LOGINRemington
Surprising Rochelle and making sure the entire world knows my intentions towards her were my only thoughts. The closing of a door had me turn and there was my Rochelle, her natural beauty stole my breath away and my mind went blank. The scene that unfolded next as Monica launched herself at me and I helplessly watched Rochelle walking away had me livid.
My jaw clenched as Monica peeled herself off me and grabbed the flowers, sniffing them. “There beautiful, Remington, thank you.”
I tried to move away from her, but she hooked her arm around mine, “walk me to my next class,” she leaned into my ear, “I’m still a bit shaken from last night,” she whispered.
My eyes locked with Linda’s, and she snorted turning her nose in the air and spun on her heels, walking in the same direction that Rochelle had gone. I spoke through gritted teeth, “fine.”
Monica’s eyes twinkled up at me, “you’ll give me a ride home to won’t you,” she whispered, “I don’t want to walk through the forest alone,” she pouted.
My brows furrowed, “sure.”
She sniffed the flowers, “Thanks, you’re my sweetheart,” and walked into her last class.
I leaned against the wall pulling out my phone and sent a text to Jake, “find Rochelle, make sure she’s coming to my party.” I walked off to my next class.
Sitting in history, staring out the window into the forest my mind wanders to last night. I know she’s angry and only the goddess knows how long she waited for me at that dock. My plans to meet her had gone horribly wrong. As I walked through the forest last night I heard a female scream. I couldn’t ignore it, so I dropped the flowers and invitation and ran towards the destressed female. I had no idea it would take me 3 hours to calm Monica down. How she ended up in such a precarious position was beyond me, but here she was with torn clothing, screaming that she had been attacked by two males. I couldn’t leave her, she was crying, trembling with fear as I held her in my arms to soothe her before having to carry her home.
My phone vibrated in my pocket, and I looked at Jakes response, “Roe is upset and not coming to your party.” My wolf, Xander, pushed forward, a growl tore from my throat as I stood quickly, the chair flew behind me crashing into the wall and I stormed out of the classroom.
Entering the packhouse with only one intention, I needed this to stop, yes, I heard the rumors, but I didn’t think Rochelle would take them seriously, my mistake. My mother’s voice called out, “you’re home early, did something happen at school?”
I stopped my steps and closed my eyes, trying to reign in my wolfs fury, my hands were flexing at my side, as my mother approached. Her hand gently patted my upper arm, “Remington, son, what’s got you so upset, tell me.”
My eyes snapped open to see my mother’s eyes full of concern. My lips formed a tight line, “I’m fine, just need to speak with dad.”
Her eyes twinkled just at his name and there it was, her love for him, shining like the brightest star in the heavens, “of course.” She hooked her arm with mine, “come, I’d love to see him too.”
“Has it been an hour already,” I chuckled. Watching my parents all my life as they swoon over one another has shown me what having your fated mate is like.
She knocked on the door and he called out immediately, “Enter, my love.”
We entered his office, my father, Alpha Maxwell, smiles as his gaze falls upon her, “My Luna,” he pushes himself out of his seat to greet her with a kiss on the forehead. He turns to me, “son?”
My mother turns to leave, “he’s upset and needs to speak with his father, not the Alpha,” she winks and closes the door with a soft click.
He motions me to the seat across from his as he sits back down behind his desk, “what’s wrong?”
My hand runs down my face, “females.”
His boisterous laughter fills the office, “sorry, but you’ve just gotten your wolf, and you have female problems already, really?”
Holding up my hand, “Monica, she’s out of control, dad.”
He nods, “Monica is a pretty girl, smart, charming and of Beta blood, she is worthy of you son, so what seems to be the issue.”
“She’s not my mate, dad and that is the only one I want, not Monica, so can you talk to Beta Kirt, tell him to reign in his daughter and for her to leave me alone.”
He shook his head, “sure, but what if she is or you never find your fated mate, what if Monica is the only suitable choice, then you’ve removed it from the table.”
“Yes, I want her removed from the table, trust me I know what I’m doing,” I nodded at him as I stood heading over to the pile of documents that he leaves for me.
An hour later he stood with urgency, “rogue attack at the east border, we need to get there.”
We ran out of the packhouse shifting as we leapt from the stairs and headed into the forest. My heart was thundering in my chest as Xander snarled, “yes, release for that twit girl that dared to throw herself at us.” I would have chuckled at his description of Monica, but my focus was on the rogues.
As we approached the scene Xander dug into the earth with his paws launching us forward, jaws open and striking one of the rogues in the hind quarter, pulling him off one of our own warriors. Xander’s head snapped to the side flinging the wolf off, but I wasn’t expecting who it was under him. My heart clenched in my chest as I stared at the gapping wound in the man’s throat. Xander spun and pounced on the rogue, tearing him apart, limb by limb. Xander attacked the next rogue, gutting it with his front paws as it leapt in the air. The wolf landed with a hard thud to the ground and Xander ripped him to shreds. My wolf was in a frenzy as he spun looking for his next kill, and I knew why, the warrior was dead, and we knew Rochelle had felt it.
My father’s voice entered my head, “that’s enough, son there gone.”
Xander snarled as he walked over to the dead warrior, sitting on his haunches he howled in pain. My father knelt at the warrior’s side, his head down and his hand on his chest, “you served us well, John, may the goddess receive you and hold you close to her”
Rochelle The intruder moved swiftly out of the way, landing a hard blow to my rib cage before he moved past me. I sucked in as much air as I could as I spun towards the figure and let out a growl, “fucker your all mine,” I lunged again and this time my boot landed on his knee, his stance faltered but he didn’t go down. I backed up, my eyes darting all around me and there was no one to help. My jaw clenched tightly as all my feeling now grouped together inside my heart, the overwhelming sadness, the amount of loss I’d already suffered, the rage built until I lunged towards my attacker with pure fury burning within me and my fist landed on his jaw. My foot kicked him in the solar plexus, his body bent forward, and I spun as the heal of my boot landed between his shoulders. He fell to the forest floor I took out my cuffs and placed them on him. I spun and continued patrolling, catching up with my squad I growled, “fuck all you assholes, you left me back there, I won’t forget your
RochelleMy only thought was damn, he’s so...my wolf decided to finish my thought, “gorgeous, fuckable, droolworthy and not mated.”I growled to her response, “that’s not what I was going to say, unapproachable, distant, aloof, but yea he is good looking.” I opened the door to my room and took a quick shower, dressed and thought about going to the garden, it’s so stifling just sitting in this room and not being able to talk to the other recruits. I picked it up the letter and my heart clenched as I recognized the handwriting. Why is he writing to me now, is it an invitation to the fucking Luna’s ceremony? Is he gloating about how he has the perfect Luna by his side? I threw the letter on my side table and walked to the door and slowly opened it. I headed towards the garden door and before I could step through the opening, his gruff voice came from behind me, “going somewhere?”I spun, “yes, sir, if it’s okay, I just need a bit of air.”His eyes squinted, “okay, but don’t make a
RemingtonAfter seeing the flicker of jealousy in Monica’s eyes, it dawned on me, if I can’t be myself, speak freely in my own home and she refuses to leave, then I’ll have too. Walking into my father’s office and my mother being there was a plus. She politely tried to leave, but I grabbed her hand smiling, “mom, stay I have something I’d like to speak about with both my parents.”She sat down with a look of concern in her eyes, “of course, son, what’s wrong?”I sat back in the chair next to her and smiled, “I need to move out, I’ll take one of the smaller homes that is vacant, or an apartment, but it’s not comfortable right now here and if I want to have a life with Rochelle, it’s impossible for her to be here with me, not with Monica stalking around.”The tension in the room was palpable as both my parents looked at on another my father finally spoke, “this has turned out to be a situation that seems to be tearing our family apart in more ways than one.” His voice was tinged with
RochelleAlpha Christen's eyes went from mine to all around me, “you hear that squad, the squad member you tried to humiliate, and shame is asking mercy for you and is more than willing to accept her punishment for her own actions.” He began pacing, “squad you need to thank Recruit Rochelle for asking for your shoes to be returned to you during training, however I’ll add one better, if you all join in her punishment without any ill feelings towards her, I’ll give you your clothing back as well, your decision.”His voice boomed out, “40 miles, then sparing today, move out.” I moved forward and the thud of the others wearing boots gave my heart a bit of a jolt. I did have to hold back the giggles of them still in underwear with boots on, it did look comical, but I felt the warm swell of pride in my chest. I truly didn’t believe that Alpha Christen would agree to have mercy, especially after he nearly choked me this morning, but I wanted to try. Running 40 miles is nothing at this p
RemingtonMy mother walked into the garden and stared at me from the doorway, shaking her head and then stepped out walking over to me muttering under her breath, “why didn’t you come to me, I’m sure your father told too, but did you listen,” she sat down on the bench in front of me. Her hand clasped in her lap, staring into my eyes, “son, if this girl, Rochelle, means so much to you why haven’t you done the simplest of things to catch her attention, tiny gestures mean the world to any female.” I pushed off the tree and sat down next to her, “what do you mean, I’ve tried and every time I tried it never worked out as I planned it too, somehow it was always taken away and the gesture never got to her, but not from lack of me trying to do it for her.”She chuckled, “so you have sent her heart written love letters, sent her flowers, sent her tokens of your affections and admiration, they do have people who deliver these types of mementos you are aware of that correct?”My own hand hit m
RochelleA lump formed in my throat, Lilly was her name, my favorite flower, my favorite scent was that of a lily. This poor little pup, so small with so much devasting pain already in her little life. I had to do something to relieve her of some of it. A smile curved on her lips, and I shook my head, “no little one, I’m not your momma, I’m so very sorry.” Her eyes that were just filled with joy now filled again quickly with pain as she blinked back her tears, “who are you then, momma needs to come home.” I knew I shouldn’t have come in here, I’m going to be in so much trouble, but this little one’s pain is killing me inside.Kneeling at the side of her bed I brushed her beautiful blonde curls off her face, “my name is Rochelle and I’m one of the recruits your daddy is training, I’m sorry if I scared you.”She nodded, “oh, I thought maybe he found me a momma, he keeps saying he will one day, but he hasn’t,” her tiny bottom lip pouted out and tears fell again from her eyes, “he sa
