The next day, Nate prepared for what’s to come. He knew as soon as his dad dies, things would get more complicated. As the next of kin, Nate and Alex are expected to take over his business. This means Nate was expected to join the Mafia alongside Alex. But that wasn’t part of Nate’s plan. He couldn’t let that happen. He promised Amelia that he’d stay away.
He went to meet with Alex and Roz, his father’s right-hand man, at the den. His father’s lawyer was supposed to be there for the Will reading as well.
“There you are, Nate,” Roz said as soon as he entered the room. “He is going to go through the will now,” he added and motioned to the lawyer.
