Eve

They stared at me in confusion.

“If you don’t get out of here right now and go to your pack, you will be out of a fucking pack!”

I yelled at them.

“Eve, what are you—“

The rest of Axel’s words were cut off by the ringing of a phone.

His phone.

He pulled it out and looked to Rhys. As soon as he picked up the call, his expression changed.

I didn’t need to hear what the person on the other end of the phone was saying to know what was going on.

Their pack is under attack, and I saw it.

I am never wrong.

My visions are always accurate.

“We are on our way.”

That’s the only thing Axel said to the person on the phone before he ended the call.

“Are we really under attack?”

Rhys asked his alpha, who nodded before looking at me.

“How did you know?”

I wanted to tell him I had powers, but I couldn’t say it.

The last time I ratted myself out for having powers, I ended up giving my powers away and spending the next ten years of my life with a man who had only been using me.

I would be a fool to make the same mistake again.

“I am a Luna! Lunas have abilities!”

I pointed out.

Yes, aside from my powers, it’s only natural that I have some abilities as Luna, but I don’t really have Luna abilities because Knox never completed our mating bond.

Now that I think about it, I think I finally figured out why he never fully mated with me.

He lied and told me that it would be better to complete our mating bond on the day he announces me as his Luna.

That’s why I went ten whole years with him without carrying his mark.

Another reason why we couldn’t have children.

If I don’t have his mark on me, then I can’t have his children.

Why didn’t I think that he did all that to stop me?

The signs were all there, but I ignored them all.

“What are you waiting for? Aren’t you guys going there?:”

I let out.

Five hours. They said it would take five whole hours to arrive at their pack, and by the time we arrive, their pack will already be gone.

Wait a damn minute.

We? There’s no we! I am not going with them.

Why did I even have such thoughts?

We are not a team!

I am alone now, and I will be alone for a while.

I am going to succeed on my own.

With my powers, I don’t need to belong to a pack to succeed.

“Aren’t you guys going to move?”

I could feel the tension coming from both of them but they were not moving, which made no sense.

“Our pack was attacked by a pack of panthers, but the alphas and betas of the neighboring packs already stepped in to help us.”

Axel revealed.

Wow. I didn’t know that different packs still looked out for each other.

Here in the city, all packs are rivals.

No one gives a fuck about anyone who isn’t their pack members.

Heck, they even wish each other harm.

“Eve, come with us.”

Axel said in the softest voice that anyone has ever spoken to me in, and I found myself listening to him.

“Yes, Eve. Please come with us. We don’t want you to be alone. We promise that we won’t bug you about the mate thing. We just want you near us.”

Rhys added.

I shook my head and opened my mouth to say no to them, but then an image of a pregnant woman flashed into my mind.

I gasped in shock.

I knew it was a vision but I didn’t know I could see visions without thinking or touching the person whose vision I wanted to see.

It hasn’t happened to me before.

Maybe because I didn’t have my powers with me long enough to figure everything about it all out.

I had my powers for only six months, and then I met Knox.

I gave it all to him and taught him everything I knew.

Maybe he discovered more and never told me about it.

That bastard.

“Is there a pregnant pack member? Do you both have a mate already? Who both of you already share?”

I asked them.

It would make sense if they already had one mate that they were sharing.

That’s the only way it would make sense that they were okay with sharing me.

“We do have a pack member who is pregnant but she isn’t our mate! She is Rhys’s sister.”

Axel announced.

“We have to leave right now if you want to save her!”

I yelled at them.

Yes, I am going with them. I saw her, and she is already in bad shape.

If I don’t go with them, she might lose the baby and even die.

“Are you coming with us?”

Axel called out to me as I made my way to the door.

“We don’t have time for this and I will still leave after I make sure that she is okay! Lead the way!”

I yelled at them, and they finally started moving.

They rushed to pack up, and soon we were out of the hotel and in their old SUV.

I could only hope that we arrived in time to save not just Rhys’ sister but their pack too.
