Chapter 1

Mina Wolf....

I looked out of my window, hoping to catch the sight of the full moon.

My insides twist with nerves as fear and dread consumed me.

This was not how I was meant to feel on the night of my mating.

Pressing my hands to my chest, I tried to feel my wolf. She was silent, as she had been for the past thirty days.

Since I found my mate a month ago, my father had put a hold to my wolf, refusing me the nature of shifting.

'My only daughter will be mated the proper way.' He said.

'Not in the woods in the middle of no where. It will be in front of my people.' He said.

I tried to fight him. I really did. But when the urge to shift and mate with Mika grew stronger, father simply locked my wolf within me, forcing her away.

The last thirty days had been horrible. While the full moons pull was no longer a problem, the pain of having my wolf locked away was unimaginable.

But tonight, he'll finally let me shift. He'll finally let me be with my mate, who I've not seen in the last month.

Dropping my arms by my side, I glanced at the mirror and caught my reflection.

Long, sleeveless green dress that matched my eyes, wild red curly hair tamed in to a bun, bare feet... I looked like I was ready to mate.

So why was my heart thundering in the worse way possible?

The door of my room was pushed open and I turned around to see my oldest brother, Atlas walk in.

He took one look at me and knew something was wrong.

"What is it?" He asked, still standing by the door with his hands stuffed in to his jeans.

He sounded worried but there was no trace of emotion on his face, probably why I never felt close to him.

"Nothing." I replied, refusing to share my feelings with a man built like a robot with only a series of questions and responses programed in him.

Atlas regarded me for a few seconds before he nodded his head.

"Come. They're waiting for you." He commented before he turned around and left.

After taking a deep breath in through my nose and blowing it out through my lips, I followed after him and left my room.

The unease never left me as I walked a few steps away from Atlas.

'Be happy.' I warned myself as we stepped out of the main pack house.

Atlas led me over to the large field, where every adult wolf was waiting for us.

My eyes jumped from one person to the next. My father, Haden and my mother, Melissa were wait for me up front and behind them stood my brothers.

Atlas walked over to them and the six stood topless, only in their jeans.

I walked over to my father and mother, who greet me with a proud smile.

What are they so proud of?

Is it because I had finally come of age or is it because I would soon be mated to our Pack's future beta?

I didn't say anything to them, nor did they say anything to me.

Turning towards the wolves of the Red Blood Pack, I waited for Mika to show up.

The air was cold, blowing to its full force. The sudden change did more to unsettle me.

I had one thought in mind and that was to run back to my room, lock the doors and keep what ever it was twisting my guts out.

I waited for Mika to show up but he didn't, just like the excitement I'd been waiting to hit me.

"Where is he?" I heard my mother whisper.

My eyes moved around the crowd, confused at his absence.

Mika should have shown up even before me. And he's not the kind of person to be late or not show up at such an important event.

I glanced back at my father who had a deep frown on his face.

His eyes glazed over and I could tell that he was mind linking someone.

Atlas moved again and walked back to the direction of the main pack house.

My fingers were shaking so I locked them together.

A few more minutes and the crowd broke out in murmurs and whispers.

Then, it hits me.

An an imaginable pain cracked through my skull and I let out a loud gasp before I fell to the ground.

The pain was not mine. It was that of my mates.

My mother came to my side and said something, but I couldn't make out the words. They felt so distant and muffled.

I opened my eyes, tears blurring them but I could see bright dots appearing in the woods.

The dark woods were stormed by them. For a second, I thought they could be fire flies or something. But at closer look, I could tell what they really were.

Eyes

Eyes of wolves staring at each and every single one of us.

The entire pack went on high alert and my mother tried to pull me up to my feet. But my knees were weak.

I could here commotions, father yelling out commands, my brothers getting ready to defend their pack and the rest of the people already in fighting mode.

At the corner of my eyes, I saw Atlas running back to the field, his jeans covered with blood, as were his hands.

"They attacked the main pack house." He yelled.

"Who?" Father growled as he face the woods.

"The Blue Moons."

As soon as Atlas said the name of the pack, the entire field silence. I never knew why, but the Blue Moon pack has never been mentioned here. It's like there's a secret code and if anyone dares to even speak of their names, they'd pay dearly.

"Havoc..." Father called out to one of my brothers, the youngest from my six older brothers. "Get you mother and Mina to the ware house."

He ordered and Havoc didn't hesitate for a second before he moved over to us.

Unlike my mother, Havoc wasn't gentle. He grabbed me by my arm and dragged me up to my feet before he started leading our mother and I to the warehouse.

My breath was frantic. I could still feel Mika's pain but he was alive. I could feel that too.

Only, his pain was dragging me back, turning my knees to jello with each step I took.

"Hurry up." Havoc growled at me as he pulled me by my arm.

Mother was running infront us, her feet carrying her faster than mine were.

She took a turn then stopped, causing Havoc and I to slam in to her.

Havoc steadied me with my arm before he pushed me behind him.

There, a few feet away from us, stood three men.

Two of them looked identical, but the one standing between them was dangerously different.

Mother's breath caught in her throat when the man smirked.

"Havoc, take your sister." She whispered without taking her eyes off of the three men.

All three were drenched in blood but it was not their own.

"Well, well, well... If it isn't Luna Melissa." The middle man growled, causing the other two to smirk along with him. "It's been a while since we met, hasn't it?"

Mother took a step back, her brave Luna spirit getting stripped off of her.

My brother didn't listen to our mother's command. Instead, he let go of my arm and stepped in front of our mother, shielding her with his broad figure.

The move caused the other man to howl out a hideous laugh.

"I wasn't planning on killing your sons just yet but, I guess we can have a little warm up." He commented and the two identical men nodded their heads before they walked in separate direction and tried to circle us.

I turned around but our way was blocked by another man, he too covered in blood.

"Please, Raphael, my children did nothing..." Mother tried to plead. "She wouldn't have wanted this..."

The smirk dropped from the man's face and a darker look too over, making me miss the wild smirk.

It was ten times better that the murderous look.

"It's Alpha Raphael for you, Melissa. And you speak of her again, then I will burn everything you hold dear right before your eyes." He growled.

It wasn't a threat. It was a promise and I felt it radiating through my entire body, sending a shiver down my back.

His blue eyes settled on me and I held my breath.

The wild smirk crawled back to his lips.

"On second thought..." He said, tilting his head to the side to get a better view of me. "I'd like to start with your daughter."

My mother shook her head.

"Run." She whispered to me. They would have heard her but knowing that I can't mind link yet, she had to take the risk.

Havock stood unmoved in front of my mother, ready to defend her. But the other man was still staring at me.

And like the cowered I am, I turned around and ran.

The one man standing behind me didn't try to stop me. But I didn't have the time to stop and think about why he let me go.

I tried to run as fast as I could but the pain was slowing me down.

Loud, angry foot steps rung behind me but I didn't dare turn around and look at who was following me.

Picking my long dress up so it wouldn't trip me, I tried to pick up my pace.

But it wasn't long before someone tackled me to the ground.

I tried to scream but I didn't get a chance at the person rolled me to my back and wrapped their hand around my neck.

I looked up and saw his face loaming over mine, the one my mother had called Raphael.

He looked at me for a few seconds and his eyes turned in to golden amber.

I tried to fight his hand off of my neck but he tightened his fingers.

He leaned closer to my face until his lips were brushing against my ear.

"You'll have to do." He whispered before he pulled away and dragged me off of the ground.
