EVELYN’S POV
“What's your status, Eve?” A grumpy voice spoke from the earbud attached to my ear while I stared down at the beautiful city lights. “He's coming up right now,” I responded, staring at the transparent elevator carrying a man and his female companions. “Now is your chance,” he added coldly. I smirked before jumping off the terrace, landing on the balcony of a hotel room opposite the target's suite. I placed my backpack on the table, carefully took out a Barrett MRAD, and effortlessly assembled it with a smile plastered on my face. He was probably having fun with his women. Just as I predicted, they opened the curtains wide enough for me to see my target. “Take the shot,” the voice ordered once again. I simply ignored him, staying hidden and waiting patiently. When I finally got a clear line of sight, I pulled the trigger. Soon, the screams of the ladies filled the air. I giggled happily, hurriedly packed the rifle back into the backpack, and hastened out of the room toward the elevator. As soon as I stepped inside the elevator, I worked quickly. I climbed into the maintenance hatch to hide the rifle and changed my clothes. When the doors opened again, I walked out wearing a hotel staff uniform. I moved through the ground floor, slipped into the stairwell, and took the stairs up to the tenth floor where the dead man lay. He had something of ours that I needed to retrieve before the police got a hold of it. Once I reached his floor, I quickly placed a signal jammer on the elevator door to buy myself some time before his companions reached the lobby to alert security. “You've got five minutes to retrieve the file and leave,” the handler instructed. I stepped into the presidential suite and walked straight to the bedroom. The lifeless body of the Assemblyman lay there, ignored as I picked up the black briefcase that held vital information. He had died because he knew too much and was planning on selling information about the Organization to an outsider. The briefcase opened with a click. I took out the documents marked ‘Classified,’ but just when I was about to leave, something caught my attention. “Baker...” I mumbled in a low voice, staring down at a file. It had a picture of me as a little kid attached to it, alongside a photo of a couple. “What are you waiting for, soldier?” the man on the other side barked. I snapped out of it immediately, but I couldn't take my mind off what I had just seen. I quietly took pictures of the file so I could take a better look at it later. “On it,” I muttered, heading for the door. “You've got two minutes to get out of there,” he reminded me. I removed the device jamming the elevator and made it to the fire exit. My smile brightened as I walked out of the building just as the sound of sirens filled the air. I found a black SUV parked on the other side of the street and got in. “Did you get the documents?” the man in the driver's seat asked. I handed him the documents, even though I was dying to ask questions. “These are classified documents of the Organization. I'm sure you know what that means?” It was pretty obvious he had a suspicion, but he kept a stoic face. “Understood.” “Good job, Lieutenant,” he praised, though he was staring at me weirdly. I stepped out of the car once my job was done and headed toward my motorbike, which was parked around the block. I hopped on, put on my helmet, and zoomed off, leaving behind nothing but dust. I lived in a gated community that was highly guarded; only the rich could afford such a place. I pulled up to the garage of my condominium and unhurriedly walked inside my apartment. I headed straight for the wine bar and picked up a bottle of whiskey to celebrate. I did a tiny dance as I turned on the TV. Sure enough, the news of Assemblyman Lee's death was all over the place. Of course, I was still an unknown, wanted criminal. “Did you all a favor,” I scoffed, staring intently at the TV. He was simply a prick who deserved to die. I had merely gotten rid of their trash. I threw myself onto the couch, taking one big gulp from the bottle in my hand, not bothering to change out of my clothes. My apartment was a mess; I rarely had time to take out the trash. My name is Evelyn. I work for an Organization that specializes in weaponizing young girls into deadly assassins and assets for big shots who want to clean up messes. I snapped out of my thoughts when my watch began beeping. It meant I had another assignment. This made me frown; I wasn't supposed to take up another job on the same day as a hit. I decided not to think about it and looked up everything I needed to know about this new job. I picked up my laptop and skimmed through the email, but to my surprise, there wasn't much information on the client. “What?” I mumbled to myself. Soon, my phone began buzzing. “Ready for your next assignment?” The man, whose identity I never knew due to Organization rules, spoke from the other side. “Don't you think it's too sudden? We were told never to draw too much attention,” I reminded him, trying not to sound rude. “This is an important mission, and you know what happens if you fail.” He sternly reminded me of the consequences. “But…” He hung up before I could say anything else. I heaved a sigh, staring at the TV. I couldn't take my mind off the documents from earlier, so I decided to look at the pictures I took. A deep frown settled on my forehead when I realized the couple in the photo might be my biological parents. My lips parted in shock. I thought of the possibility of them being alive. I was happy and confused at the same time. I was yet to understand why the Organization had lied about it. I ran my fingers through my hair, trying to think rationally, but things just didn't add up. I knew I needed answers from HQ. “Calm down, Eve. You've got this,” I whispered, taking deep breaths. I peeled off the pile of clothes clinging to my body, revealing an ugly scar covered by a tattoo, and stood lazily under the shower. I had a bad feeling about this particular mission, but I shrugged off the uneasy feeling. Once I was done getting ready, I decided to go through the information once again. “TK Group,” I mumbled, staring at the gigantic building in front of me. I adjusted my cap and headed toward the entrance of the hotel owned by the TK Group. I took the elevator to the tenth floor, walked out casually, and headed for the equipment room. I came out shortly after, dressed as an employee, and headed toward Room 357. Finally, I arrived. I knocked, holding a tray and a hand towel. “Room service,” I mumbled with a sweet voice. Unfortunately, I got no response, so I decided to try one more time. Suddenly, the door was pulled open. I quietly walked in, on guard, but to my greatest surprise, it was actually a kid. A freaking kid! I quickly lowered my weapon, looking at the harmless boy. “Are you alone?” I asked with a frown. He nodded innocently. I heaved a sigh and hid my gun behind my back. “Am I in trouble?” he asked curiously. I shook my head and forced a smile. There was absolutely no way I was going to kill a kid. He looked about eight years old. I looked around the room curiously and found a shelf where a few documents sat. I began going through them immediately. When I stumbled upon a familiar document, I stepped back, pressing a palm against my lips in shock. I turned to the kid and crouched down to his level to ask him a few questions. “What's your name?” I asked, still shaken from what I'd seen. If only I knew. “Louis Dexter,” he spoke innocently. My eyes widened in surprise as realization dawned on me. But before I could duck, I was suddenly incapacitated by a taser. It was a trap! I glanced over at the once-innocent kid, but his expression had changed into a devilish grin. The Organization was built on lies and deceit. “Take her away.”THIRD PERSON POV"And what about money? We can't run without money," Ivy said, panic creeping into her voice as she thought of a way to convince her mom. "We'll take what we can and sell whatever we need to. Jewelry, clothes, anything," her mother said with a tone of finality. "We don't have time, Ivy. We need to be gone before Rosetta comes for us.""I'm not running away," Ivy stated, her voice firm despite the fear that clung to her every word. "The farther I am from Williams, the closer he gets to her. I can't lose to her, Mom. I didn't lose to the real Rosetta, and I won't lose to this fake one."Mrs Glenn's brows creased in confusion as she turned to her daughter and she stopped pacing. "What do you mean by 'real' and 'fake' Rosetta?" she asked, her tone laced with confusion and a growing interest.Ivy took a deep breath, and turned to her mother with all seriousness"It's true. That girl is not Rosetta. She's someone else, pretending to be her. Probably for the fame and money.""
THIRD PERSON POVEvelyn's eyes slowly opened the next morning. The room was bright with sunlight, and for a moment, she didn't remember where she was or how she got there. All she could feel was pain. Then, the memories of the last night rushed back. She felt her heart beat faster as she remembered being in the Van with Bruce and his stupid men, and then she was taken to that hotel and met with Amira again. She tried to sit up, but her head spun making her dizzy, and she lay back down with a groan. "You're awake," a deep manly voice said. Evelyn turned her head and saw Williams sitting by the bed. He had a serious look on his face, so serious that you couldn't even guess his thoughts at all. "How do you feel?" he asked."Like I've been run over by a truck," she said, trying to make her voice sound light, but she was still feeling weak. Williams stood up and poured her a glass of water from a bottle on the nightstand. "Drink this," he said, his voice gentle yet stiff. She could tell he
THIRD PERSON POVThe look in her eyes were those of a sly wolf about to feast off it's prey. "Rosetta, just bear with it a bit longer. The physician is on her way here." He said frustratedly."But I can't... I... I don't know what's happening and you look.. so..""You'll regret this by morning, and now I'm ordering you to go sit your ass back down or I seriously will punish you." He said with a warning gaze. Rosetta ignored his cold tone as her gaze landed on his lips. "Sit down n-"He was suddenly cut off by a pair of lips moving on his lips, tasting and savoring the taste of his lips. He was in shock that he didn't move or think for a few seconds. He hadn't expected her to be this proactive that she would make a move on him. And soon, he couldn't take it and kissed her back."Williams I need-" Rosetta tried to tell him she needed air, but he didn't let her move, neither did he give her a breathing space. It felt like he wanted to steal every bit of air in her and leave her breathles
THIRD PERSON POVRosetta never ventured near Williams dick, though, but he really wished she would. Just when he thought her knee would get close, she suddenly stopped and stilled as well. He suddenly feared that she had woken up but then as he stole a glance at her, he saw she was now deep in sleep. He sighed helplessly and also tried to calm himself down, but he couldn't, he was so turned on by her even though all she did was rub her face against his chest. He tried brushing it off, but he couldn't still. He groaned, frustrated and left the bed, headed to the bathroom. Williams walked into the bathroom to have a nice cold bathe to help him calm the nerves down. Holding on to the railing, he didn't bother closing the shower curtain and turned on the tap, but as the cold water cascaded down his body, the calmness he had expected didn't come. Instead, it seemed like the water became hot as it touched his body. He grunted in anger, he just couldn't get he thought of Rosetta out of his h
THIRD PERSON POVWilliams had his jaw set hard and his hands balled into fists. He watched as men threw their money at the promise of a night with a woman. His woman. Rosetta. The thought alone made his blood boil. They must all already be imagining putting their disgusting hands all over her.Soon enough she was taken back inside and Williams wanted to go after her when Connor held him back. He had stayed close, trying to read Williams' mood. "Sir, we need a plan. We can't just bust in there. It's too risky for Miss Rosetta."Williams shot Connor a look that could freeze fire. "You think I don't know that? But sitting here, doing nothing, that's not an option either is it Connor?."Over at the bar, a woman with a slick smile and too much cologne walked up to them. "Gentlemen, can I interest you in tonight's special? High stakes, but the reward is... exquisite." Connor stepped forward, his voice low. "That woman on the stage just now... Rosetta."The woman's smile faltered, then he ch
THIRD PERSON POV"How much money do you have? Two million for a woman. If you can take it out, I'll give her to you to play with!" Two million was an astronomical figure for these street thugs. The man in the carriage was speechless after that and kept their mouths shut.Rosetta's mouth was blocked but her ears were good. Listening to their conversation, made her heart became colder. These bastards actually wanted to use her to have sex with her, and then give her out to old rich men for money?!!. This was simply too detestable.Rosetta couldn't stand it anymore, the feeling of being helpless was too annoying to someone like her who was always in control of everything. How on earth did she get beaten by the mother daughter duo?Her legs were so numb that she could not stand it anymore. The side ofher face was hit and her ears were buzzing as it was all reddish like a tomato. She did not have the strength to struggle and resist anymore. She could only pray to the heavens that they qu
