal," with that, the Alpha left me.

"Tsk. Of course, I will make everything I can do to pass that test." I am confident enough, but I don’t know what will be our activity.

When I arrived to our room, they all look at me. I was able to catch their attention, which i hate the most.

"W-what?" I utters but they all shook their heads. What’s wrong with them?

"Come in! We are going to have our activity today!" Professor Go said and press something on the wall.

"You're a normal person?" A girl asks me, so I nodded.

"Goodluck. This is not good for us, but I hope you'll pass your first test," she said and tapped my shoulder.

I smiled at her. We closed our eyes, and when we opened our eyes, we are already at the forest. It's an advantage for me, because I loves staying in the woods since I was young.

"If you were able to beat the Alpha, it means you pass this activity."

I was shocked by what our Prof said. I’m not expecting this.

"What are we going to do?" I asked and they all look at me.

"Fight me, honey," Alpha Laurence answered and wink at me. What the h*ck!

"She'll be the last one," he added and the activity started.

I watches them fighting. I witnessed how powerful the Alpha is, which made me doubt to my abilities. My pack treated me as a weak one, how much more this Alpha?

"Once I show them all of my strengths, they won't believe that I am an ordinary human," I whispered.

"It's now your turn, honey!" Alpha Laurence faced me.

I looks around and figure out that it's only the two of us were left. I swallowed my saliva restlessly and began to panic. I can't decide whether I will use her ability in fighting or not.

Without any words, Alpha Laurence attacked me from my back and I wasn't able to avoid his attack. I twirls and tried to catch his hands, but the Alpha's speed is so fast.

"You will fail this test, and just accept my deal," Alpha Laurence whispered but I pushed him away.

"Fight me, honey!" I  and began to move wildly.

"Why did you stop?" I asked him but Alpha Laurence smirked and immediately attacked me and made me fall into the ground.

"You failed the test!"

He is a cheater, but that’s a good technique on figthing in real battles. I failed.

We came back to our room, and I am very disappointed. "You're a cheater!" I yelled but the Beta stopped me.

"You're just stupid," Beta Lance said.

"Really?" with too much anger, I kicks the Beta and push him to the ground. "Who's stupid now?"

Beta Lance was about to hurt me when Alpha Laurence stopped him. The Alpha cares for me, I don’t know if I’m right but that’s what I feel.

"Don't touch her, she's mine," Alpha Laurence emphasize the word 'mine' so Beta Lance stepped backward and did nothing but cursed.

What's wrong with this Alpha? Why is he doing this to me? I know he will hate me once he discovered the truth about me.

"You're good in fighting. Are you really a normal human?" Vivian approached me but I only nod at her.

"Do you know Alpha Laurence since then?" Vivian is curious on how Alpha Laurence act these days.

"NO." With that, I stood up.

"I can't believe that a cold-hearted man will fall in love," Vivian said, so I laughs at her.

"Fall in love? Is it also happening to werewolves? The Alpha need to find his mate, and it's not me," I said.

"How would you know? What if it's you? He won't keep on owning you if he didn't feel anything. Tell me, if you will be his mates, will you accept him?" Vivian asked again and that made me became irritated.

"I don't the hell care! I want to live peacefully!" I walkout from their room.

"I never expected that you're just an ordinary human. What are you doing here?" Jarred asked me when he saw me walking..

I look at him. "Why? Am I the only human here?"

"I know you Patricia," Jarred said that surprised me.

"What? What the hell you're talking about?" I started to panic.

"I can see your past, don't deny it... you're one of them," he said and turned his back from me.

"Please, don't tell anyone about what you know."

"In one condition," Jarred smirked and then smile.

"W-what condition?" I utters and waited for his answer.

"Accept the Alpha's deal and be his mate," Jarred playfully said.

"Why would I? I have no wolf!"

"Your wolf is not yet awakened, trust me, time will come for you to shine," Jarred said and it excite me.

Is there really a remaining chance for me to awaken my wolf I’m tired of waiting!

"Okay fine. I will accept his deal, but promise me that no one will know this secret," Patricia answered and securing that Jarred will not leak my secret.

"You're just here, I taught you already escaped," Alpha Laurence suddenly came with a bottles of drinking water on his hands.

"I'm accepting the deal not because I failed the test, but because I want," I said and give him a poker face.

"That's a good decision. Don't worry, playing the role of being my girlfriend is just easy. I will protect you from anyone here. I will always send you to your apartment back and forth.”

"How long the deal could be?" I asked and glared at him. I just want to make sure.

"Until my mate accepts me," Alpha Laurence said and I nodded.

I'm just a substitute, sucks!

"From now on, you're mine," Alpha Laurence said and hugged me.

"For Pete's sake! Don't hug me!"

"Why? Who cares? You're already mine!"

"Sweet." Prince Jarred said while smiling like crazy.

"Pat, we need to go," Vivian came with her sweat running down on her face. Alpha Laurence looks at her and smirked.

"I'll send her home, don't worry about her." Those words make me feel that I am special. First ever in my life.

"I'll go with him, take care Vivian," I said and Vivian nodded.

"What's the plan now? You need to marry as soon as possible." Jarred said which made me frowned at them.

"I need to, but I need to wait for my mate," Alpha Laurence said.

I felt something weird. It's like I’m jealous but I doesn't know why. Who is his mate?

"And I am only a substitute, right?" I asked and Prince Jarred smiled.

"Yes, you are, but if you fall in love with me, I will marry you."

Sucks! I’m just the second option.

"Better marry your face!" I walkout but Alpha Laurence keep on chasing me..

"Don't escape. You're not going anywhere this night. This night is ours," Alpha Laurence said and I gave him a blank look.

"I will introduce you to my pack."

It made me to tremble on nervous. I’m scared of being judge once again.

"I think I need to rest, can you move it to the other day?" I made some excuse.

"Sure, honey!" Alpha Laurence said and suddenly his phone rings.

"Don't be sacred. It's your destiny, go with the flow," Prince Jarred whispered to me.

This is not what I planned. I left my place to live peacefully, but how can now I live peacefully if the Alpha already interfere with my life, and made me as his girlfriend? Could it be possible that Prince Jarred is right? Am I a late bloomer?
