It was late in the evening when Logan alighted from the limo with a deep frown. He hated using the limo when travelling. He preferred the private jet but Isabel had insisted on the limo, saying she didn't want them to draw attention to themselves.

He helped her down and they walked down the pathway to their mansion. He wasn't in a good mood. He found it hard to believe that Serena chose her friends over her family.

"What's wrong darling? Still thinking about our daughter?" Isabel asked as they entered the large hallway.

"I just can't imagine why she didn't come with us. We're her family." Logan answered.

"She's still hurt, dad." Xavier cut in. "I would be if I were in her place." He understood why his sister chose to remain. She was hurt, and she was grieving.

"Relax dear." Isabel smiled. "Let's give her some time. She just lost Rick and Maria. They've been the only parental figure in her life and we can't just change that in a day."

"She needs to be here with us." Logan insisted. "That's the only way we can make sure she controls her powers. She has come of age and she has no idea who or what she is. She doesn't even know the death of her foster parents was her fault..."

"Dad, don't tell me you're planning on telling her she actually caused her foster parents death." Xavier interrupted angrily. "You're just going to make everything worse. You'll push her away from us."

"Of course not." Logan snapped.

"Enough both of you!" Isabel stopped them before the argument would escalate.

Being the only human in the family, she had a strong control over them. She was tired of the endless bickering between her husband and her son.

"Like I said, let's give her some time to get herself together. Besides, she will start having the dreams soon, and she will need answers. She will definitely come to us".

She walked to her son and gently cupped his face.

"I know you want your sister to be here with you. She will be soon enough, okay?"

Xavier nodded, and she kissed his forehead before walking off to her room.

"Xavier." Logan called to him. "I know you're being protective of Serena. I also want to protect her. She's my daughter too."

Xavier sighed and nodded."I understand, and I'm sorry I flared up."

"Are you still having the dreams?"

Xavier nodded. There was a strange look on his face. "They're getting terrible. Most nights, I can't control my powers. It became stronger after my birthday."

Logan knew this would happen. He only hoped it wasn't already happening with Serena. "I'll have a meeting with the other witches, and the sisters of the night." He concluded. "There should be a way to tone it down."

"Alright." He nodded and walked off to his room.

When Logan stepped into the room, Isabel was waiting for him.

"I don't understand why you have to argue with Xavier all the time." She murmured. "You know how much he has been through since he found out you gave Serena away."

"I know, honey. But he knows I did it to protect her. Let's just forget about this. We will give Serena some time. She's matured enough to know the right thing to do."

He walked towards her and pulled her into his arms. Twenty years already in marriage and he was still crazy about her.

"Xavier reminds me so much of you when you were young. Being so overprotective of me." Isabel smiled as she gazed lovingly at her husband.

She remembered when he defied his own parents to be with her, even when he knew witches and humans were never supposed to be together.

Logan smiled. He remembered too. He leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips.

"Let's go have dinner." He murmured.

...

After the Michaelsons' left, Serena's mood turned sour. She had to push her plans about telling her friends everything to another day.

She had thought of calling Jayden to keep her company, but she just wanted to be alone. She needed to think.

After having dinner, she climbed into her bed and fell asleep almost instantly.

In her dream, she was running through the forest. She didn't know why but she felt like she was being pursued. She risked a quick look over her shoulders but saw no one.

Yet the urge to keep running spurred her on and she increased her pace. She was in a long white dress and her purple hair whipped around her face with the wind.

Soon she was out of breath and she collapsed under a tree. She drew in deep breaths as her heart hammered violently within her.

Wanting to take a rest, she closed her eyes as she began to breathe regularly again.

Her legs were tucked beneath her and rested her head on the giant tree.

Suddenly she heard a twig crack. Her eyes flew open and looked around in terror. The strong feeling of being watched settled on her and she hurried to her feet.

She tried to speak but it seemed her throat was clogged. She couldn't make a sound. Suddenly a creature flew out of the dark. It was pale and almost transparent, with blood red eyes and black charred teeth.

It screeched loudly, flying in a terrifying speed towards her.

Serena couldn't bear the screeching sound and she covered her ears. She tried to scream but she couldn't make a single sound. As the creature lunged at her, she raised her hands in a defensive stance and suddenly, a flash of light burst forth from her fingertips.

It hit the creature and it exploded. Serena stood back, her eyes wide with shock, wondering what just happened?

A wave of dizziness washed over her and she slid to the ground, her vision turning blurry. From the corner of her eye, she saw two more creatures emerging from the dark as they flew towards her to finish her off.

Suddenly a giant dark figure blocked her path. The figure moved so fast that she could hardly see it.

The next thing she knew, the creatures exploded.

She tried to keep her eyes open so she could see her savior, but she was slowly loosing her consciousness.

The last thing she saw before she blacked out were two red eyes, glowing eerily.

...

She jerked awake with a scream and sat up in bed. Sweating profusely, her breaths coming out in harsh pants.

"It was just a dream. Just a dream." She whispered to herself until she felt calm.

Throwing the covers off, she got off the bed. She needed to take a shower to cool her head.

She turned on the light, and froze.

Her room was a disaster.

The window had been shattered, the floor littered with glass shards. Her reading table was broken and strewn about. Her mirror was cracked beyond repair, her curtains torn to shreds. It was a terrible sight.

"What the hell happened?" She whispered unbelievably.

Everything had been fine when she went to bed. It couldn't have been a burglar because she would have known if someone had broken in. The house alarm would have woken her up.

She checked her bedside table for the time, but the clock wasn't there. She found it in a corner of the room, in pieces.

The only safe thing was her phone. She picked it up from the bed and checked the time.

3:15am.

Almost daylight. With the dream she just had and the state of her room, she couldn't go back to sleep.

She climbed her bed and huddled under the blankets, wide awake until she heard the cheerful chirping of birds announcing the birth of another day.

Three years later... Serena sat in the garden behind the house and watched her children play around. Her first son Jack, named after Kendrick's gamma was a spitting image of his father. He had the dark coloured hair of Kendrick with a wide purple streak on the side and her silver eyes. Even in his young age, he was already showing signs of a great warrior. Right now, he was in a playful duel with Rohan, Xavier's son. The two fought with plastic swords and giggled as they ran around the garden, charging at each other, looking so happy and carefree. Jack would sometimes run towards her for safety from his cousin Rohan before running off again. Her eyes followed him around, filled with so much love and pride. She couldn't have asked for a better son. And his twin sister, Anastasia sat beside her in the shade of an apple tree. She chattered to herself as she played with her numerous dolls and mini tea cups and pots. A massive dollhouse was beside her, almost a

In the end, Serena finally understood why Anastasia told her Kendrick alone would be able to save her from the darkness. Anastasia knew if Kendrick's life was threatened by the darkness, she would do anything to save him. And saving him would in turn save her. She had no idea how the words escaped from her mouth and she told Anastasia so. After banishing the darkness, Anastasia had appeared to Serena to congratulate her for fulfilling the prophecy. "If I had known I only had to speak to the darkness for it to leave me, I would have done that a long time ago",Serena said to her. "And how would you have wielded the sword of death?",Anastasia asked. "Everything that happened was written before time. And it happened for a reason. The darkness needed to be in you so you could use the sword to defeat Andromeda". "Where is she now?",Serena asked. "Her soul has been sent back to the underworld",Anastasia said. "And she won't be barga

Thunder struck the earth as Serena spun in the air and slammed the sword into Andromeda's chest. Andromeda's eyes widened as she felt the sword sinking deep into her chest. She could feel that it was not an ordinary weapon. It was a weapon of mass darkness, stronger than the one within her. Realization dawned on her. The chosen one had deceived her again. Blood spluttered from her mouth and she stared in shock at Serena who stared back at her with a triumphant look. "How....?",she whispered hoarsely. "You thought you were always a step forward Andromeda",Serena said. "But you never knew when the plans changed behind your back. It's over. Surrender and return to the underworld". Andromeda bared her teeth and gripped Serena's throat. She wouldn't go down without a fight. "IF I'M GOING TO THE UNDERWORLD, YOU'RE COMING WITH ME!",she screamed. A dagger appeared in her hand and she raised it to stab Sere

"Are you sure this would work?",Serena asked after Melody finished explaining her plan. "If Andromeda discovers it, it's over for us. We need to make it foolproof". "Trust me Serena",Melody said. "This will work. Just do according as I tell you to". "Alright",Serena said. She turned towards the door and felt it with her palm. "We just have to find a way to get out of this room". "You could bring it down with your powers",Melody suggested. Serena took a deep breath and focused her spells and energy on the door. Nothing happened. She tried again, this time harder but still nothing. Sweat appeared on her forehead with the amount of energy she was using to bring down the door and yet, nothing happened. "What's wrong?",Melody asked. "I don't know",Serena said breathlessly. She was panting hard with the effort she used on the door. "My spells aren't working". "Could it be because of

"KILL THEM ALL!",Andromeda screamed to her army. There was an uproar and the black wolves took off, eye gleaming with evil darkness, their fangs dripping with black blood. "ATTACK!",Kendrick yelled and shifted into his enormous beast. He looked different;his fur was mixed with gold and he was larger than his previous size. His eyes burned with silver fire and his claws elongated, ready to tear into his enemies. His fangs throbbed, wanting to bite down and just kill. [Protect the Luna],Leo yelled to the warriors through the mind link. It was a suicide move as Andromeda said. They knew they were greatly outnumbered but still, they chose to fight. Protecting the Luna was their priority and as they said, they would gladly give their lives to protect her. The battle began. The black wolves clashed against the lycans in hot combat. Xavier and Tabitha were not left out. Xavier was fueled with rage as he remembered how Cassie was brutal

"Jack",Kendrick called in a serious voice. "Take the remaining lycans and form a border around the perimeter. Make sure you all stay within the barrier protecting it. Hold Andromeda back for as long as you can". "Yes Alpha",Jack said. "Wait, what about Leo?", Tabitha asked in a shrill voice. "Where's Leo?". "The Beta stayed back to hold back the witch's dark creatures and give me enough time to escape",Crane said. "But they caught up with me. I was lucky to escape with my life". Tabitha turned instantly and made for the door. "Tabitha wait!",Xavier said and ran after her. He caught her arm and swung her around. "I'm going to find Leo",she said. "Let go off me". Suddenly there was a loud explosion. Men shouted outside and the snarls of a thousand creatures could be heard. "She's here",Serena whispered. "JACK!",Kendrick yelled above the sound of the explosion. "FIND LE
