Chapter 39

By the time I managed to make up with Lennon – after he had screamed at me when I trashed Brody’s car – it was Tuesday. It was he who finally swallowed his pride and apologised, let’s face it I would never be the one to be the ‘bigger man’ as people often put it. My pride was way too important to me – it was a horrible trait I got from my Alpha blood. My brothers were no different.

Tuesday was a hard day for me, because I knew that the next day Brody planned to attack Aplin Moon. Brody remained confident that we had the upper hand, but it didn’t settle the butterflies in my stomach. At one point I had been so nerves I had thrown up my breakfast; Zeke was not happy with me, he claimed it was ‘a waste of the delicious pancakes he had slaved over’. I simply flipped him the bird.

“So what do you want to do today?” Lennon asked after I brushed my teeth again and re-joined them in the lounge.

“Nothing that will stress Brody out, he doesn’t need that right now” I mumbled in reply as I lay do
