Rory woke me with a gentle shake. The smile on her face told me I was in for some trouble as her test subject.
“You slept through lunch. That Dramamine really knocked you out.” She chuckled, handing me a tray of food from the hospital cafeteria. “Eat up. I’m all done with the serum and I want to test it out.”
I ate slowly, the mischievous grin Rory was giving me leaving me nervous. I knew she wouldn’t do anything to cause me harm, but I didn’t care for the idea of being a science experiment. Her grin grew even wider when I realized I couldn’t drag out my meal any further. She picked up two vials from the counter beside her and waved them in the air.
