10|quenching anger thirst

I fished a calculus book from my locker then waddled to the classroom. I had arrived at school ten minutes earlier because of the beautiful fact that the apartment I resided in was located a few blocks from the school.

Lucky me, indeed.

I dug my hand into my denim high-waist pants' pocket and extracted my phone. I swiftly typed a text to Sydney. We have been getting close lately.

Me: Hae girl, where are you?

After a few seconds, she responded.

Syd: Hi, Bree, I passed by the clinic to check up on the wound, I'll be there in a few minutes.

Me: Alright. I hope 'the witch' didn't cast her evil spell on you again.

Syd: Lol no, she didn't. She left home a little early today, I don't know what's on her sleeves. Just be careful.

Me: I will. But I won't hold it if she crosses the wrong side.

Syd and I continued texting as I giggled at most of the nasty things she said about the evil witch, Harriet. I learned that their relationship as sisters wasn't good.
