CHAPTER NINE

Lisa woke up early the next day, her heart pounding with a mix of nervousness and determination. She knew she had to make breakfast for George even though she knew she was going to get insulted after doing it but she was determined to rise above it. As she prepared a delicious spread of pancakes, eggs, and fresh fruit, she couldn't help but feel a sense of accomplishment.

George entered the kitchen and he immediately started criticizing the breakfast she had prepared. "These pancakes are too dry, Lisa! Can't you do anything right?" he sneered.

Lisa took a deep breath, trying to maintain her composure. "I did my best, George, please can’t you appreciate everything I do for once?

He scoffed, his voice dripping with condescension.”appreciate what exactly? You are a failure, Lisa”

Her hands trembled, but she refused to let his words break her spirit. "I won't let your negativity define me.

He glared at her, "You think you're so strong, huh? Well, let's see how strong you are when I'm done
