As the protector of the golden bloodline,my job was to be with the Alpha who possess it all my life so as to control it but every Alpha chooses a path of their own which i can't control but only guide. Alpha Jareth, the former Alpha who possesses the golden bloodline used it for evil. His core overheated and he exploded which cost me my life. The strangest thing that happened to me was when I appeared in another world and people thinking I was someone else. I wanted to blow my cover but I found the golden bloodline in a grumpy Alpha who hates my guts. How will I protect him when he hates the person he thinks I am? Will he chose the evil or good path? Will I die again or finally be able to execute my task?

I'm Selene and I've been cursed to protect the golden bloodline all my life. It was not an easy task as I had to fight off almost all the werewolves in the world to protect it. Our family has been cursed to be the protector of the golden bloodline and to also protect the person whom it chooses. It has been passed from one generation to another and it's my turn. It is a blessing and also a curse. I'm twenty-four years and I'm around 5ft tall. My tan skin complements my brown hair. My hazel eyes and my pointed nose accompanied by my pink plump lips made me very attractive but who wants to marry a cursed wolf? A protector of a golden bloodline who would follow an Alpha all her life? Nothing must happen to the golden bloodline, I'll protect it with my life if I have to. My life is connected with it. Walking down the bushy path slowly so as not to make some noise with Alpha Jareth I heard some horses approaching and I knew they were the ones after us. The Alpha who now has the golden bloodline had turned evil and he knows the complications of it if I was alive with him, it would bring chaos to the world. He had already caused chaos by fighting with other clans and now they were after us. I held my sword tightly as it was time for business. Several galloping and noises were heard and we decided to run but they caught up with us. They were many and I couldn't count them. "What to do?" I asked myself as I looked at Alpha Jareth. His bloodshot eyes and the way he clenched his fist. He was bloodthirsty and I knew I couldn't control it anymore. "You have nowhere to run to Selene." The Alpha of the Blood Moon kingdom jumped down his horse. "All I know is you aren't getting the golden bloodline from me. I'll protect him at all costs." I spat. "He brought war to our kingdom and other kingdoms. He killed my Luna. That bastard!" He yelled as he pointed his sword at me. They began to attack me and I kept fighting back and protecting Alpha Jareth. He must not die. One swung at me and I dodged instantly, piercing him with my sword in the belly. I kicked him and he fell to the ground. Another tried to behead me with his sword but I was faster. I sliced his hand off his shoulder and he screamed. I beheaded him instantly too. Alpha Jareth pushed me away. I held him and he pushed me aggressively. He began fighting, killing them with less effort. Beheading and piercing them with his sword. More people came, attacking us. "Let's go Alpha. We are outnumbered." I warned but he didn't answer. If he continues like this his core is going to explode and I'll die with him. He continued fighting and I decided to help him out, I was his protector after all. They began to change into their wolf form since we had killed almost all their men. I changed into mine too. My fur was unique as it was a silver color and I had a black strand on my head. I attacked the Alpha of the Blood Moon pack immediately and gave him a bad bite on his neck. He was bleeding profusely. I was also getting tired at that moment. They've been after us for weeks. They are the only pack that has taken me so much time to kill ever since I became a protector. I continued killing the other wolves as they were omegas and rogues, it was very easy for me to kill. I changed back to my human form immediately and I was naked. I didn't care. Alpha Jareth must not die. I went to Alpha Jareth. I grabbed his wrist and he was hot. "You have to stop. You'll explode." I begged but he didn't listen. He went forward and continued. The Holden bloodline makes you bloodthirsty when you turn evil and it's a path you can never come back from. I wanted to go meet him but before I could get to him, I saw a shiny golden light from him. I began to feel weak. I got stabbed from behind. I fell on my knees and Alpha Jareth continued fighting. "Stop!" I yelled as he turned to look at me. He didn't care. He continued fighting till the light became brighter and brighter and he exploded. I grunted as I dug my sword into the earth and tried to stand up but the pain and agony I felt was not manageable. The person removed the sword from my stomach and I fell. The golden bloodline disappeared. I surrendered to the pain and died on the spot. [Dante] "Sir!" One of my subordinates rushed in. "What's wrong?" I asked surprised as to why he was home. His clothes were really dirty and he smelt bad He's supposed to be helping me with my business transactions with the Greenwoods. "She's dead sir. The building where we were having a meeting caught fire." My beta, Daniel announced. "And how is that my business? At least you're safe. Have you completed the transaction? Are the property papers with you?" I asked. I know I sound mean but Kali is not someone to pity. Immediately after her father died, she auctioned all her father's property and as the Alpha of the Blackpack, I had to buy them all so it wouldn't end up in the wrong hands. She even said she was going to leave the pack after. Kali has always been rebellious and a spendthrift. She was a drug addict and a prostitute. I found out when investigating her before acquiring all of the assets. I hate her so much I'm happy she's finally leaving my pack. "If you don't check on her, they'll think you killed her just to take her father's property," Daniel said. "What? What do you mean?" Of everything in the world, I hate having a bad image and false rumors being spread about me. "You were supposed to be present in the first place but you made an excuse and now she's dead. Connect the dots, sir." He said "What are you insulating? I didn't go because I didn't want to see her ugly face." I almost yelled. That kind of accusation is too strong. I hate her but I can never kill her. "Nobody would understand sir. That's why you have to come with me, just for the press, nothing more. Rumors spread like wildfire Alpha Dante." He said and I stood up. "Fine, let's go," I said and we both went out. He got into the passenger's seat in the front and I got into the passenger's seat at the back. My driver drove us to the company. My driver stopped in front of Kali's late father's company. I ran to Kali's mother who was still holding onto Kali and crying her eyes out. Kali's clothes were burnt and dirty. Part of her skin was dark as coal. Raven, Kali's mother has always been a good woman. I wonder how the moon goddess paired her with such an evil daughter. "Please wake up. Wake up please." She slapped Kali's face gently. The firefighters were trying to quench the fire and the ambulance had already arrived but Kali's mother wouldn't release her so they could check her vitals. "Ma! Let them check her vitals. She could still be alive." I said and she raised her head. Her eyes were red and swollen and her beautiful face I once knew was now wrinkled. "You mean she's still alive?" She asked and I nodded. "Check her, please. Check!" She finally released her and cleaned her tears. I felt bad for giving her hope. Kali looked lifeless as she was pale. It was obvious she was already dead. One of the paramedics checked her vitals, stood, up and shook his head negatively. "What's the meaning? Why are you shaking your head?" Kali's mother yelled. I held her preventing her from going back to Kali's lifeless body. "Dante!! Leave me alone. My daughter can't be dead. Never!" She screamed as she cried. I handed her to my beta Daniel. I took a close look at Kali. She looks so clean and neat, even with the coal and dirty clothes, she looks so different, so ethereal. She had a serene demeanor. "Is this Kali? Is she dead just like that? Was it that simple?" I asked myself as I stared at her lifeless body. "Excuse me, sir. We have to take her." One of the paramedics said and I stood up. "Don't take my daughter away from me. Please." She struggled with Daniel and she finally got out of his grip. She ran to where Kali was still lying. I rushed to her to take her away but Kali suddenly opened her eyes.[Dante's POV] I was sitting in the living room, scrolling through my phone, when the front door burst open and Kali stormed in, her eyes blazing with anger. She slammed the door shut behind her, making me jump. "Where are you coming from?" I asked, anger etched on my face. Kali's eyes narrowed, her chest heaving with agitation. "It's none of your business." she spat, her voice venomous. I raised an eyebrow, surprised. "What's your problem Kali? What do you want? Why are you so adamant on ruining me?" Kali's gaze flashed with irritation. "What do you mean? Please Dante, I have no time for this. Just let me be." I held up my hands, placating. "I know where you're coming from." My expression changed from irritation to anger as I furrowed my brows. "Wait, Kali. You're coming from Mr. Johnson's house, aren't you?" I accused, my voice was low and even. Kali's eyes faltered, and she took a step back, her face pale. "Dante, I can explain-" But I cut her off, my anger boiling
[Selene/Kali]I stood outside the office building, my heart racing with anticipation. I had been waiting for this meeting with Alpha Jareth for what felt like an eternity. My mind was a jumble of questions and doubts, but I pushed them aside and took a deep breath.I had to do this. I had to know the truth. I stole his number from Dante's phone just to schedule a meeting with him.I pushed open the door and stepped inside, my eyes adjusting to the dim lighting. The receptionist looked up from her desk and smiled."Mrs Kali Dalton, right on time. Mr. Johnson is waiting for you."I nodded, my mouth dry. I followed her to a large wooden door, which she opened with a flourish."Mr. Johnson," she announced, "Mrs Dalton is here to see you."I stepped inside, my eyes fixed on the figure behind the desk. Alpha Jareth looked up, his eyes piercing."Ah, Selene. Thank you for coming. Please, take a seat."I sat down, my hands clenched in my lap. What was I going to learn?"Mr. Johnson, I mean Al
***Dante's POV***"Mr Johnson is here sir. I saw him downstairs." Daniel rushed in, breaking the news to me.Mr Johnson is the CEO of Johnson Group of companies and I've always wanted to work with him."Where?" I asked."He's with Kali. Seems they know each other. This would be good for us, maybe she'll help us convince him." He informed.I've always known Kali to be a whore but doing this at my office with someone I've been trying to work with for years is annoying."Where are they?" I smirked."The parking lot." "Great." I rolled my eyes as I dashed out of my office.Knowing the kind of woman Kali was, she could be doing anything with him by now. I got there and she was talking to him while he laughed at whatever joke she made.My voice cut through the air, laced with venom."Well, well, well. Look what we have here. My little wife, with another man."She turned to see my eyes blazing with anger, my face twisted in a snarl. Mr Johnson's eyes narrowed, his expression unreadable."D
[Selene/Kali]I sighed, feeling a pang of regret as I gazed at Dante's yelling at me. It had just been a day since their wedding and he was already yelling at her like that. I knew I was the one who had initiated the drinking that fateful night, the night that had led to our hasty marriage. Now, I couldn't help but wonder if I had made a mistake."Why did I push him to keep drinking?" I thought to myself, my mind racing with self-doubt. "Why did I think it was a good idea to spend the night with him?"My thoughts swirled with remorse as I recalled the events that had transpired. I had been the one to suggest we drink and I only did that to gain the courage to tell him I wasn't Kali but Selene, the protector of the golden bloodline and his protector. And now, here they were, married and barely speaking.I took a deep breath and decided to take action. I couldn't just sit around feeling sorry for myself anymore. I need to make things right with Dante and be close to him. I packed a l
[Dante]I tugged hard at my hair hoping what I saw was a dream and not reality. How many drinks must I have had to do that with Kali of all people? I has truly defiled Kali and had no choice than to marry her. I would only marry her for that reason and nothing else. I would never treat her like a wife nor would I recognize her as the Luna of my pack.__________It was morning and I couldn't bear to watch Kali walk down the aisle. It made my eyes twitch. I had wanted to show up in a jean trouser and shirt but Daniel had forced me to wear a suit. I just wanted to get it over with.“Do you Kali Greenwood take Dante Dalton to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, till death do you part?” The priest asked.“I do.” she answered sharply."Golddigger." I mumbled.“Do you Dante Dalton take Kali Greenwood to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, in poverty and wealth, till deat
[Narration]Kali and Dante sat in the living room several drinks deep into the night. They're both visibly intoxicated, and their conversation has taken a bitter turn."Ugh, you know what I can't stand? You. That's right, I hate you, Kali." Dante said sarcastically "Wow, Dante, that's some deep insight," Kali repliedDante rolls his eyes and downs another shot."I mean it!""God, why are you always such a pain? You're so irritating and stubborn, it's like you're trying to ruin my life. Why do you always come back? Why did you leave the first time? When we were still betrothed. Did you hate me that much?" Dante scoffed."Oh yeah, it's my fault that you're a mess. Please, I've got nothing to do with it. You're just a self-destructive jerk who can't handle his own issues. I'm only here to protect you."Their voices rise as the tension between them builds. Dante leans forward, his face inches from Kali's."You know what?" Dante gritted his teeth.Kali felt Dante's breath hot against her
[Dante]I trudged downstairs, my feet heavy with the weight of my own regret. My friends were already gathered in the living room, their faces lit up with smirks and snickers."Hey, Dante! How was your night?" one of them asked, their voice dripping with sarcasm.I knew what they were really asking. They wanted to know about Kali, about how I ended up spending the night with her even though she's the woman I hate the most in the world.I tried to brush it off, to play it cool. "It was fine," I said, trying to sound nonchalant. But they wouldn't let up. "Oh, come on, Dante! Spill the details!" another one chimed in.I felt my face heat up with anger and embarrassment. I didn't want to talk about it, didn't want to relive the humiliation of being seduced and manipulated into marriage. I can't even remember how the night went!"Leave it alone, guys," I growled, trying to shut them down. But they just laughed, their teasing and jokes piercing my skin like knives. I knew they were just tr
[Selene/Kali] My mother took another glance at me with a stern expression. "Kali, don't you want to get dressed? Do you still want to continue from where you stopped?" "Mother, it's not what you think. I don't know how this happened. I don't want to get married either." I said. My voice was barely above a whisper. She looked at me sternly. "You had your chance to choose when you went to the Alpha's bed. Now, you must face the consequences. Go, get dressed. I'll be waiting outside." With that, she turned and left the room, I took a deep breath, my heart heavy with the weight of my situation. Alpha Dante clapped his hands together, the sound echoing through the room. "Ah, Kali, you've finally gotten what you wanted," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You've manipulated me into a marriage I don't want and tarnished my image in front of the pack. Congratulations." He stood up from the bed, his eyes blazing with anger. "You've played a clever game, Kali. But know this
[Selene/Kali]I didn't know what to do. I knocked several times but he wouldn't let me into the building. I was tired and frustrated."Sir, please. I'll be careful next time." I begged for the nth time and I didn't get a response.I decided to go home so I could tell my mom. That's the only way I could get my job back and do it perfectly.I rushed home immediately and I got the reaction I expected."Why are you home by this time? What's wrong?" She asked."Alpha Dante sent me out of his office." I pouted."What did you do this time? Kali, you promised you'd be on your best behavior today." She asked."I'm sorry Mom. I made a little mistake and now he doesn't want to see me again." I explained and she shook her head at me."What do you want me to do? I can't keep asking him for favors." She said as she walked into the kitchen.I stood in the dimly lit kitchen, my heart racing as I watched my mom's eyes well up with tears. The few days I got to know her made me like her the more and wis
