Elira

“I was gonna cook these deer steaks the old-fashioned way,” Brad said, slapping a bowl of meat onto the counter with a thud. “But now that we’ve got a goddess in the kitchen, maybe she can just look at ’em real hard and poof—dinner’s served.”

Crawl snorted. “You’re just mad she didn’t make you a glowing snowball.”

“I’m just saying,” Brad grinned, ignoring his cousin. “Seems like a waste of divine power to let it sit idle when there’s hungry mouths to feed.”

Everyone turned to me.

I blinked. “You want me to… magic the meat?”

Brad leaned against the counter, arms crossed like he was dead serious. “Unless you’d rather gut potatoes.”

I squinted at the steaks. “I’m not sure cooking by emotional manifestation is in the Moon Goddess’s guidebook.”

Janet chimed in from the sink, drying dishes. “Couldn’t hurt to try?”

I sighed, stepped forward, and stared at the meat.

Okay. Cook, dammit.

I reached out a hand, hovering my palm above the thickest cut, willing it to sizzle. Nothing. I scrunc

RonanThe basket was pathetic.Lopsided, brittle in places, half the weave too loose, the other half too tight. It looked like it had survived a war. Or been made during one.But Elira had made it. First thing she ever wove with her own hands. I’d watched her curse every strand of straw, had to pry the thing out of her fists when she almost lit it on fire in frustration. And she’d kept it. Proof that she didn’t quit.I held it up now, inspecting it like it was some ancient artifact.“We’re going to start with this,” I said. She blinked at me from where she was crouched by the fire, drying her hands. “You want me to… repair that mess?”“No. I want you to make a new one.”She frowned. “That’ll take me all day.”“Not if you use your magic.”Her shoulders stiffened.“I don’t know how,” she said.I walked over slowly, crouched beside her, basket still in hand. “You do. You’ve done it before. The orb for Cole. The snow. Me when you brought me back to life. You know how. But the more you kee

EliraMy thighs were still trembling.Every part of me—skin, breath, bones—felt stretched too thin, like I’d been pulled apart and stitched back together with fire. The kind of fire that licks at you slow, threatens to consume you whole, and then stops just before it does. And it wasn’t just the sex.It was him.Ronan hadn’t just touched my body. He’d trained it.Tempered it like steel in a forge. Edged me with a weapon’s precision and refused to let me break. Until I begged. Until I burned. Until I learned.I lay there, sprawled on the bed of straw, still catching my breath, the scent of smoke and sex thick around me. The glow I’d worked so hard to dim flickered low under my skin now, no longer pulsing wild with every heartbeat. He made me control it.Made me like it.Gods, what kind of man does that?A monster.A mate.My mate.My legs ached from how hard I’d clenched them. My throat was sore from all the sounds I tried to swallow. And my magic? It felt… different. Calmer. Sharper.

RonanShe stood wrapped in that wool blanket, skin warm and flushed from the fire, but it wasn’t the flames painting her golden. It was her. That glow—the soft, pulsing shimmer just beneath the surface—lit her like something sacred and sinful all at once. And it wasn’t fading.“Still glowing,” I said, stepping closer. She bit her lip and dropped her gaze. “Can’t help it.”“You need to.” My voice came low. Measured. Intentional. “You have to learn how.”Her eyes flicked up to mine.“So this is a lesson?” she asked, coy but already breathless. My hand curled around her waist, dragging her against me. I could feel the hum beneath her skin. Like she was barely holding herself together.“No,” I said, brushing my mouth over the corner of hers. “This is training.”I kissed her slow—deep enough to make her toes curl, soft enough not to break her. And when her hips tilted toward mine, that glow brightened like it had a heartbeat of its own.I pulled back. Her whimper was instant.“Control, Eli

EliraThe cold had teeth again, sharp and playful as it nipped at my cheeks and nose. I tugged my scarf higher and matched Ronan’s stride as we followed the snow-packed trail back toward our cabin. Behind us, the hum of laughter and warmth still drifted from Brad’s place like a memory that hadn’t quite let go.Ronan didn’t speak, just kept moving with the quiet confidence of a man who didn’t waste energy on what didn’t need saying.I, however, had no such restraint.“So…” I started, letting the word hang in the air like a question. He glanced sideways at me. “So?”“What’s the plan?” I asked. “To get us out of the wastelands, I mean. Now that we’re officially a pack, what comes next?”He didn’t answer right away. His jaw flexed, breath misting in front of him as he stared straight ahead.“I don’t know yet,” he admitted finally. “But we can’t stay here forever. This place—it’s barely surviving. The kids deserve better. You deserve better.”We walked in silence a few more steps before he

Elira“What the fuck is that?”Crawl was the first to break the silence, pointing a thick finger at the glowing orb still dancing under Cole’s tiny hands. Dex leaned in beside him, squinting like it might bite.“I… don’t actually know,” I said, straightening slowly. “I just felt bad I didn’t have a gift for his birthday and… I don’t know. I went outside and this just sort of… happened.”“Sort of?” Brad echoed. “That’s not a sort of kind of thing, Elira. That’s—”“A fucking miracle,” Dex muttered.Ronan stepped forward, arm brushing mine. “Alright,” he said, tone commanding. “We need to talk.”That got everyone’s attention.“We’re a pack,” Ronan continued, gaze sweeping the room. “Which means we don’t keep secrets.”I glanced at him, unsure if I was ready for this. But he gave my hip the slightest squeeze, grounding me.He turned back to the others. “Turns out Elira isn’t just some cursed she-wolf with a Luna’s mark and a bad track record with Alphas.”Thanks, babe.“She’s…” he paused
