I watched in awe as she communicated with her mate. The possibility thrilled me, especially the idea of two people becoming one, mind and body. I wanted that with Aiden, but he hadn’t marked me yet so it wasn’t possible.

“He’s talking with Alpha Smith who’s passing the border to get to your territory.” She informed me after a minute. “I’ve told Brian to pass your message across.”

“He did say he was going to be busy.” I whispered to myself, thinking if my presence would be a bother. “Thanks Ella.” I said

“Oh, Alpha Aiden said he would meet with you soon.”

I knew he was going to want to rush over. “Tell him to take his time, I’m in no hurry.” I replied.

“Okay, I’ll tell him that. He also orders you to eat breakfast.”

“On it already.” I said, walking towards the fridge to get something to eat, but Ella got there before me. She opened the fridge and peered inside, checking to see if there was anything I would like.
