"Good afternoon class?" Miss Ken, our Talent and Skills professor, greeted us.

She was the only young professor in the college. She was gaunt, with sunken cheeks and protruded cheekbones, her melanoid hair was always resting on her small back. Judging by her leanness, one could tell that eating was the least of her priorities.

She strolled back and forth in front of the classroom while waving her slim hand to the tune of the music that we were currently singing. Angelic voices wafted in the air as the song rose and fell.

I noticed that everyone was singing except Harriet, my girlfriend. She was chewing on a piece of strawberry gum while constantly throwing evil glances at Brenda who was seated at a distance from us.

She was annoyed by Brenda like I was, but I had a reason, what was Harriet's reason to hate Brenda?

The question rang in my head as I witnessed the devilish looks that Harriet was showering on Brenda.
