Chapter 23

EMMETT POV

When I see blood slightly coating Lisa's legs, all common sense flees my body. I feel like I killed her. She explains the blood quickly to me, and my past knowledge returns. I took sex ed with the mating class. I knew a woman's first time could result in bleeding. But seeing my love injured due to me is heart-wrenching. 

I scoop her up gently and take her to my jet tub. I get the water running after setting her on the toilet. I wet a small grey washcloth and begin to wipe her off. She sighs softly at my pampering. All her emotions are rushing through me, and I love it. 

She feels love, happiness, and contentment. And all her emotions echo mine. I love being tied to her. Her mark isn't healed yet, so I don't know what symbol the moon goddess will bestow our bond, but I can't wait to see the tattoo-like mark. I know it won't be complete because she can't mark me in return, but it is still exciting. 

I plug the tub after getting th
