Zaiden’s POV

I turned back to Adrian. “Let’s go together. I’ll need help at that soup place.”

“Really?” he chuckled. “What do you want to do?”

“I want to get some delicious soup for my Luna, and a few gifts too. I trust you’re good with… ladies’ things.”

“Don’t say that like it’s a bad thing,” he said with a grin. “Trust me, you need that knowledge too.”

“Maybe,” I snorted.

He chuckled loudly. “The big, bad Alpha trying to understand women? That’s a huge change. I should go thank Karen for this,” he said, laughing. I groaned.

“What?” he continued teasing. “Should I tell her you don’t fancy women’s things and don’t even know what she likes? Or should I tell her that women just irritate you?” He burst out laughing again.

“What the fuck?” I snapped. “When did I ever say that? And trust me, she’ll never believe you over me.”

“Jokes on you,” he said, still laughing.

“She will.”

    Zaiden’s POVThe next morning, after breakfast, we decided to check on Eryx. He was recovering faster than expected. Maureen was called in again to examine him.
