09|overwhelming situation

The day expired without another hullabaloo in school. I would have been joyful about it but then I was back home. The living hell. I knew that I needed to get used to the harsh reality. No matter how difficult it seemed.

I wished I could run away from everything, maybe to an island where I would be alone. Seeing mum around was reminding me that I was a pathetic daughter to her. It wounded me every second. The lesion was fresh, one that uncertainly would heal.

I was woken from my peaceful nap by the sound of a car engine going off. I knew my parents had just arrived from work, or wherever they were because I couldn't understand them anymore.

I was lying on my stomach. It was how I loved to sleep, even as a kid. It was also an easy way to sleep with shoes on. I hadn't done anything since I arrived from school.

My limbs felt like a sledgehammer had whacked them because they were throbbing in affliction.
