Chapter Four

Cast POV:

Well, that was horrible timing. Xavier my gamma mindlinked us warning that they had spotted rougues on pack lands and we needed to head to the doegun to intergrate them, that was suspcious timing after our Emma was brought to us after all. Watching Keiran with her reminded me of old times when we used to share maids around the castle.As I made my way to the lower levels of the castle other memories flooded my mind. Memories of when life was more simple before Kieran was broken, I'm hoping Emma and I can bring him back to life and help him see that cunt was not his mate and nothing more then a distraction. He never believed me.  Before there was anyone else there was always Keiran for me. Before I was the alpha I was just Cast, Kieran was the only one after I took my position as alpha who could call me that still. Keiran and I grew up together and spent our days together playing, running in the woods. On my sixteen birthday when I got my wolf my first shift had happened right before Keiran had come to meet me in the woods. We were going to go fishing. 

I felt the stab of pain incircling all around me and the wind blowing and it felt like my body was on fire. Moans began to escape my lips as my bones started to twist and crack I could feel my hair growing and coming off my body at the same time. For me because I was the future alpha of my pack I could feel the other's in the pack as well. As I shifted I heard and felt Kieran come around the corner he didn't see me at first as he was a year younger then I was. 

I knew as soon as I saw him as the sun glided off of him in waves and his face went from curious to worried. He had been calling my name out and I hadn't responded to him. I stepped forward in my wolf form which was a massive black and white wolf. His eyes became wide and a boyish grin plastered on his face. 

"Whoa Cast." 

Immediatley Kieran bowed in respect but then he did something unexpected he looked up and dragged his hand and ruffled my fur, with that touch I knew he was my mate. My wolf moved closer ready to calim what was mine. But, Kieran backed up. "Hey, I come in peace buddy it's me your best friend. Next year I'm gonna be like you. I'll be your beta just like we talked about." We spent the rest of that day playing in the river me in my wolf form and Kieran with his shirt off. 

Other memories flooded my mind. The first time we shared a woman was the first time both of us had sex with anyone, it was right after his shift and I had spent a full year pinning over the one person who wouldn't see me or couldn't see me as someone other than their alpha. Kieran's beta training had started and it was taking over his damn personality. I hated it. But, I convinced him to have a couple of drinks with me and a maid I had snuck out of the castle. One dance with the three of us and a handful of beers later and we found ourselves sneaking back into the castle but sleeping in my room all three of us. 

It was right then that I knew Kieran was it for me but, I also had a sneaking suspcian that we weren't just two mates but three. I felt in my bones that their needed to be another mate with us to make us whole, Kieran needed it and so did I. It wasn't until I saw Emma walk through the door that I felt it was her. I sighed, Kieran needed time still, I was going to have to go about this very very slowly to get the two of them to fall in love with me. But, I was an alpha after all and an alpha always get's what he wants no matter what. 

Lost in my thoughts I hadn't realized yet that I had arrived at the douegon entrance where my prisoner was being held. As I approached both my guards they each bowed heavily. Waving my arm they both opened the door for me as I walked through I saw my gamma Xavier waiting for me, he was covered in sweat and blood still.

"Alpha" He nodded and moved a little out of the way so I could see the prisoner. I nodded in return and pointed to the flithy guy sitting on the cold floor. 

"Has he said anything yet?

 "No alpha." 

 "What happened? Tell me how you found him exactly, don't leave anything out." 

Just then the door swung open again and Kieran stepped through, dawning a white tshirt with his black dress pants he looked good. Too good for this. Looking at me he smiled slightly uneasy. Still heated from our exchange with our new pet I assume. It always took him a while to come down. 

"Did you forget we always interrogate prisoners together alpha or are you trying to do things on your own now?"

 I smiled back going forward and caging him in like he was my prey because thats what he was. Just like I wanted to possess Emma I wanted to possess Kieran as well. I wanted to see that crazy look him his eyes that he used to have. Touch him and die. When we were younger it used to be that way. Now I only saw the look of death. The look of nothing. He couldn't feel anything because he believed he had lost his one true mate. Oh, how wrong he was and I was gonna have to make him believe how wrong he was, no matter what it took.
