Logan POV
“It’s clear that Maya has been kidnapped” Marcus words hit me like a punch in the gut and I felt a wave of emotions rush through me. First panic, and then anger. With a growl, I turned and smashed my fist into the wall, leaving a huge hole. “Find her” I snarled, barely recognizing my own voice. “Find her now” Marcus nodded and rushed out of the room, already barking orders at the guards who immediately went into action. I stood there, my chest heaving with anger as my mind raced with possible scenarios. Lucas would pay for this. Oh, he would pay dearly. I took a deep breath, forcing my wolf back under control. I had to think clearly. I couldn’t let my emotions cloud my judgment, not now when Maya’s life was at stake. “Alpha” Marcus voice brought me back to reality and I turned to face him, my eyes narrowing. “What did you find?” I asked, still trying to keep my anger in check. Marcus expression was grim. “The guards have searched the entire castle, but they’ve found nothing. No signs of Lucas or Maya” He revealed and I clenched my fist, feeling my anger and frustration build up again. I thought of all possible places Lucas could have taken Maya and suddenly, a memory surfaced. A hidden cabin in the woods, one that Lucas and I used to sneak off to when we were younger. “Marcus” I called, my voice firm. “Get the men together. We’re going to search the woods” I announced and Marcus nodded before rushing off to gather the men. I took a deep breath as the thought of Lucas harming Maya filled my mind, sending a shiver down my spine. What if we were too late? What if Lucas had already hurt her? I clenched my jaw, pushing the thoughts away. No, he wouldn’t dare touch her. After assembling my men, we went into the woods, moving swiftly and silently through the trees. And with every step we took, I could feel my anxiety growing. As we approached the cabin, I motioned for my men to fan out and surround it. The cabin was too quiet, too quiet and I narrowed my mind. Lucas was a dangerous man and also a very cautious person. All his plans were carefully planned out and this, was no exception. This was too easy. Lucas wouldn’t go down without a fight, he would have a backup plan, and possibly even traps set up to take us down. I signaled to my men to be extra cautious as we went forward, our eyes scanning the quiet surrounding. As we got closer to the cabin, I sniffed the air, trying to pick up any scent and to my relief I caught Maya’s scent. It was faint but it was definitely her. But then I caught another scent and my eyes narrowed. Lucas’s scent. We approached the cabin door and pushing the door open, was greeted with nothing but darkness. It was empty. My eyes scanned the space for any sign of Maya or Lucas but there was nothing. Just an empty, dark cabin. I frowned, my mind racing with many possible scenarios. Where was Maya? Had Lucas move her already? I signaled to Marcus to search the cabin, to see if he could find any clues and as he moved around, I noticed a small piece of fabric caught on the door. I walked over to it and with one look at the fabric, I could tell it came from Maya’s clothing. I clenched my fists beside me, feeling my anger and frustration growing. Was I too late? I sniffed the air again and the scent of Maya filled the entire Cabin. She was here, she was definitely here, now where the hell had he taken her to? I ran my fingers through my hair in frustration, anger coursing through my veins. As I scanned the cabin more closely, my eyes landed on something that made my heart sank. Droplets of blood on the floor. I walked over to the bloodstains and examining them, I could tell it belonged to Maya. My anger and worry intensified as I realized Maya must have been hurt while she was here. I could see that the bloodstains were dried which meant she just had been injured some time ago. How badly was she hurt? And where the hell had Lucas taken her to? Just as I opened my mouth to speak, I heard some faint noise coming from outside. It sounded like footsteps, moving quickly towards us and I stood up from the floor, going on high alert. I could tell Marcus also heard the noise as he stopped searching and stood still, signaling my men to do same. The footsteps grew louder and I positioned myself near the door, my eyes fixed on the entrance. The footsteps stopped right outside and for a moment there was silence. Then, the door creaked open and a figure stepped inside. I snarled and immediately pounced on the figure, but as the figure came into light, I realized it wasn’t Lucas. It was one of his pack members. “Where’s Lucas?” I growled, my hands wrapped tightly around the pack member’s throat. “I…I don’t know” He stammered and I growled, my grip on his neck tightening. “Don’t lie to me. Where’s Lucas” I repeated, my eyes blazing with fury. “Looks like you’re having a rough day, Logan” A voice boomed from outside and turning towards the direction of the voice, my eyes was met with Lucas’s smirking face. “Lucas” I snarled, snapping the neck of the pack member and his body fell with a thud. “You’ve got a lot of nerve showing your face here” I growled, my voice low and dangerous. Lucas chuckled, taking a step closer to the cabin. “I’m just getting started Logan, you’re beginning to underestimate me “ “Where’s she? Where’s Maya?” I growled but Lucas’s smile only grew wider. “Oh Maya? She’s safe, for now” He muttered, his voice filled with sarcasm. “In fact, you’ll be begging to see her very soon”Logan POV My eyes blazed with fury as I lunged at Lucas but he was too quick, dodging out of the way just in time and I crashed into a tree.Lucas laughed, his voice echoing through the forest as he came to stand a few inches from me.“You’re so predictable Logan”He mocked.“You’re going to have to do better than that if you want to save Maya”His words fueled my anger and I pushed myself off the tree, my eyes fixed on Lucas’s smirking face.“Where’s she?”I growled and he smiled wider.“Oh you’ll find out soon enough”He taunted. “But for now, let’s just say she’s occupied”I took a step closer to him, my fists clenched at my sides.“You’re going to regret playing games with me Lucas”I snarled.Lucas’s laughter died down, but the smile remained.“I’m just getting started Logan”He muttered, his voice dripping with malice.“Men!!”Lucas’s voice rang through the forest and I heard the rustling of leaves as several wolves emerged from the trees. They were Lucas’s men and their eyes g

Mia’s POV The footsteps stopped right outside the passageway, and I held my breath, hoping not to be seen. Then, to my relief, they begun to retreat, fading away into the distance and I let out a slow breath as a wave of relief wash through me.I waited until the footsteps were gone and then I turned my attention back to finding a way out. I looked around the passageway, trying to figure out where I was. Which direction should I go?I took a step forward, my heart beating loudly in my chest as my eyes scanned the walls for any sign of an exit.As I moved forward, the passageway began to curve and I followed it, my hands outstretched in front of me. My fingers brushed against the walls as I used them to guide myself through the darkness and soon enough, I came to stand in front of another door.Pushing the door open, I found myself in another long, dark corridor and I took a deep breath and began to move forward again. As I walked down the corridor in darkness, I tripped over somethin
Mia’s POVWhen my consciousness returned, I found myself lying on the bed. I tried moving but my body felt heavy and my head throbbed with pain. The pain in my head made my vision blur and I winced, closing my eyes as I tried to recall how I ended up here. “You’re finally awake”A voice boomed beside me and I flinched as I turned towards the direction of the voice.“Lucas”I whispered staring at the man who sat leisurely on the chair beside my bed, his brown eyes fixed on me as if watching my every move and that was when it all clicked. How I ended up here. I was kidnapped.“How are you feeling?”He asked taking a sip from the glass of wine in his hand and I turned away from him. How could he think i would be okay after being kidnapped by him.I glared at Lucas, my mind racing with anger and fear. “How am I feeling?”I repeated, my voice shaking with anger.“You broke into my room, kidnapped me and now you’re asking how I’m feeling?”I yelled.Lucas expression remained calm, almost
Logan…Immediately he left, I broke into action, grabbing Maya's hand and leading her out of the ball.I knew Lucas, and nothing good ever happened when he showed up. Like me, he was really ruthless and that was one of the things I had loved about him when we were friends. And if he said he had a gift for me tonight, then it meant something bad was going to happened at the end of the night. And I wasn't about to find out what it was.“What’s going on Logan?”Maya asked as I dragged her down the hallway."Stay in your room tonight. And do not come out." I said to Maya the moment we got to our room and she nodded as she stepped inside the room. I could see the confusion on her face as she stared at me and I sighed.“Please Maya”I pleaded. She looked like she wanted to say something, but she decided against it and went inside before closing the door."What do you want me to do Logan?" Marcus asked as we headed towards my study, glancing at me cautiously. "Do you want me to handle him?"
Logan's PovThe moment I had announced the news to her, that a banquet would be held in her honor tonight, I had arranged for a gown to be prepared for her--a gown which I had personally handpicked myself. It was the only one left in the kingdom and actually worth quite a lot of money--but even then, I had gone ahead to purchase it without a second thought, knowing Maya would look absolutely stunning in it.And she had not proved me wrong. She had appeared before Marcus and I, looking more beautiful than ever though my expression remained neutral. Her beauty wasn't just skin-deep. It radiated in every movement-every glance. Her hair, dark as night, framed her face in a way that got me excited, and that dress... She looked like a sin waiting to happen. For a second, I froze--stunned by the sight of her, but I quickly regain my composure and walk up to her."You look stunning." I had said to her and before long, we were walking down towards the ball and for some reasons, I was strangely
Mia’s POV The day soon came to an end and soon enough it was time for the banquet. I was dressed in a luxurious dinner gown that the Alpha himself had prepared for me--a deep blue gown adorned with silver beadings that shimmered under the soft lightening. The gown hugged my slender figure tightly, the off-shoulder neckline revealing just enough to be alluring while still remaining elegant. My hair, styled into loose waves, cascaded down my back, a few strands framing my face. I'd chosen simple, yet elegant diamond earrings and a matching bracelet. And now, as I stared at myself in the mirror, I could feel myself practically glowing.I had always known I was beautiful, but tonight... tonight felt different. Magical. The maids helped with my makeup, making me more beautiful than I already was and I smiled as I stared at my reflection in the mirror."My lady, his Lordship is ready and waiting for you downstairs." The maid's voice broke me out of my trance, and I turned to find her stan
Mia’s POV When I woke up the next morning, few maids were already in the room but there was no sign of Logan and I sighed in relief. I didn’t think I was ready to see him again that morning, especially not with the kiss that happened last night.“Good morning my lady”One of the maids greeted and I smiled, trying to shake off the lingering thoughts of Logan and the kiss.“Good morning”I replied, sitting up on the bed.“The alpha wants you to join him for breakfast, my lady” she revealed and I felt a knot in my stomach at the mention of Logan and my mind wandered back to the way he had kissed me. I felt a blush rise to my cheeks as I remembered the way my body had responded to his touch and I shivered.Pushing the thoughts away, I got out of the bed as the maids began to help me get ready for the day, helping me bathe and getting dressed into a beautiful gown and few minutes later, I was all ready.Staring at my reflection in the mirror, I smiled in satisfaction at the way the dress
Logan POV I stepped into the dimly lit room and my eyes were immediately drawn to the woman sitting at the very edge of the bed. She was now dressed in a silky night gown and her hands were clasped tightly on her laps as she shifted nervously on the bed. I could hear the fast beating of her heart in her chest even from across the room and I chuckled silently. What was she thinking? Was she scared of me? Closing the doors behind me, I took some steps towards her and with each step I took, I could sense her anxiety growing. I came to stand in front of her and she slowly lifted her head to look up at me, her green eyes holding the mixture of fear and anticipation as she stared right back at me. “Maya” I said in the most softest way possible, even surprising my self and she forced herself to smile, her lips trembling with fear. “You’re trembling” I pointed out, my eyes narrowing. “My lor…” “Logan” I corrected. “Call me Logan whenever we’re alone” I muttered and
