Chapter Two 

Kieran POV: 

I look at Cast. He looks at me and shrugs. “Better go after her good Beta.” I narrowed my eyes on him. This is not a game I’m willing to play. I’m not a chess piece on a board. “What the fuck will you be doing then?” He looks at me unimpressed. “I’ll be moving your things and hers into my bedroom. I know you’ll be able to charm her. But, I have heard she’s fast for a she wolf so you’ll need to move that tight ass of yours.”  

"Oh, and be careful we have had sightings of wolf hunters on the property. She can not be harmed by you, Kieran."

“When I get back I’m going to kill you.”

He laughs and points to the contract. “That contract you just signed is ironclad. If you go against it or we don’t jointly marry her for whatever reason. The alpha of Red Moon has the right to come to these lands and kill you. Furthermore the only thing you’ll be doing when you get back is giving me a massage. You owe me.”  

He points a finger at me to further his point. I look at him and think about my plan and how sweet revenge will taste when I kill her. Her blood dripped out of my mouth as I dropped her head off into the lap of her father. I then think about what it might feel like to mark her. Thoughts of her naked body enter my mind. No, stop. You can't do this to yourself Kieran.  

“If you don’t go after her I will. I’ll mark her first and fuck her first and there won’t be anything you can do about it. We both know how you hate losing Kieran. I’ll make you watch you know? The whole time. I’ll make you watch.” Cast says this to me while rubbing his dick, and my mouth waters. I can’t help it when I turn and start walking after her. I can catch her in no time. The perimeter has an electric fence. Once she reaches it she’ll be electrocuted. I flip him the bird and shout over my shoulder.  

“It’ll be me who ties you up with Alpha Cast just so you can lose control. I can’t wait to watch you go nuts.” I wink at him and again flip him off as I turn my walk into a run out the door. I don’t know how he is so calm. Maybe because after all these years Cast is finally getting what he wants.  

I run out the door and into the field that is right outside the pack house. Shit she is fast. I shift into my wolf form to help bridge some of the distance. I can sense her before I can see her. Shifting back into my human form I want to yell for her to come back. But, instead I go with-

“Hey, I know you’re out here. You might as well come out and play. We won’t bite you much. Well I might bite you a lot but Cast will take it easy on you.” I chuckle that last part as I slow my pace to an almost walk. She's close. I can smell her now. I hear paws pounding on the ground and I turn my head to see the most stunning naked woman I’ve ever seen.  

“Who the fuck do you think you are?” Emma growls into my throat. She begins hitting me and biting me. I move my head from side to side avoiding most of the damage she is trying to inflict.  

“Whoa sweet heart if you keep biting me remember I bite back and I do enjoy violent foreplay.” I wink at her and she looks like she might vomit. I pick her up underneath her legs and carry her bridal style. Looking at her she doesn’t look horrible. Tall, red headed with the most interesting emerald eyes I’ve ever seen. She keeps wiggling and I have want to rip her throat out and half want to fuck her.  I hear a branch snap suddenly, we are further into the pack lands then I had intended. I got so excited about hunting her I lost track of how deep we went into the woods.

We hear another snap of a twig like someone is backing away, Emma's eyes snap to my attention and I place my finger over my lips to signal to quiet her down. She nods. We are too far from the pack house. I gently put her down and that is when I hear the whooshing of arrows flying through the air past us. Pushing Emma down I'm ready to go into full attack mode after Liv's funeral fuck any tresspassers. We had problems with wolf hunters coming onto our lands in the past and they were not going to start again. I motion to Emma to stay here behind a rock while I go after the hunters. I see them step into view looking around.

Emma of course refuses and whispers that she's "helping".

I motion for her to stay put and force her down once again, but out of the corner of my eye I think I see a rock and then I feel pain seering into the left side of my head and ringing in my ears and she fucking hits me with it once, twice,  I feel the blood dripping down the side of face as I slump to the ground and watch her try and make a bee line for the high way that runs parallel to our lands naked. I'm really going to enjoy killing this bitch after I make her fall in love with me. Those are my last thoughts before I black out.

The hunters step out into the wooded clearing-

"I know they were just here. We will fetch a big pay day for a female shifter, keep her unharmed boys, spread out and start looking like they can't be far."
