"Three years ago," Weston confirmed. "I saw that article about Ravenwood Industries. About how you'd named your company after some family connection. I did some digging. Found out you'd been found by Queen Margaret. That you were the 'dead' granddaughter who'd miraculously come back to life."

"And instead of confessing, you decided to destroy my business," Elena said.

"I decided to protect myself," Weston corrected. "You were getting too powerful. Making too much money. Drawing too much attention. Eventually someone was going to start investigating your past.
