You make it real

I spent more time in my room these days than ever and hardly came downstairs.

When I got home from school or from work, Romano was nowhere to be found. In fact, he barely spoke to me during the whole week, he only looked at me with an unreadable expression on his face and never smiled at me unless he absolutely had to.

I knew that I shouldn't be jealous of anyone, and that it was wrong to feel that way, but nevertheless I couldn't help it.

Romano had already accepted that I was his wife, but I could tell that he wasn't entirely comfortable with the idea.

I didn't blame him. I was still learning how to adjust to being married to him and I probably wouldn't be any good at it either.

I had promised Romano that I would do my best to make him forget about his past and move forward, but every time he glanced in my direction, I could still feel his icy stare piercing through my soul.

At night, whenever I tried to sleep, I'd lay awake on my bed, listening to the sounds coming from outside.
