The Alpha's fated luna

“Have you ever done anything right in your life?!”

With her head lowered, Rose quickly said to her sister, “I'm so sorry, I didn't know you were there.” She apologized while on all fours.

Having been instructed to clean the house thoroughly, Rose diligently scrubbed the floors. Today, they were expecting a very important and powerful guest. She might as well sign up for her death if even a single speck of dirt was found anywhere in their home that day.

“Right, you've always had a tiny brain and bad eyesight. You know what? I will not let you ruin this day for me,you bitch!” Amber, Rose's elder sister said in a haughty tone.

“I already said sorry, Amber,“ Rose reiterated, ”I didn't mean to splash water on you.”

It would seem strange that Rose was being mistreated by her younger sister, but such was her unfortunate fate. Alpha Williams might have two daughters but they loved Amber, and despised her.

The way they treated Rose in the Hilly pack, one would mistake her for an Omega and never in their wildest imagination, the Alpha's daughter.

Rose couldn't help but wonder who this visitor was. Just what kind of influence does he have that has made Alpha Williams go all out in his efforts to greatly entertain and please him? She was greatly curious.

Amber would know of course, but Rose wouldn't dare ask her. Moreover, even if she does know, she has to make herself invisible once the guest arrives. That would be after doing her duty, of course.

You know, Rose would give anything! And she meant everything! Just to get a little of the treatment given to her sister.Otherwise, why give birth to her in the first place if this was how they would treat her?

While this mansion might feel like home to Amber, to Rose, this was hell on earth. The Hilly pack was a prison she was thrown into without even knowing her crime. She didn't understand why they hated her. Why her parents loathed her and even though she was the Alpha's daughter, the Hilly pack barely acknowledged her existence.

Rose had a way of distracting herself from her family's treatment of her, and it was engaging in conversations with her inner wolf, Savina.

Whatever prophecy her Nana said the seer saw on the day she was born, it didn't make her feel any special. Especially on a day like this. Nonetheless, Rose didn't fall into despair. One day. Just one day, all this would surely end. She hoped.

After cleaning the floors, serving her mother’s coffee, helping Amber get dressed, and preparing the dishes, she got into a new dress to serve their visitor when they arrive.

In her room, Rose stepped into the bathroom, and stood in front of the sink, with a mirror placed above it.

As she looked at her reflection, all that stared back at her was a girl with blonde hair, eyes that were crystal blue and pink curvy lips. Her face was more lovely and perfect than most females she knew, so why can't her parents love her the same as her sister, Amber.

Savina, her inner wolf answered, ‘Their loss, Rose. You are too pretty, ambitious, talented, to be controlled.’

Rose smiled at her wolf's attempt to comfort her. Then she confessed to her, ‘Savina, I feel strangely thrilled and apprehensive today. As if something is about to happen, I just can't explain it.’

‘well, who knows? Perhaps today is that day?’

And by “That day”, Rose knew what her wolf meant and it made her heart race faster. The day she met her mate and left this godforsaken pack.

‘I can use a mate, you know,’ Savina teased her.

‘I am not worthy, you know?’ Rose said with tension. ‘what if my mate doesn't like me? What if my fate with my mate turns out worse than my fate here?’

‘I understand your fears, Rose. But if our mate dares maltreat you, I'll claw his eyes out. ‘ her wolf tried to assure her.

Rose couldn't help but burst into laughter. This was all she needed. She felt a little better now.

‘Thank you, Savina.’ Rose smiled.

‘You're welcome, always.’ Savina answered.

Knowing she would be needed soon, Rose finished up quickly and went down to the kitchen to join the preparation of dining and ensure everything was properly set before the arrival of the guest.

Just then, Luna Edith called for her coffee and Rose served her.

“Rose,” Luna Edith called her and she answered, “Yes, Luna.”

She never answered her by the title of “mother,” not unless she wanted a slap on her face.

“Amber will have her mate today from the most powerful pack, don't ruin it for us,”she warned her.

For some strange reason, Rose felt this tightening feeling in her chest but she ignored it.

“Yes Luna, I won't,” she replied instead and left.

‘I feel like clawing out her eyes one of these days,’ said Savina as soon as they were out.

‘No, that's my mother ,'Rose rebuked savina.

Edith was never a good mother to her.

Hilly pack only knew about Rose the day she was born and the few years Nana took her along with her wherever she went, before her lovely grandmother passed on.

Her father, Alpha Williams has always lived under the shadow of his wife. He has never strongly stood up for her before his Luna, Edith Williams.

It didn't take long before the entrance to the Williams compound opened and a convoy of exotic cars drove in. The doors were opened, and Alpha Edwin stepped out, followed by his brother and entourage.

Rose knew she didn't stand a chance with the most handsome, eligible bachelor in all five packs, with his Silverstone pack being the top.

Yet Savina became excited once she saw Edwin to Rose's dismay.

Unknown to Rose, at the same time Benai, Edwin's inner wolf tugged at his heart. Just like Rose, they had been restless all day and knew something was about to happen.

While all these were happening, Rose watched from the windows until it was time for her to do her duty.

At the dinner for their guests, Rose served their guests alongside Martha, one of the servants.

Everything was going on fine until Rose got close to Edwin, and their eyes caught.

It was as if the world suddenly paused and the breath was knocked out of her lungs.

Benai and Savina connected immediately and did a happy dance.

God, he was her mate…..
