Chapter 13

Brody let out a growl before he threw me onto the bed. I yelped in sudden shock as he climbed on top of me and pinned me to the bed. His eyes were black; his wolf at bay. His body was pressed to mine and his face was almost touching mine. He was breathing hard.

"How dare you" he screamed loudly. "How dare you say you are worthless. You say you are worthless, well that's unfair on me. Because you are not worthless to me. You're worth everything to me. So you saying such horrible things about yourself is unfair to me. Because that makes me think you don't care what I feel. How do you expect me to love you if you won't let me love every part of you; your body, your mind and your soul?"

I didn't reply, I simply looked at him as he breathed heavily. He looked at me for a few more minutes before he got up and helped me up. He took my hand and led me out the pack house and to his cars. He never looked me in the eye the entire drive.

We pulled up at a restaurant ten uncomfortable minutes late
