Aurora wiped away her tears as she slowly walked down the stairs that led to the living room and kitchen. She straightened her back, trying to look proper, but on the inside, she was broken.

Out of nervousness, she inhaled and exhaled quietly as she finally reached the last step. With another breath, she peeked into where they all were sitting around the table, laughing and talking.

She then hurried off to the kitchen so she could start serving.

‘’You get me a drink!’’ Marcus barked as he entered the kitchen with Jacob following behind him.

Aurora involuntarily tensed up when she saw Jacob.

‘’This is all your fault!’’ Marcus slapped Aurora across the face.

She had no idea what he was talking about.

He slapped her once more. ‘’The Alpha was to be here already, I’m sure it was the stench of a filth like you why he isn’t here yet.’’

Aurora held in her cry, trying to figure out this could be her fault.

‘’Alpha Marcus, he is here.’’ One of Marcus' foot soldier told him.

‘’Finally, I should make him pay for keeping me waiting for so long and having to talk to his useless Beta.’’

‘’Pay, how?’’ Jacob asked.

‘’There will only be ten of them. We easily outnumber that flea bag and can kill them. It will be perfect and will prove to the other packs that I’m not to be fucked with.’’

Aurora couldn’t believe his words, thinking that Marcus really had a huge ego because no wolf on this planet had ever thought they could go up against the Blood Moon pack. She wished someone from the Blood Moon group would hear him and report it all back to their Alpha.

"Everyone, please welcome Alpha Kyro.’’ She could hear Marcus saying, as if he hadn’t been talking shit moments ago.

‘’Thank you for coming," Marcus’ voice came.

Aurora listened for the other Alpha’s voice, but heard nothing.

Plastering a smile on her face, Aurora walked out of the kitchen to where everyone was so she could begin serving them food.

‘’Mate!’’ Aurora’s inner wolf screamed at her.

She froze and allowed the seductive scent that clouded her mind before to have the same effect on her again.

Shaking her head, she put it out of her mind that anyone from the Blood Moon pack would accept her as their mate, but she still couldn’t help it.

Her eyes skipped over each and every face to see who her mate was, then they landed on a male with sand blonde hair and honey brown eyes, who seemed to be in his early twenties. She could feel the raw power radiating from him. He seemed much more powerful than the rest.

‘’The Alpha of the Blood Moon pack is my mate? This can’t be,’’ she said to herself.

Aurora glanced back at him as he was staring intently at her, and Aurora remembered the rule. Marcus had told her to keep her eyes down while she was around them, so she held her head down and moved around the table, serving food.

Kyro’s eyes followed Aurora as she made her way around the table.

Aurora’s hand shook as she served him and her wolf cried out as she wondered why he didn’t say anything.

She almost laughed to herself, because she knew this would happen. No-one would want someone like her as their mate.

When she got to where Lilly was, she purposely stuck her foot out, so she tripped, and face planted on the hardwood floor while the rest of the roast beef splattered on the floor.

‘’Aurora!’’ Amelia said.

‘’You stupid cunt!’’ Marcus roared at the same time.

Kyro looked at Marcus but said nothing. He kept his cool to see what he would do.

Everyone laughed and mocked Aurora, who tried to hide her tears.

She began to pick up the beef, Amelia got to her knees and helped.

‘’You don’t have to do this,’’ Aurora said.

‘’I do, you don’t deserve this.’’

‘’Amelia, leave the little slut. Let her clean up her mess. She should have looked where she was going.’’ Marcus said in a low tone.

Amelia ignored him and continued helping her.

‘’Amelia!’’ Marcus shouted.

Amelia stopped and looked at him. ‘’I am the Luna; your words have no control over me.’’

Marcus snarled.

And Amelia snarled back.

Aurora glanced over at Kyro; he had a distasteful look on his face, which caused her to quickly look away.

Tears flowed down her cheeks more as the words of Marcus came back to her, and she was there thinking that he was right. The Alpha of the other pack was just as uncaring as the rest. So were those who were with him.

Lilly looked over at Jacob to see him eye fucking Aurora, and her face went red with rage. She got to her feet, grabbed Aurora in the hair, and slammed her face on the table. That caused a spot above her eyebrow to split open and blood to pour down her face.

The room erupted with laughter from the Moon Creek pack while someone from the Blood Moon pack snarled.

Alpha Kyro held up a hand to stop his Delta.

Lilly’s nails dug into the back of Aurora’s neck, and she cried out, then wrestled to get away from her grip.

Aurora cried out when Lilly’s grip got tighter and wish she could die.

‘’How could they be so cruel? A man who is supposed to be my mate would rather see me die than do anything. He truly is a ruthless man,’’ Aurora thought, then closed her eyes, ready to accept whatever fate came her way.

Again, Kyro glanced at Marcus to see if he would say anything about the matter.

‘’Aren’t you going to do something?’’ Kyro finally asked.

Marcus smirked at him, got to his feet, and walked to the other side of the table.

‘’Lilly, sit down.’’

The girl with fiery red hair ignored his words and continued to sink her nails into the back of Aurora’s neck.

‘’I said to sit down!’’ Marcus roared and Lilly whimpered.

Aurora looked up at Marcus, and he looked down at her with nothing but hate.

‘’I told you to not make a fool out of me, and you did just that. Making me look bad before Alpha Kyro and his pack. You have disgraced me for the last time.’’ Marcus sneered, then slapped Aurora across the face and she fell side away with her head bouncing off the ground.

Aurora’s ears rang, and her vision blurred.

Kyro decided to step in then and let out a roar. His roar was so powerful that it caused the glasses on the table to break and the chandelier overhead to fall on the table in pieces.

All the members of the Blood Moon pack got to the feet ready to fight, while Moon Creek members whimpered in fear from Kyro’s roar that forced them into submission.

Even Marcus was cowering in the corner, his eyes filled with fright.

Kyro held up a hand, signaling for his pack to stand down.

‘’I have this under control,’’ he told them.

‘’Is this how you treat your women, is this how you treat my mate!?’’

‘’Mate?’’ Marcus asked, trying to overcome Kyro’s influence.

Kyro rushed at him and let out a roar that caused his ear drum to shatter and bleed.

‘’This is not what a pack is about!’’ He grabbed Marcus by the neck, then slammed his face on the table and held him there.

Marcus had his eyes shut, afraid that the most feared Alpha was going to kill him.

‘’Look at her! Why the fuck would you treat her like this?’’

Marcus whimpered. ‘’Sorry, I didn’t know she was your Luna.’’

‘’Luna or not, this isn’t how you treat a member of your pack. You are placed here as a leader, not a fucking dictator. Abuse of any kind isn’t tolerated, and I am going to make any example out of you so any other pack would think twice before pulling some shit like this.’’

Kyro threw Marcus against the wall like he was a paperweight.

Leon, Marcus’ Delta, sprung into action, thinking he could take Kyro.

Without looking, Kyro grabbed him by the throat.

‘’You really think you can go against me? You are lucky my mate doesn’t know who she truly is because she would have given you all hell.’’

Kyro sunk his teeth into Leon’s neck, ripping his throat out.

Jillion screamed when she saw her mate’s body hit the floor.

‘’You monster!’’ She screeched and ran at Kyro, but Jacob stopped her.

‘’I am going to teach this pack a lesson!’’ Kyro snarled. ‘’You will never mistreat another member again.
