"Come here!" he commanded in a low growl, causing me to flinch as my heart sped out of control. "Now!" he added, clearly irritated at my lack of speed in doing what he had asked. I slowly made my way over to his desk, standing so that I was beside him, but just out of his arm reach. I decided I would stand close enough to him to obey his command, but far enough away so that he couldn't hit me. As I stood there, I bit my lower lip, trying to stop it from quivering as I waited in anticipation.
His scent filled my nose, making Reign giddy. His scent was a combination of leather, musk and cedar. It was heavenly, and I could feel it calming my nerves.
