ELENA’S POV,

The moment Ryan’s lips touched mine, the world around me blurred into nothing.

It wasn’t supposed to happen, my mind screamed it over and over, but my body betrayed me. Even though my brain sent the signal to push him away, my muscles didn't follow the orders. My body was moving against nature itself, and something like that wasn't supposed to happen.

Every nerve in my body felt raw, alive, like electric sparks were running under my skin. The taste of his lips, and the familiar warmth of his body, they hit me harder than I was prepared for. It wasn't the first time he was kissing me, yet, it felt new everytime our lips met. There was something in the way he kissed me, which was different every single time.

I had to remind myself that this wasn’t Julian, because Julian’s kisses had always felt rehearsed and controlled, like something he was giving rather than something he was sharing with me. Maybe that's why I was looking for the same from Ryan, not knowing that a normal

ELENA'S POV,“I do. I want you to love me tonight, President Ryan.”Once the words left my mouth, his muscular arms circled me without wasting a second. I took a deep breath, filling my lungs with his strong musky scent. There was a comfort in knowing that it was Ryan, someone I could trust with my body.As he pulled me closer, I melted into his arms, and when he went to kiss me once again, my lips parted on their own. I allowed his tongue to explore the inside of my mouth with ease. There was a new feeling in my heart that overtook my fears and confusion, and corrupted whatever morals I had left.Yet, I didn't hate feeling like that. I thought I would, but I didn't. There was a comfort in his arms, and a thrill in knowing that my actions were considered forbidden by many. I apologized to Ollie in my heart for sharing my bed with her father and focused on the man on top of me.“Is this okay?” he questioned, shifting himself a little before his hands made contact with my body. “Or is i

ELENA'S POV,I pressed my back against the door, my chest was heaving as I felt him against the door. And despite everything happening in my head, I tried to silence the storm that was ready to destroy me from the inside. I felt weak. My lips still burned from his kiss, and no matter how hard I willed them to stop, my fingers trembled like leaves under the spell of the wind. Then came the knock. It was initially low, almost gentle.“Elena.” His voice was muffled through the door, but it was steady, and I could hear the edge of urgency behind his words. “Open the door.”I squeezed my eyes shut, shaking my head even though I knew he couldn’t see me. Whereas, my wolf wanted me to open the door and give him a chance to explain, to convince me that we could work. She craved him badly because the void left after Julian, and the absence of the mate bond, was tormenting her. She wanted another person, someone to connect with.‘Don’t do it. Don't let him in,’ I told myself. ‘Don’t make this ha

  • The Alpha's Unworthy Luna    CHAPTER 66: HEAT

Ryan’s POV,Corbin said something about the food.Since I had known him for years, I was sure that it was most probably a compliment. Honestly, I couldn't tell what words he used. I just nodded my head, pretending to listen, while turning the fork in my hand over and over. I couldn't register anything in my head at all, because my focus wasn’t on him.It was on Elena. She was sitting on the couch beside Ollie, carefully blowing on a spoonful of mushroom soup, before handing it over. Ollie giggled at something she said while passing her the spoon, and Ollie's smile was brighter than a thousand stars. With Elena, my daughter always looked alive, radiant, and confident about herself. But that wasn’t the only reason I couldn’t look away from themThe main reason for that was Elena's scent, which clung to the air around me. It was sweet, warm, and rich, and somehow it reminded me of my childhood. The smell was a mixture of Vanilla, and freshly baked breads. It wasn’t just pleasant—it was a

ELENA’S POV,“I-I should… I should check on the food and prepare the salad,” I stammered, before I even realized the words were tumbling out of my mouth. “Ollie would want dinner soon. It's almost time for her dinner.”Ryan looked at me in confusion, and the smirk he had on his face when he pulled away from the kiss, turned into a frown. He tried to ask... to understand what happened, but I couldn't face him, even though I wanted to kiss him again. Without waiting for his words, I slipped away, practically fleeing into the kitchen.“—Elena,” I heard Ryan call after me, but I didn’t stop or look back. I couldn't, because looking back meant running back into his arms. The kitchen was safe, kind of a neutral territory, but I wasn't completely sure of that.I braced my hands on the island and took a deep breath, but it didn’t slow down the blood rushing through my veins. My lips were still tingling from his touch, and the cheeks were burning. I could still feel the warmth of his breath a

ELENA’S POV,Ollie carefully packed one of her gifts, a plushie bunny she received from Ryan, into a box she had found in the living room cupboard. She was humming to herself as she tied the box with a colorful ribbon, which in itself was a very strange behaviour from her. That's why no one disturbed her; they simply stared at her while she worked. “Is it a gift for someone else?” I asked, looking at Ryan. I thought he must have known if it was something she does every birthday. But Ryan was just as confused as I was, and he shook his head, unsure what was going on. “I have no idea. She had never done this before. She doesn't even open her presents on her birthday, so today has been both confusing and shocking for me.” Once she was satisfied with the result, she held it out with a proud smile. “Why did you pack the gift again?” Ryan asked while walking towards her. He was trying not to sound rude, fearing he might hurt Ollie if she didn't actually like the gift and was packing it
