The night had deeply enveloped the land, but the half moon's appearance was unusual – a phenomenon known as the "Moon of Horizontal Divide"
"The luminary of prophecy," an elderly man uttered, gazing intently at the moon, he was on a mountain. He quickly averted his gaze, fearing the moon's influence might cause him to shift unintentionally and lose himself. The young man accompanying him also looked away from the moon. "What is that, Grandpa?" he asked. "The coming of the luminary of prophecy is near. Do you know what that means?" The youth shook his head in response. "It means the arrival of one destined to vanquish the Carnifex and the one who controls them, the powerful sorceress who has never revealed herself to the world, is near. According to prophecy, when the luminary arrives, he will bring peace to the entire land by defeating the sorceress Divina and the monsters she made." The youth's eyes widened, shining with excitement. "Wow, is that true?" he asked in awe. "That's amazing! When will he arrive? Is there's an exact date for his appearance?" The old man stopped and thought for a moment. "I don't know... Yeah, you're right. I guess nobody knows when he's showing up. We'll just have to wait and see, I suppose." The Carnifex are a type of Werewolf that cannot transform into human form because they are undead creatures. They are cursed and under the control of the sorceress Divina, who commands them to hunt and kill Werewolves. According to the elderly, Divina's goal is to eradicate the entire Werewolf community, and she created the Carnifex from former Werewolves to achieve this. This prophecy is well-known among the Werewolf community, but it's mostly the elderly council members and those who study the prophecies who pay attention to it; the young ones tend to overlook it. After talking for a while, the two of them then descended from the mountain and headed home. . . . Coinciding with the appearance of the sign on the moon was the beginning of a change in the fate of a young woman, who unbeknownst to everyone, would play a significant role in the future. "Stay away! Don't touch me!" Shamia cried out in the dark and cold night as a stranger suddenly pounced on her, appearing out of nowhere. She was stunned for a second as she saw the handsome face of the man when he lay on top of her. She admitted that this was the first time she had seen such striking features. Every detail on his face - his eyes, nose, lips, and even his accentuated jaw - gave him a strong and masculine look, seemingly like a great painter's masterpiece. Her gaze lingered on his chiseled features for only a moment, though, before her attention was caught by his erratic behavior. He seemed out of his mind, acting like he was craving and greedy to eat, like he was extremely starving. Shamia's instincts screamed warning as she gazed into his bloodshot eyes. His menacing aura sent shivers down her spine. Could this be a Carnifex, a monstrous creature from her kind's darkest tales? Rumors spread that Carnifexes were undead Werewolves, driven by a sorcerer's dark magic to devour her own kind and sow chaos. The sorcerer's vengeance against the werewolves was said to be merciless, seeking to eradicate their entire bloodline. Shamia struggled, but what could a weakling like her, devoid of wolf spirit, do against the man's strength? She was clearly no match for him, and soon she was overpowered. Resigned to her fate, she closed her eyes tightly and waited for him to devour her alive, knowing she'd be his dinner for tonight. But what she expected didn't happen. As the man loomed over her, she thought he'd start feasting on her, but instead, she felt his warm lips brushing against her neck. She thought maybe he'd start there, but instead, he gave her a passionate kiss. It was then followed by a series of fervent kisses. 'What's going on?' she wondered. Shouldn't he be eating her? What was he doing instead? Shamia jolted as she felt the man's hand caressing her bre*st. "W-wait, what are you doing?" She tried to stop him, but he grasped both of her hands and pinned them above her head. With the man's strength, Shamia was helpless. A strange feeling crept over her - it seemed the man had other "appetites" in mind for her. But didn't he find her disgusting? Her face and body were dirty from a whole day's work at the quarry; couldn't he see the mud she had smeared over her face? Yet, the man seemed out of his senses, oblivious to her state as long as he could satiate his desires. The man ruthlessly removed Shamia's lower garments without difficulty. Moments later, Shamia felt a searing pain in her intimate area. As the man took her roughly, Shamia felt her insides being torn apart. She screamed even louder to seek help, unfortunately, no one came to to help her, as if the area was deserted. Shamia quietly cried and resigned herself to her fate. The man was successfully took her first time. He only did it once, but he looked extremely tired. Afterward, he didn't immediately withdraw from her body. A moment later, Shamia felt the man's hand beside her eye. She froze in her tears as he gently wiped them away with his fingers. "I'm sorry," he whispered softly. "Don't worry, I'll take responsibility for you." Shamia couldn't fully understand, but the words brought her a sense of peace. The thought that the man might be a carnifex completely slipped her mind; instead, the strong aura he exuded convinced her that he was likely an Alpha from a powerful pack. Shamia couldn't recall what happened next as she lost consciousness. When she woke up, Shamia found herself alone. As she sat up, a searing ache coursed through her core. Yet, when she glanced down, she noticed she was already dressed. If not for the throbbing pain, she might have convinced herself it was all a dream—that nothing had truly happened to her. She made her way home, limping with every step. Unbeknownst to her, her departure from that place marked the beginning of an irreversible shift in her life."A-andrick...." Andrick turned behind him, he jolted out of a daze the moment he saw Shamia. He took off his jacket and put it on the woman clinging to him. Shamia composed herself and didn't think much for now, certain that Andrick had a reason. She slowly made her way at the two of them. She wanted to ask who the woman was, but the latter seems too scared while still clinging tightly to Andrick. "It's okay, you're safe now." Andrick reassured her.Shamia clenched her fists. When she asked Andrick about the woman, he didn't answer; instead, he asked her, "What are you doing here?""I was looking for you, you've been–" Shamia's words trailed off as Andrick walked past her, escorting the woman in his arms. He seemingly oblivious to what she was saying. Shamia bit her lip. Before he left, Andrick mentioned he had some important matters to attend to and couldn't go home yet, telling her to head home first.'Important matters? Is that woman he's referring to?' shamia pouted to herse
Shamia stopped crying when she saw the man hurrying towards her. "Andrick!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with joy and relief, feeling safe at last. However, the security personnel suddenly appeared and quickly grabbed him. When the masked man in the private room noticed that the two seemed to know each other, he ordered the security to release andrick. He then emerged from the private room. When Shamia saw him, she froze, she momentarily forgot about Andrick. She wondered if she had seen the man before. Andrick leaped onto the stage and swept Shamia into his arms. He held her tightly. "I thought I'd never see you again. I have so many questions to ask you, but we need to get out of here first."When the masked man saw the scene where two figures were entwined in each other's arms onstage, he felt a surge of unease within him. 'Xeur, calm down!' he ordered and reminded his wolf spirit, Xeur. 'Why are you doing nothing? Separate them!' When the man didn't move, Xeur grew angrier.
"Hector said you want to be discharged?""Yes, Dad. My wounds are already treated, and I'm healing fast. I'm also missing Shamia," Andrick replied, sitting on the hospital bed with a book in hand. Gregor's expression darkened at the mention of Shamia. He shouldn't have let Andrick find out what happened, but if he went home, he wouldn't be able to keep it a secret anymore. And as expected, when Andrick got home:"What?!"Andrick exclaimed in shock. "How did she leave? What do you mean? Where did she go?"The servant bowed her head. "Alpha, when we went to Ms. Shamia's room, she was nowhere to be found. But we did find this letter." When the letter was brought to Andrick, he immediately read it with one hand, since the other was in an arm sling. He crumpled the paper when he read that Shamia left because she had met someone better than him. "No, this can't be true..."Gregor stepped forward. "What don't you believe? The letter's right in your hand. Every woman you've liked has betray
This was Shamia's first kiss, so she couldn't help but feel scared. She pushed Andrick away, but he was much stronger than her. Remembering his kindness to shield her and giving her a new life, she didn't resist anymore. When Andrick stopped, he held the woman in front of him by the cheeks and stared intently. "Ingrid... I knew you'd come back to me. I knew you wouldn't leave me."Shamia froze. She realized the man had mistaken her for another woman. She felt a pang of sadness that her first kiss had gone just like that. She removed his hands from her face and bowed her head. "I'm sorry, I-I'm not Ingrid... I'm Shamia."Andrick froze for a moment after he regained his senses. He pulled his face away to properly see the woman in front of him. Upon realizing it was Shamia, he looked slightly panicked. "Oh, it's you.... I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." He held his forehead and leaned against the edge of the table. "I was drunk, please don't be mad at me." Earlier, Shamia had been unsure
"This is where some individuals from our community reside. There are also a few families here; I can knock on their doors so you can check if the person you're looking for is with them," the leader said to his "visitors." "That's a good idea. Go ahead, knock on the doors now." Hector, the man who argued with the guard earlier, ordered. The alpha signaled to him because of his tone, but fortunately, the leader didn't mind his rough demeanor. As they traversed the shanties, they suddenly heard a loud scream from a woman, as if she was hurt or possibly being abused. Andrick felt a pang in his heart, inexplicably sensing the pain the woman was experiencing as if it were his own. "Andrick!" Hector called out as their Alpha suddenly sprinted toward the direction of the scream. They quickly followed. When they arrived at a shanty house, Andrick had already opened the door and now stood in front of a room. When he kicked the door open, they were met with a scene of several people tryin
"Shamia, come back here!" her mother Shirley shouted as Shamia suddenly ran away. Shamia headed to Rui's house to hide. "Good thing Grandpa isn't here yet. Come on, hide at the back, you'll be safe there."When night fell, Shamia's father, Rexor, arrived. "Shamia isn't here," Rui replied without blinking, sounding like she was telling the truth. She swallowed hard as Rexor gazed at her intensely. "I can smell her scent here, so I know she's been here and you're just hiding her. Bring her out if you don't want to get involved." There was a threat in his tone.Just then, Rui's grandfather arrived home from work at the quarry. "What's going on here?" he asked with a furrowed brows. He had known Rexor for a long time, but he didn't like him. "I'm just here to take my daughter, then I'll leave," Rexor replied coldly.Rui's grandfather turned to her. "Just hand over the person he's looking for, or I'll be the one to deal with you."Rui hesitated, she bit her lip. What was she going to
