The nearby mall was one hour away from Einsworth Manor, and I saw how uncomfortable Caden was while standing in the middle of the baby section because all the salesladies were staring at him with suspicious and admiring eyes while whispering to their co-workers. Even the other moms were looking at both of us like we were some kind of celebrity, and Caden hated the attention.

I wanted to laugh when I saw his face turn red.

“What do you think would suit the baby? Blue or pink?” I asked as I smiled at him.

“I know what you are doing, Giselle, and it’s not funny.” Caden glared down at me and then looked around, careful not to look scary in front of everyone. “And why are you making me choose? You don’t even know if it’s a boy or a girl!”

“Yellow then.” I ignored how upset he was, and then he sighed.

“Fine. Do you think you are punishing me by making me this uncomfortable? We’ll see...” He hissed at me and then went towards the saleslady and talked to her for over three minutes.

At first, I got curious about what he told her until three more salesladies assisted the one that Caden approached and started packing all the yellow stuff that was displayed.

My eyes widened. “What did you do?!” I asked him.

He gave me a side-eyed look and then smirked, “No need to choose. I already bought all the yellow baby stuff, so go back to the car. The saleslady knows what she must do.”

“What?! That’s not how things work!”

“Go back to the car, Giselle,” he hissed at me, giving me a warning look. Scared that he might do something more ridiculous than buy all the yellow things displayed in the baby section, I let Caden lead me to the car park and pouted when he started the engine.

‘How about the things you bought? We’re leaving them here?” I asked with both of my arms folded on my chest, “I can’t believe you just did that, Caden!”

“Did what? I can even buy that whole d*mn mall if you want me to.” His eyes were sharp when he made a short glance at me, and I suddenly just became helpless. Yes, my parents were also rich. But not as crazy rich as Caden Einsworth. He continued, “They are going to deliver it to the address I gave them. Then my men will transport it straight to the manor.”

"Are you too careful about people knowing your address?" I made my voice a little small and cute, yet in a taunting way.

“Stop talking at me like that, Giselle,” Caden warned me once again, but this time, his eyes darkened. Both his hands were on the steering wheel, yet he hadn’t turned the engine on.

“What? You’re starting to regret that you took me from my apartment?” I laughed at him sarcastically and then tilted my head to the side and raised an eyebrow. “Am I making you mad now, Sir Alpha?”

My eyes widened when Caden suddenly leaned closer to me and grabbed me by the shoulders. His lips landed on my soft lips, and he kissed me so crushingly that I was in complete shock and was totally frozen. It felt surreal, but his alluring scent was all over me, giving me the urge to close my eyes and kiss him back. Yet my pride would never let me until he pulled away, and his dark, threatening eyes gazed down at me like he was ready to devour me inside his black, luxurious car.

“That will happen if you keep on annoying me,” he murmured in his husky, sultry voice that made my heart frantically beat inside my chest.

God. What had just happened?

While we were on the way to my doctor, there was a lot of tension between us.  His taste lingered on my lips, and I never dared lick them in front of him, too scared that he would attack me with his savage kisses again.

It was embarrassing that I didn’t get so upset with him after what he did.

The doctor was already expecting us when we came into the hospital. She was unexpectedly young for a doctor, and she was beautiful.

My jealous heart was not comfortable with that woman.

Especially when she hooked her arm around Caden’s arm as they walked towards her clinic with me behind them.

A snarl escaped from my lips as I threw a deadly look at them.

“Oh, Giselle. By the way, this is Jenny Miller. She is going to be your OB-Gyne and will take care of you.” Caden introduced the blonde doctor, who was wearing huge eyeglasses that didn’t fit the shape of her face.

It took me a lot of self-control not to roll my eyes at both of them. I wanted to claw Caden’s face off. Why was he smiling so widely at her when, every time he looked at me, I felt like I was the worst person he had ever met?

“Don’t worry, Miss Sidney, your secret is safe with me.” She smiled at me sweetly for a brief second, and then her bright eyes stared into Caden as they talked about something—something about their high school days or whatever the f*ck it was. I didn’t care.

I just wanted this first checkup to be over, and then I would tell Caden I didn't want her as my doctor.

Dr. Miller asked me a few questions that were a little embarrassing for me and Caden. Did he tell her it was his baby? I had a feeling she knew because she kept looking at him as I answered. Questions like, When did it happen? When was the last time I had my menstruation and other things that made me almost want to cry.

“Okay,” Dr. Miller said, looking at me a little alarmed when she saw the tears brimming in my eyes. “You will be okay, Giselle. I am here to help you. You will be safe with me,” she whispered soothingly as she guided me inside a small room where there was one single bed and an apparatus near it. I got a little scared. My face went pale when I saw on the other side the metal pieces of equipment, especially a clamp-like thing on top of the metal table.

When I glanced at Caden, he was a lot paler than me, and I had to restrain myself from throwing that metal stuff on his head.

I was upset. Of course! Why was I the only one dealing with all this pain and fear?!

“Relax.” Dr. Miller smiled. “I am not going to use those things for you. I will just perform an ultrasound to check how the baby is inside.”

She applied a cold, sticky liquid to my belly and began sliding the equipment over it. She showed me the screen and smiled, “Ohhh, what a strong angel! We cannot yet determine the gender, but I assure you, the baby is healthy.”

I didn’t know, but I felt so relieved and pleased that tears fell from my eyes the moment I heard my baby’s heartbeat. And then I unconsciously gazed at Caden’s face, and he was looking at the monitor with a huge smile on his face.

The feeling was new to me. It was like my heart was so full of love that I was scared it might explode in my chest. Emotions flooded me, and I had never felt so happy like this in my whole life, just hearing the heartbeat of the little pup growing inside of me.

I haven’t met him or her yet, but I already love him or her.

Then I wished for a girl.

I wish my baby were a girl.

“Thank you, Jenny. Thank you for helping us.” I heard Caden thank Dr. Miller, and I saw both of them shake hands. I was starting to like her, but then I couldn’t trust that wide smile on her face when she looked at Caden.

“You can trust me with all your secrets, Alpha Caden.” She gave him a small handbook, and I saw their fingers touch again. I felt like all the hairs on my nape stood, feeling very annoyed at Caden’s stupid smile at the lady. “This is her handbook, and her next schedule was already written in there. I will send her the vitamins she needs, and in three months, you will finally hold your small angel.”

I froze. Oh, she knew.

Caden gently guided me back to the parking area, and both of us were silent as we got into his car. I could see that Caden was in a good mood. Was it because of the baby or the doctor?

“What?” He asked when he saw me glaring at him.

“Stop smiling like a goat.” I scoffed at him, and he rolled his eyes at me.

“I always forget you have that awful temper,” he uttered while shaking his head. “But today is a beautiful day, and I am happy that the baby is healthy.”

The beautiful feeling that I felt just minutes ago was replaced by sudden sadness and fear.

Is that all he only cared about? The baby?

I didn’t utter a single word until we got into the manor.

I was too hurt to speak.

  • The Alpha's Runaway Luna   Love Should Exist

“It should be next week or the third week of this month,” Dr. Miller uttered after she checked on me. Caden gazed at me with worry in his eyes, while Marissa seemed delighted by the news that she would finally meet her grandchild any time soon. Caden panicked when I told him my hips were killing me that morning, and so he called Dr. Miller, fearing that I was already in labor.“It happens.” Dr. Miller smiled at both of us. She seemed excited as well about the baby: “It’s called false labor. There will be pain until your body is ready to give birth, Giselle. But if anything happens, like heavy bleeding, you should call me right away.”“Thank you.” Caden smiled at Dr. Miller. Even though something was already going on between me and Caden, my insecure heart still couldn’t handle the jealousy when he smiled at other women in front of me. My wolf and I were that kind of possessive.Dr. Miller kindly smiled at me before she made her exit, and Marissa joined her. I wondered what the two ta

  • The Alpha's Runaway Luna   The Garden

“What are you doing!? ”I found three maids inside the baby's room, taking all the yellow stuff outside. Emilia visited me this morning to check on me, and all I did was embrace her, thanking her for the warning she gave me. After all that, I decided to visit the baby room and was aghast when I saw that the maids had moved all the things that Caden had bought the first time we went outside together.“I am so sorry, Miss. The Regent Luna ordered us to get rid of all this stuff from the baby room. I think she hated the color,” one of the maids replied with an anxious face while carrying the yellow baby bathtub. “We are not even sure where to put all these things.”“You can’t—”“Just put them all in the garage.”My eyes widened as I turned around and saw Marissa behind me. She was tall, so I was forced to look up at her and ask, "Why are you doing this?” I was feeling so upset. “You can’t throw all these things away! Caden bought them for the baby!”“Oh, I am not going to throw them all

  • The Alpha's Runaway Luna   Momster

“No! You can’t force me to go back to that place!” I snarled at the sophisticated lady as she waved her long, sharp fingernails in front of me, like she was trying to intimidate me. Even Madz was wary of her, and I should follow my instinct to not go anywhere near the Regent Luna. My inner wolf told me she was a dangerous shifter, despite her age."How did you know Giselle was here!?" Madz snarled at the old lady. The uninvited visitor laughed, "Oh, that's too easy, darling! The receptionist! She informed me that this young lady entered the hotel. This is Einsworth's property, and you are within our territory, darling! Of course, I would know everything that happens here."It was clear what she wanted. Caden’s mother wanted me back when she gestured to her bodyguards to get me.“Oh, my son has a feisty one here!” She laughed tauntingly while giving me a disgusted look. “I know who you are in Caden’s life, and I can’t let the whole world know this horrible scandal you two made! You hav

  • The Alpha's Runaway Luna   The Regent Luna

I didn’t know what to do.Everything happened so fast.“Here, get in here, Miss,” Emilia whispered with a flustered face, glancing at the back door of the kitchen as if she were scared someone would catch us. “Please go somewhere where the Regent Luna can’t find you! You can’t let her know you are carrying the Alpha’s heir!"I frowned. I wanted to think that Emillia was just overreacting, but I could see the terror in her eyes. The woman she was referring to, who happened to be Caden's mother, was a terrible person. I never knew Caden’s mother, although my dad used to be friends with Caden's dad. She never attended any of my dad’s dinner invitations with the Einsworths. I remember that she disliked attending her husband's business meetings with the other packs. I didn’t know what kind of fate awaited me once she found out about my situation in this household. Will she recognize me as one of the daughters of the Alpha of the Greyfur Pack? And why was there a car outside the main kitc

  • The Alpha's Runaway Luna   Don't Let Her See You

“Caden! You can’t just cuddle with me whenever you want to.”“Why not? ”I bit my lower lip.He was behind me, cuddling me from the back. His arm gently wrapped around my waist as he caressed my baby bump. I felt my pup kicking inside me, like he or she could feel her dad from the inside. The feeling made me smile, though. It brought me some kind of happiness I had never felt before. I felt love in the way he rubbed his fingers on my belly like he couldn’t wait to see his pup. His heir.“Mmm, just let me stay here tonight. This whole day made me worn out, and I need to recharge.” He kissed my nape, which tickled me.I wanted to turn around and look him in the face. I wanted to see his amazing, soft green eyes, despite how exhausted he was. I wanted to stare at his pinkish lips. I wanted to claim them and feel him more, but I knew I couldn’t. It was good to wish for many things, but I knew I would only get hurt in the end.“Fine. Just tonight,” I whispered to him as I stared out the wi

  • The Alpha's Runaway Luna   Love and Anger

“C-Caden?!”Caden approached me and pulled me by my other wrist. My eyes widened as two men gripped me tightly. One who I loved with my whole life but never cared for me, and the other, whom I just met, but was too concerned that he didn't let go of my hand.My mind was blown when I heard Caden say the word ‘wife’. I thought I just misheard it, though I could tell it was his pride as an Alpha and a man that made him say those words. I had never seen him angry like this before. That made me scared that he might do something that might attract people’s attention.“I said, let go of my wife!” Caden hissed between his teeth, giving the guy a deadly glare.I stood between them with horror while exchanging looks with Caden and the stranger. I didn’t know why the man wouldn’t let go of me, though, but I could see the concern in his eyes as he looked down at me with softness and then asked, “Is he hurting you?”My throat suddenly tightened as I answered, “N-No. Please let go of my hand.” I st
